P.We outta towners and found this place on Google and it definitely is worth the drive to it!
Gorgeous looking cafe/bakery with the best pies I have tasted bloody yum chicken ratio to the filling sooo dam good.
Ordered the Chicken Roast Pie, Bacon & Egg Pie also Spinach & Feta Roll then we discovered the sweet cabinet and ohhhhh helloo cream donut along with an apple Square slice yummmooo!
Worth the drive from Nelson, was that good we drove back the day we left and ordered some to take back up to Auckland.
10/10 for food, service and bakery itself as it has fantastic indoor/outdoor area.
R.Delicious food!! Hubby and I had a pie each, which were really good. Enjoyed sitting in the cafe reading the cool little signs and sayings. If we were locals this would be one of my go to places
G.The food is amazing. From the chocolate brownie, the hazelnut or berry tart, their rolls and donuts plus the pies, the flavours are superb and there is coffee to match. Great food, great place to eat.
L.I’ve come to eat here for a few years. The products are good, but staff attitude is always underwhelming. 30 minutes away from their closing time, on a long-weekend Sunday, they “could not” provide plates to eat a strawberry tart. The focus is always - for 4 years in a row - ob tidying things up for closing. Customer care is second placed. With so many businesses struggling through COVID times, I wonder when they’ll learn to keep customer satisfaction in the forefront. Don’t think I’ll be coming back again…
M.We always come here when we were down from wellington. Highlights are the custard slice, the bread (any of it), pies and the kids love the Mr freckles. The dine in menu is also amazing!
P.Best assortment of bake goods - if you can’t find something you like you are just not trying - even a good selection of gluten free!
Obviously I’ve not tried everything but what I have were very good!
The coffee is good and a nice place to start the day before heading off on the great taste trail
B.This place had everything going for it. It was really busy but staff friendly, food Devine, I had falafel wrap & the best Neenish Tart I've ever had. 11/10 for the food. The cream donuts pretty good too. I would recommend to everyone. You won't be disappointed.

L.Wonderful service, wonderful food. Can't believe the abuse coming from unvaccinated people. Cut the business owners a bit of slack ....Covid isn't their fault ... Get over it and get with the majority of Kiwis and get vaccinated and then you don't have a problem. .... Life is quite normal if you conform. Don't blame the business owners.

N.Lovely homely bakery with a wide selection of fresh cakes, bread and savoury snacks. We had a toasted salmon bagel for breakfast with a coffee, very nice it was and with good service to boot 👍

R.This place was exceptional, the huge range of cakes, breads, pies, hot cross buns, and general menu is tops and outstanding. The coffee is great, the staff obviously love working here as they are happy, friendly and helpful, a credit to this great bakery, cafe and eatery, very pleased we drove of the main road to return here for our morning coffees, cakes and the lunch which we took with to eat later in the day whilst we were walking in the bush. Definitely a destination for coffee or lunch from Nelson and surrounding areas, the wharf just down the road is also a must visit whilst in the area. Can even do coffee and eats first then shop at the wharf then return here for lunch or brunch.

C.This place has delicious food, great Chai lattes and you can sit outside with your dog, free water for them 😊 wide range of gluten free products, breads and other bakery goodies. Definitely recommend it.

K.It's a lovely spot to stop for a coffee and something to eat. You could spend a whole admiring the cool things on the wall or just watch the locals wandering in. Really warm friendly place and the pie I bought was full of meat!!
C.Best bakery in Mapua. The pies are delicious. We tried the beef bacon and cheese and the beef and beer. Both were awesome and you could taste the beer and bacon in the pies. Friendly and good choice. BTW... Its the only bakery in Mapua.

The father in law had a pepper pie which he declared to be the best he'd ever had. High praise especially as it was his 4th pie on the trip so he had some good contenders.

I.Cute bakery in the heart of mapua. Freshly baked variety of delicious breads from sourdough to tiger. Assortment of cakes and pastries as well as whole cakes and roulades for sale. Sit down for a delicious flat white with a frangipani tart. Outside and inside seating available. Very quaint and cosy. Pricing for tarts and cakes a little pricey but worth the experience of a lazy morning reading the newspaper and enjoying the ambience of this delightful, friendly bakery.
