Some just get it right. These guys do! Lamb bun/roll. Nice coffee. Good selection of buns/rolls with filling. Should call themselves the good baker. Normally we'll staffed even if busy

Truely the best bakery food I have had the pleasure to eat. The service here also left nothing to be desired. We always make sure we stop for some delicious fresh food on our way through.

Honestly their birthday cakes absolutely delicious!! I’ve bought two cakes from them and they’ve been so helpful with the design and they were only $50!!! I’ve moved recently but if I still lived in Te Awamutu/Kihikihi. This bakery would be the only place I’d get my cakes from!

A busy little Gem. Food was fresh at 12.30pm. The 3 ladies behind the counter were polite as they were rushed off their feet. I do highly recommend the food and the hot chocolate.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The guy who served us was enthusiastic and knowledge, and happy to make recommendations. The food was good too. Generous serving sizes and quality ingredients. We sat outside and I think this was the worst part about it, the outdoor seating is close to the road. Overall it's worth stopping at, especially if you can find a park.

Pies where really yummy. I can't rate the service because there was none. Staff where super rude and me feel uncomfortable. Wont be going back here in a hurry.

Absolutely amazing place. I parked my trailer outside the shop and went into town with my truck. When I came back to get my trailer I decided to go in to purchase some items of interest and to thank the staff for letting me park my trailer there and was greeted with excellent service, very helpful young Maori ladies. Thanks so much really enjoyed the rewana 🍞 🥪

A great bakery. Have eaten pies and donuts - all good but the real gem is the filled rolls. Roast beef with onion relish or roast pork with apple. Delicious!

I really enjoyed my fruit tart and delicious chicken salad sandwich. I had my niece with me and she got a mince and cheese pie and a ginger bread man. She enjoyed her lunch as much as I did. They have a good selection to choose from both sweet and savoury. Prices are reasonable, a good little bakery to call into no matter which direction your coming from.

It's been a while since I frequented Kihikihi, have to say it's still a top notch bakery with service to match, and loads of temptation with pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches, the cronutsare a must, Nutella yummy... thought I'd try the seafood pie, good commis chunks of prawn,crab meat, unfortunately I'm not a fan of thousand island sauce taste... sorry.... otherwise I'll allways be back next time I'm passing through

Any bakery with a que out the door is worth a look and this does not disappoint at all. Fresh baked deliciousness that will have all pie lovers coming back for more.

The best bakery on root from Hamilton to Taumarunui! 8.20am and their pastry seafood baskets are all gone🙄 and there are 4 big guys prepared to wait 4minutes longer to buy the next lot that are come out!! Greedy😂 There table outside the shop was already covered with their popular bread and donuts!! And pies!! Shhhhhs! What about us other customers!!😂👏👏👏👏👏

This has got to be one of nicest bakeries, the pies are yummy, tasty fillings and good pastry. I would definitely visit Viands again!

What an amazing bakery with such a great variety of yummy food. Stopped in because we were peckish on a road trip through the area, had never been before, now I can't wait to go back! If I had known how much we would enjoy their food I would have brought extras as we got down the road and found ourselves wishing we'd brought more. Can't wait to go back through this town, will definitely be stopping in here again for sure!

This is probably the best bakery in our district for taste. It's a bit more expensive than your usual bakehouse etc but way tastier! Yum pies with some added flavours to choose from, pork belly, steak and kumara, lamb and mint etc. Tasty rolls and beautiful sweets.

The best filled rolls, sweet buns, slices, cakes, breads and muffins etc... good selection of flavoured pies but not the best pies ever. Awesome coffee!! Cheerful friendly staff. Prices are up there so be prepared if you stop with the family

Outstanding bakery with so many little tempters for your taste buds. Everything made in the shop, the pies and sausage rolls are deliciously superb and the ladies make a wonderful coffee..service is impeccable... based at the south end of Kihikihi on the way out to Otorohonga.....highly recommend stopping in if your feeling peckish

This place is forever tapped out with people buying from there which isn't a surprise as it's a pretty delicious bakery. Lamb and mint pie... out the fricken gate! That's just my opinion to that though, you be the judge

I have been visiting Viands Bakery for a number of years. Probably at least twice a year. I like their pies very much. I buy a pie and coffee sit outside the shop at one of their tables and watch the world go by. The cabinet food is always well displayed. The choice is wide. The staff are always polite and obliging. 7

Excellent bakers. Great sausage rolls, pies and filled rolls plus some very tempting sweet treats. Not for those on a diet as you won't be able to resist the temptations.

Great place, great food. Just sad they don't make Bearings anymore! :( Lots of pple ask about those.

No sane person can drive past this place without stopping for some freshly baked treats! It's all excellent. The award winning pies are a must. There's a vegetarian pie option as well.

Best place to buy rewana bread.

Genuinely one of the best bakeries I've been to. Had a steak and cheese pie and a caramello cronut and both were very good. It was clear that the pie had caused some cheese to be harmed, and the cronut was just divine. Would recommend if you are passing through :-)

Freshly baked Rewana bread and very good price for the size (sliced on request). Excellent pies great variety traditional and new. The cake and donut range are to die for. Beautiful freshly made sandwiches filled rolls etc Hot drinks to go. Ask about birthday/wedding cakes made to order Dont drive past!!

Stopped by on the way to Waitomo glow worm caves as my mum needed to use the WC. Really nice young man, 20s curly dark brown hair, helped my mum who has a bit of difficulty walking to and back and we hadn't even bought anything!!!! Then we decided to buy some snacks and a tea for my mum. The pies/cakes were amazing ( I am a baker by trade, so believe me they are good ).......BUT the big Maori girl who took my order was so rude, I nearly walked out but for the friendly young man who saw what was happening and intervened and took over. He apologised for her behaviour and sent us away happy. I run a business and if someone spoke to a customer like that where I work, they would have to find another job!

One of the most delicious pies I've had. These guys have won a stack of awards for their pies, and while I didn't have one of the award winning flavours, my Oxtail and Shin pie was rich and tasty. Definitely one of NZ's hidden treasures!

I travel all around NZ and I love pies. NZ pies are generally really good but it is hard to beat these pies both in fillings and pastry. What is more impressive are their cakes!

These are hands down the best pies I've ever had. You owe it to yourself to go here if you're passing through, a great variety of types and flavours, savoury and sweet, and all of them delicious!

Without doubt New Zealand's best bakery. I was gobsmacked at the food and the coffee was fantastic. I had a boil up pie and a donut filled with chocolate mousse and went back for second coffee it was that good.

Soooo yummy. Loved the fresh meat and salad buns.

It was cool but we went about four years ago and it had been more open and WAY more animals but this time it was all about the playground even a bike track and bikes so I think its really gone down hill.

One of the The best pies we had in New Zealand. We had steak & cheese and butter chicken. The credit machines were not working when we went, luckily we had some cash.

Went there looking for a boil up pie but they don't do them any more, the steak bacon & cheese was a nice substitute though and the full cream donut hit the spot! Thanx

Amazing food. Only minor point is that they changed the yummy long doughnut recipe. Was much nicer with chris' original recipe with the sultanas in it.

Wow the nicest best made Chai I have had and to top it off a really unique venison roll made from local meat. A hidden gem!

Definitely worth a stop and the highlight of KihiKihi. They make sumptuous pies with generous fillings. They are pricey but great for a treat and never dissapointing. I prefer the KihiKihi branch to the Te Awamutu one but they are both good.

Beautiful no wonder there Winners, they even had a Scallop and Prawn pie, but I chose the Mince pie perfect thanks, service excellent.
