Visited the Kaiwaka branch on a friend’s recommendation, safe to say we are no longer speaking. For some reason we have ended up at the gas station branch a few months later and purchased a cinnamon donut and two coffees. Delicious coffees and donut. Best truck stop Italian bakery I’ve ever been to.

The butter chicken pie was basically just butter chicken flavoured mush with a few chicken meat fibres and the muffin was stale. Not as good as it used to be.

We discovered La Nonna Italian Bakery during a road trip from Auckland to the Bay of Islands, and it was such a delightful find. The first time we stopped, we enjoyed a delicious latte and an almond pastry that was simply the best. Later, on our journey from the Bay of Islands to Rotorua, we couldn't resist making another pit stop. This time, we indulged in a latte, a cinnamon donut, and an apple turnover. While everything was good, the almond pastry stood out as the absolute highlight. I highly recommend taking a break at La Nonna Italian Bakery to savor their delectable treats. The service is excellent, and it's clearly a popular spot. Don't miss the chance to give it a try – you won't be disappointed!

This place is always busy , a perfect stop for us to grab and go . Food is good , staff are amazing and we love it . My favourite almond croissant, a cheese cream muffin and a brownie.They do make a amazing coffee to :)

Pies are very good quality. Dounut looked amazing BUT definitely was not cooked that morning! I would guess at least a day old as it was stale to bite and the oil had hardened in the dough... tasted rancid .

Best ever lamb buns, delicous tender meat , light and tasty buns fresh as salad veges and perfect amount of mayonaise. Very hard to go past without purchasing one. Well worth the price and filling. Equal best are the chocolate croissants, the chocolate is perfectly lip smacking and pastry just divine.

I rate this place a four had a lamb sandwich was nice and fresh the only thing i could suggest is more sauces and more mayo as the sandwich was very dry apart from that was fresh . Kids all had pies they said were the best pies they have ever had . I aldo had a cream donut that was very yum fresh thanks team for your hard work

Best cream donuts I've had so far but yet there are still other Bakeries that I have to sample to decide whom will receive a 5 star rating. I will in text format give your business a 4.5 on paper but with the star system you can all have a 4 star rating 😉.

I don't think they compete in pie contests, just as well for what would be their opponents. Simply the best in the land, great coffee as well. When I go north for work I skip breakfast and just wait til I get there, I'm never disappointed.

Murray makes the best👌scones in Waipu😉&coffee to match. Breakfast buns are good👍as attested by my partner every other day. Lots to choose from go 😉 all delights they offer. Vegan,normal etc extra great service to boot, let your senses take you to foodie land😇.

Premises was very clean but the quality of food was not the best, i.e. the sausage rolls were dry and the cheese pizza bun had been heated (at my request) which made it chewy! I don't think I will return there to buy food again.

The young lady at the counter was extremely professional and very lovely. That was my first time visiting this bakery and I definitely will be returning because of the amazing customer service not to mention the food my sandwich was so delicious and room temperature like how all sandy should be!!!
