We couldn't find much cafes/bakeries that were open on waitangi weekend and didn't help we were from auckland but the ladies were very lovely, I ordered the two chicken and chips, two pieces of fish and a egg sandwich. Everything was very nice.

Plenty of seating was available at 9 0clock in the morning, catered well for a group of 7 variety of choices of food and beverages pricing was reasonable as per bakery prices. Service was awesome great place for a quick snack or rump steak meal for 15 dollars.

This is usually our go-to for quick quality bakery food, however our last purchase 2 weeks ago left me confused as I saw an old Asian female worker whom looked like she was tired and about to fall over re-fill what I assumed to be freshly baked food for the day, anyway - I asked if they still had fresh fish-pie, the lady serving me then went back to their deep-freeze to check to see if she had any which luckily for me it was a 'no' as I wasn't expecting to pay for a quick-nuke-up pie! hell even the other pies I purchased were all-stale! AND I had to pay full-price for this! REALLY! this is not usually their style, this has kinda put me/us off for now, but id suggest to ask first of how fresh the food is before buying! bit of a let down otherwise customer service is pleasant.

A popular and busy bakehouse on the corner of Lake Rd and Commerce Street in the heart of Frankton, Hamilton. There is plenty of seating, with single seating up against the window (which in my opinion gives you the best seat in the house, looking out onto Commerce Street). This bakehouse offers a huge range of foods from a club sandwich to a sirloin steak meal with salad and wedges, and the pricing is reasonable. There are also a huge selection of hot and cold drinks. The staff are friendly and remember your name and order when you go back.
