My daughter in Wellington arranged for this to be delivered on my birthday while I was in Dunedin. It could not be faulted - it was fresh and delicious. So much so that I ordered one for my mum's birthday two days ago. The same Black Forest cake and again the service and cake couldn't have been better. Thank you. Sharon

The Dessert Room baked our wedding cake and it was perfect! It was a simple two-tier cake with two flavours. It was well made and tasted delicious. There were plenty of good comments coming from the guests and will definitely use the Dessert Room again and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a cake for a special occasion.

We recently got married in Dunedin on April 2019. We stumbled upon the Dessert Room through word of mouth from family members. We were able to provide an idea of what we wanted our cake to look like, three tiered, three flavors, white icing and gold ribbon. The Dessert Room exceeded all our expectations. They took the time to ensure they got all the details right, embellished it with our flower theme and ensured a timely delivery. Many of guests went back for seconds and thirds because they were so impressed with how delicious the cake was (chocolate, vanilla and carrot). Thank you for making our day special! We would definitely recommend The Dessert Room for your catering needs!

Ordered a Banoffee pie from The Dessert Room and it was the BEST one I ever had. I keep coming back to them as they make the best cakes and pies in Dunedin. Keep up the amazing work guys!

Good cakes very pricey but you pay for what you get

Special occasions require special cakes. We have been ordering our cakes from this place. My favorite would be the decadent dairy free chocolate cake. Don't expect the specific cake ready made in their shelf when you walk into the shop. You need to order it online or phone them. Take special note if your event is on the weekend.

Cake was light and delicious, establishment was clean and smelled wonderfully of the day's baked goods. I also had great service when I placed the order on the phone and when picking up the cake. A++ will do business again.

I had occasions to order cakes a few days apart and ordered both from The Dessert Room. Service was good. Cakes were pretty and made to specifications. Only one problem, both cakes were dry and tasted like cardboard.

Good service. Nice looking cakes but would have preferred a freshly sliced piece instead of already cut slice on display as was dry.

WONDERFUL company! Found them on the internet as I needed to send my daughter (hungry Otago student - 23 tomorrow!) a cake as we (her doting family) can't be there to share one with her... Kate and the wonderful team at Dessert Room went out of their way to help me find the perfect cake for Abbie to share with her housemates & friends - their website made it easy to see and order at really reasonable rates (although the array of YUMMY looking cakes made it hard to choose from!!!) ... and they even delivered it to her for me for a small and fair charge! xxx Thanks so much to The Dessert Room, this Mum doesn't feel so sad and guilty about not being there on such a special day now - you're going to make it special for her and I really appreciate your professional but caring Company!!! warmest regards, Alie :o)
