A genuine bakery and tea rooms, absolute gold. Lots of great looking pies, filled rolls and cakes and they do a great cup of tea - didn’t try their coffee but I’m sure it’s equally fine. Friendly staff and great value. If I could give this a sixth star I would - open until 5.45pm which was great as we needed a late stop on our road trip to Dunedin. No putting up the closed sign at 2.30pm which is my pet annoyance. Highly recommend.

By far my most favorite old school tearoom type shop, full of everything you'd expect in a tip notch tearooms. Large variety of sandwiches, fancy and plain (like egg or ham triangle sandwiches) and cakes and biscuits galore. Their hot food cabinet is to dye for with all it's tasty pastry treats. Hot chips, fish and sausages. Coffee, teas and cold drinks available with an ice cream store next door. Prices are reasonable. Service is excellent 👌😁

Stopped as we were passing through and grabbed a coffee and a pie. Great value for money. The mutton pie was really good with plenty of meat. The coffee was good too. Service was quick and friendly. It was hard not to grab a sweet treat as well but the waistline doesn't do so well these days with too much of the good stuff. Great place to stop in. Will try another next time we pass through!

Not just a bakery but an experience! Most friendly staff and owners even 82 yr old dad helping out .all baked goods are amazing ,mutton pies are wow .try their wares ,go there ,don't pass by ,you'll miss out ,garlic bread is even tops. Puts Palmerston on the map

I'm really liking New Zealand pies. I had my 3rd one here a chicken and corn and it was a ripper. Loved every bit of it and may have to move to NZ just so I can continue eating their pies. Great service too and place was clean and tidy. Definate recommendation.

Not much in the cabinets. Nothing for gluten free or dairy free people which is what I was wanting. Settled in an afghan bukkie which was nice. Staff member that served us wasn't friendly or welcoming. She was leaning on counter like she wished she wasn't there.
