All the different varieties of pies under one roof. We stopped by to have pies and we all had different ones and had a bit of each other’s, they were delicious. Even the vegetarian options were nice. Well worth a stop while in Hamner Springs.

The sausage roll is one of the best in New Zealand (Top 10 in 2020). The venison pie, steak and cheese, steak and mushroom all tasted yummy. The pastry was perfect and yummy fillings. You can grab and go or eat the pie on available table onsite.

$10 pie and drink deal is good value. Good range of pies including vegetarian. Friendly staff. Picnic tables seating and lovely setting amongst trees. Make sure to come by when they are open, they were closing at 3pm on day I visited

You can get great pies. Friendly service. $5-$6 pies with a range of flavours. They also do hamburgers.

Most delicious pies and such warm welcoming customer service. Would highly recommend!!

Super tidy shop. Service was supreme. Pies looked great. Had a pork and apple pipe it was perfect; pastry, taste and texture. Coffee was great and had a lovely hokey pokey biscuit. 10/10

Definetly the best vegan and veggie pies i found after travel all around New zealand ! Very tasty, and nice to have something different than the other shop ! Like the jackfruit's pies are sooo delicious ! Thank you !

Pies were to die for, had the butter chicken and pork belly and apple, pastrie is flaky and filling is delicious. Owner very happy and cheerful, nice to see someone so happy and the best pies in Canterbury

Best pies in the area hands down. Getting a fresh hot pie is always a great lunch and these do not disappoint. The price is fair $5-6ea and service here is amazing too. Great flakey pastry lid, delicious filling. We got steak and cheese which was fun of beef and great cheese. Also a salmon and bacon which is a great combination with a large chunk of salmon inside. Along with a pork and apple which we felt was better than the Fairlie bakery version. Not to rag on Fairlie which are good, but just these are great! The filling is just better.

Lovely Service. Coffee was good and the Butter Chicken Pie and Sausage Roll were very nice, especially the pastry. THANKS.

Absolutely cracking lamb shank and kumara pie! Coming from a former chef, this was expertly balanced and tasted amazing. Was especially impressed with the reasonable prices as well. Around $6 for high quality pies is pretty great these days, I’ve paid $8-9 for similar quality before! All in all a great experience!

Delicious pies, our sausage rolls was very tasty but a bit under cooked.

Something we don’t eat a lot of, but when we do we definitely value a pie when we have one. This place was a quick stop and eat for us before hitting the hot springs. Hanmer’s got the best pies!!!
