A very well run business. Friendly staff shop floor clean and well stocked. New open car park lots of room. Park bench out front to eat on. Thank you for keeping it fresh even through lockdowns excellent job team

Coupland bakery sells one of the best iced Christmas cakes we've eaten, in that price range. It's true to the add has cherries lots of moist fruit and 2icings one is almond. Don't be fooled by cheap cakes that dissapoint. Well worth the trip out. Disabled parking good access careful covid management helpful staff. Prices reflect the product. Other options Cafe cabinet for lunch purchases. Also their cheese rolls are good buying full of flavor and quality filling. Worth a trip out there.😊

Went to Te Rapa shop today . Among other products I bought was some milk which I accidentally dropped outside the shop. The lady at the lotto counter there and the young man there saw what happened. After I threw it in the rubbish bin outside I raced in to replace it. The young man had already grabbed a replacement for me and after I said I'd pay for it I was told no its okay. Great service and lovely staff

Always yummy food. Pleasant staff!! Outside picnic tables for when the weather's fine👍🏼😀 and bins to dispose of rubbish near them. Beautifully kept gardens and lawn. Always able to find a car park too. Be careful when driving around there tho, especially near the supermarket/rear of kmart. ... dangerous corners and impatient drivers - please drive at a cautionary pace..especially when exiting the bakery and turning right!! Can easily see a car accident happening here, due to cars parked roadside obscuring your view!!

This is a great bakery where you're going to find pretty much any baked good you can imagine from regular breat to donuts to pies. The store does some brisk business, parking can be a challenge on Staturdays. The bread is always fresh and consistent and you can find items that you can't quite depend on in the grocery store like rolls for hot dogs and sandwich rolls. The frozen pie selection is pretty huge and you can always find the seasonal things like hot cross buns and christmas cookies. It's a good place to make your staple for your bread shopping.

With a wide variety of baked goods, Couplands is the go to shop for low cost bread staples, premium breads, kiwi favorite biscuits, pies, cakes, buns and milk. There is one common theme across all their offerings: value. Staff are good, and usually helpful. Good parking. No style impact, what with the efficient box layout that is a betrayal of their earlier southern outlets of their, and my, youth. And the selection has dropped: lamingtons and apple strudels are lamentingly missing. Overall, Couplands provides good value baked goods at fair prices.

Had the hot cross buns for the first time, bought them at the dairy as I could not be bothered wating 2 hours to get into the supermarket during lockdown, Anyway, hands down the best hot cross buns from any bakery, better than bakers delight, lots of fruit, lots of spice I might just have to buy another packet as they are so good. the only way you will get better is to make them yourself. (I tried to find an address to send an email message for Hamilton customer service, but no luck on the website.) I have been buying the fantastic Coupland's products for many years but what's happened to the date scones? What used to be really good light scones that were scone-shaped are now doughy, heavy slabs - four squares of dough joined together. What a disappointment!

Excellent hot cross buns around Easter time, wish they were available all thru the year. If you dont live handy to a Couplands bakery you can buy their hot cross buns at 4 square stores around the Waikato. Living in Matamata the nearest Four square shop is at Te Aroha and Cambridge but found the Red Berry fruit and vegetable shop stocks items from Couplands.

Gull Otahuhu, Great South Rd sell Coupland pies. Try them. We enjoy them better than Big Ben pies. They have more meat in it and the pastry is really nice.
