J.Passing through Fielding yesterday I discovered a treasure. The Rosebowl Bakery & Cafe......like no other.
From cake decorating galore to takeaway baked breads and slices to menu meals in the Cafe.

A.This cafe has been around for some years always popular for its birthday cakes and seems to be well patronized. I had a bun which had plenty of filling, it would have been better heated though. Overall a nice cafe plenty of food choices.
E.Generally have a good experience here. The food is good, in expensive and the service is good. However was shocked to see customers taking food items out of the cabinet with their hands and not with the tongs provided. When I paid for my order it seemed like not everyone was being asked to show their Vaccine Pass which is a legal requirement. There were also a few tables that had not been cleared and cleaned. The table where we were sat was rather sticky.
B.Yummy food! Good range of pies, sandwiches and rolls, and of cakes and biscuits. Might be a little pricey but quality worth it.
They also have a section with a wide range of baking related things like cake tins, icing paraphernalia and decorating
K.Absolutely fantastic service! A last minute decision, I ordered 2 rice paper cake toppers online late in the afternoon, and they were ready the next morning. Beautifully printed photos. Can't thank you enough.
S.The food is pretty much what you'd expect, but the coffee could be way better. I said "extra extra hot", but it wasn't. Admitted - it was rather busy, so I don't want to be too critical. The free water had a nasty after taste, which I really disliked. Compared with central Wellington or Auckland locations, the prices were rather high. I've never really got the OTT prices especially for coffee in Feilding (I once paid over $6!). There's nothing to justify that. Anyway, let's not digress. The taste of the steak and pepper pie was lovely, but the meat was a bit gristly. The place is very large and rather like a canteen - which is lovely for families with kids. Indeed, the Rosebowl is very kid friendly. General verdict: Not my fav place in Feilding, but I'd go again if I had to take kids out for lunch.
L.Good selection hot/cold meals, average quality, service is usually quite pleasant. Table service is more of a drop and go. If you need your table to be cleared/wipes, you need to ask otherwise it won't be done.
A.I'm afraid I was very disappointed. This is I thought a bakery, but the neenish tart I had was a pastry case filled with icing and icing alone . The custard squares looked like mass produced tasteless objects . Coffee was very average too
Their sandwiches and pies were very nice and they have a fabulous array of baking and cake decorating supplies howeverI think a bakery could do a lot better with their pastries and not have cheap and nasty ingredients.
J.After a night out I needed to walk off that dusty feeling. Being Easter Sunday nothing was open so I thought, what better time to grab a dirty pie to kickstart my day. Thankfully Rosebowl was open.
I got the steak and cheese pie, which was packed with cheesy flavour and chunks of melt-in-your-mouth beef. I did feel it was a bit on the salty side but overall a good pie.
A.Yeah, it was good, I do find pies, in general, expensive, but I guess if ya want a good pie, ya get what ya get... On the other hand, the Bailey's cheesecake was blimey tasty... 🤭😜
M.Nice folks. Donuts did not seem fresh in day we went. They tasted good just not as soft or fresh as other times.
S.Its just a small cake but it was a short notice order, ordered online & had the option of paying online or in-store which i thought was great. Arranged pick up day & time through the online checkout process, theres options to leave any notes or info you might want them to know as well. Overall super happy with the cake we had made, it was beautifully presented & decorated & my son was really happy with it.
The cake was a 15'' round chocolate mud cake with cookies & cream flavoured butter cream icing & topped with drip chocolate, more icing & oreo cookies.
The cost of this size & type of cake was $40. It actually fed 6 of us a decent piece & there was still half a cake left.
It was very yummy!!

J.Food serving sizes were decent but taste wise was so so. Payment counter was a bit strange as it combines with the gift shop's counter and could get held up when busy

The layout is weird, always has been, because it is a bakery, a cafe and a cake decoration supply business all in one. Because of that, the flow is odd- right to left, with cashiers stuck in the middle. The food makes up for it
D.Large variety of food ! Very good staff and fast in cleaning up. Slightly disappointed with the pie, didn’t taste fresh, possibly gotten the old batch. Outdoor seating had a lot of flies flying around.

