Hungry, and with lots of cafes and eateries already closed, we opted for a quick bite here, not sure what to expect as it is very basic with worn floors and cabinets. But what a delightful surprise. The steak and cheese pie & steak and mushroom pie were delicious with chunks of juicy meat and goey sauce. The strawberry milkshakes a creamy delight. Don't expect anything fancy here but there is a good range of asian stir fries and if the quality of the pies and milkshakes are anything to go by, the food is tasty and well made.

The store was pretty empty when I went in, but it was also kinda late so I guess that makes sense. I ordered an Iced Vanilla and it wasn't as good as I thought it would be, considering the price. It seemed like a thick shake, but being sold for a higher price because of the cream.

My friend had entered a state of shock as he entered the legendary bakehouse cafe, he was completely overwhelmed by all of the menu choices and began to panic. Would highly recommend and will be returning shortly.

My sister and I had lunch there. beef blackbean stirfry and sweet and sour pork,. Portions were large, however it seemed neither meats had been marinated as they both were tough and my sister suspected microwave heated and it wasn't helped by her finding a sliver from a steel wool scourer in her meal. Mystified by the non-reaction of staff, no apology and what seemed to be eye contact avoidance by kitchen staff despite the fact that we were there a good 20 minutes after making the complaint

Nice fried food good fish. However the rest room could do with a pull up to modern standards (if toilet not up to standard what else is in the same condition) a good judge of overall attitude to heather food

The locals always come here for meetups, its about the coffee and food for me so coffee wise and foodwise it's a 3 for me. In summer it is hot and doesn't have suitable aircon. In saying this i guess it would be a great breakfast place as it is cool in the mornings.

Awesome Kai, such a huge range on their menu, from seafood dishes, to rice and chowmeins. Had my fave of course. Pork loin chops with garlic butter delish salad and chips. Great price 🥰

I didn't expect such a great meal.. This place would put some high end restaurants to shame. The guy knows how to cook.. And cheap too 20 bucks for a massive piece of scotch fillet 2 eggs mushrooms garlic butter chips nice creamy sauce on the mushies. We would eat there every week if we lived in kaitaia. Oh and fast service. If your in kaitaia do yourself a favour... Go there.

Oh my gosh .... best coffee ever !!!! Batistas in Auckland could learn a thing or two. Lovely selection of food and very helpful and friendly staff. A place definitely worth stopping for if you're passing through Kaitaia. 😊

Coffee and food were ok but place could have a reno Toilet room was discussing full rubbish bin No toilet paper no lock on the door writing over the walls Very dirty. Would look for an alternative food establishment next time Sorry just telling it as it is.