Service is okay, there is no extra special attention to detail. I have been several times and not once did anyone ask if everything was okay.

H.The food is really nice. The rosebowl burger is packed full of flavour, super yummy. The bakery items are good and they have a huge range of cake baking and decorating supplies. I have also tried the double cheeseburger pie and it is amazing! It has really good flavour and when cut in half you can see it has been nicley made.By far the best pie at Rosebowl and my new favourite pie. Highly recommend going there.
m.Great variety of options. Gorgeous cakes and lovely savories. The pie pastry was flakey and buttery, will definitely be back.

S.I had my wedding cake made here. Each layer was able to be a different flavour. They photographed the lace applique on my wedding dress and made icing copies of it to put on my cake. The flowers were similar to what was in my bouquet and table arrangements. It was beautiful and the staff I dealt with were friendly and able to deliver to the venue for me. Couldn't have been more helpful. Great service! The photo does not do the cake justice, it was stunning!

Y.I always travel from Palmy for my birthday cakes & parties. A lovely big cake shop with savouries etc. The Rainbow Fairy Cake I bought last was dry & not sweet enough. Hope the quality improves.

L.Large variety of fresh (and yummy) cream doughnuts. If you're baking a cake, this is where you want to go. Great variety of creative cake toppers and bits and pieces. Friendly service. Just visited the shop part but there is seating too so I guess a bit of a cafe.

Did try a lovely cake that someone purchased from Rose bowl and it was quite nice, but nothing outstanding. If you are looking for a quick bite, it is a nice place to go. However the pies can never beat the OG pies from the bakery down the road..

J.Great variety of hot and cold food, though self service queues were confusing and people didn't know where to go or what line they should be in. Staff were friendly, service to the table was good. The atmosphere was good. The whole layout of the place is not functioning well. Too confusing.
N.Ohhhhhhhhhh yeah breakfast of champions so much better then McDonald's every time, the team are very helpful and talented. Great start to the day, and they do everything bakers should do.

M.So hard to choose what to eat, I'm a bit choosey, still a good selection tempts me. And wow the gingerbread hot chocolate mmmm very good. The 3 of us found we should stir as we drink, quite thick near the base. Will definitely go back to try the other delectible delights.

K.Spoilt for choice for pies, slices, doughnuts etc. Does a nice basic menu for dine in that has something for everyone.
The baking goods shop is great for special items, e.g. special baking tins for hire, specialty cupcake toppings, flavorings etc.
Worth going there for some of the freshest cream doughnuts in town!

E.This was my mother's favorite place to go to when she was a child and it has remained to live up to its expectations. The staff were kind and welcoming-aswell as very helpful. There are wonderful and creative bakery options to eat like the cheeseburger pie! (wow I love the cheeseburger pie). I don't like coffee but my mum is a wannabe coffee connoisseur and said the flat white she had was excellent

J.There is a good range of delicious food. Sadly there seems to be not a lot of gluten free options. However my husband had a delicious pie. There is plenty of tables to achieve the social distancing required to prevent covid 19. You can sit inside or in a more outdoor area which has more light and I like being out there. Teas and coffees are excellent and tea is supplied in a cute little tea pot and milk comes in a small container like the old milk cans. I like it when I can top up my tea and keep it hot. Rosebowl also has the most amazing selection of cake decorating bits and pieces I've seen in the Manawatu. It's my go to place for figurines or cutters or anything at all to decorate a cake.
G.Very, very busy today (Friday) but they have a great system in place so we got our coffees quite quickly. Coffee was great considering the Barista was flat out, so consistency was excellent. Nice variety of food and beverages but a little pricey. The only downside was finding a table, but as I said it was busy. Friendly staff and overall good service.

B.For a Cafe it's pretty good. Lots of choice and options and the food/coffee is good. Standard Cafe prices and nice indoor+outdoor seating. Only critique is that if it's your first time going the layout is pretty confusing.

J.Average standard of sandwiches and fried products that overall seemed a little lackluster! The packaged biscuits and cake looked more attractive. All items are purchased from a central area so be prepared for a wait for service.
K.Good service. The food is excellent, deliciously fresh, with a huge selection. Orders for cooked meals, and superb precooked selection in the cabinets. Another feature of the Rosebowl is the amazing selection of cake making and decorating utensils and decorations on sale. Or you can buy ready made cakes if you prefer.

P.The building is better, the food is not. I hate to say it but I've had better pies from my local Four Square, my partner was also disappointed by his wrap. It's not bad food, it's just okay...if you're really hungry. I will say I'm sad to give this review, I've been familiar with The Rosebowl for many years and the food used to be better.

T.Ok experience although table and chairs area very cramped. Hard to sit a large group plus a high chair. Food was alright but the requests I made to put a couple of children's meals in the chiller for 5 minutes fell on deaf ears.... the Nachos were average at best, totally bland mince, some flavour in there would have elevated the dish a lot. Many of the staff could have done with a happy pill or two, seemed like they didn't want to be there, stony faces, no smiles on the two we had......
A.Located on Kimbolton Rd, has a huge range of bakery goods to buy, plus a huge selection of baking utensils, equipment, decorations, etc... Also has in-store seating for dining in
J.Very nice. This place has a fantastic selection... Both of the usual tasty bakery items to menu food such as pancakes and a big breakfast. Plenty of seating both in and outdoors... And for those who love to bake they have a pretty good selection of bakeware to buy also... The only down side is that I do feel it's a little pricey considering it's a bakery.

Q.Wow...probably one of the best cafes weve been to, its big, wide open, super clean and definitely the best service. They have a huge variety of savoury pies and bakings, the roast lamb pie was very tasty as the peppersteak. Home made taste describes it best! Prices are reasonable and taste amazing. We even went back for takeaway plain cream doghnuts. Their coffees are good too! Highly reccomend a try

T.I was after both a pie and a cheeseburger on this day. I found here, a “cheeseburger pie”. I was expecting a cheeseburger flavoured pie - I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with patties, cheese and pickles in my pie!

H.I tryed the Roast lamb pie. Inside the pie was, a few tables spoons of mash potato with thick gravy, and peas and carrot, with the lamb meat underneath all of that. It was amazing, I'm normally can't find a pie I would achalley eat again, but this one is amazing and the flavour is really nice and the gravy don't have a huge and strong to rich taste it was just right. I really enjoyed the Roast lamb pie, I definitely recomened this pie 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😀😀 I have also tryed the steak and mushroom pie, this is the best steak pie I have ever eaten, it was nicely seasoned, the steak tasted real and meaty and it didn't taste like rubbish like processed meat. Also the pastry was the best pastry I have ever eaten it is amazing. I only found one chewy little bit of meat, bu that was alright as the rest of the meat was tender. I could taste the mushroom but it had stewed up and there were no chunks, but over all I give the pie a 9/10. #best steak pie I have ever eaten!!!! I also tryed the plain, long donut, wow this was amazing, is is the best donut I have ever eaten. It has a soft doughy inside and a little fried bite on the out side, so delicious!!! I also ❤️ the layout !! It's great, also there are ,many super cool cake decorating supplies!!! Over all this is a 10/10 cafe and bakery, they have the best pies !! 11.9.18, today I went to dine in at rose bowl, I had the Rosebowl burger, it was amazing, and the chips that came with it was great. I also has the mango smoothie, it was amazing. The food was really good value for money. I loved it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

D.Been here twice now. Service is good, food is good. No frills eating in a very pleasant setting. The saying " what you see, is what you get" comes to mind with this place.
T.The birthday cakes here are excellent as well as their range of party supplies, cake toppers, decorations, themed plates and cups etc, balloons, helium balloons (they inflate them on site for a fee too). The bakery food is good and the undercover outdoor seating area is large.
