Reviews of The Bun Factory

This place is a little treasure. Their hot chips are the best - I have no idea what the actual flavor of the salt they use is, but it is so delicious and I've never found it anywhere else. Their mince and mince and cheese pies are delicious - full of actual meat that isn't just gravy pretending to be meat, and it's not gritty like it can often be in pies from other places. Custard squares are divine, cheesecake slice is a little piece of heaven, and the cream donuts are amazing. There's too many tasty things to list here! 😋

Delicious cakes and buns. Plenty of choice and fantastic prices. Great service too.

Great pies and savouries plus excellent service

I've been coming here 2 years. The food is fresh, tasty & average prices. The manager took a bit of warming. She is nice to me, smiles and is helpful with packing. There's some not nice comments about her, I would assume it's because a lot of people are curt or unfriendly in general to staff behind counters. I found her neutral initially. There is always a queue, that has to be a good sign, right?!

Great food. we were feeding all the people involved with NZCB Apprentices Challenge. There was plenty of good Tradesmen tucker.

Good food, reasonably priced..

Great lunch bar, excellent range of sandwiches, rolls, pies and sweet things. Also good selection if fried food. Friendly staff.

Chips the best around.smiles are genuine, prices are reasonable I don't go anywhere else for my smoko, and the early morning opening suits me

Excellent pies. The steak, mushroom and cheese is my favourite. The pies don't fall apart and yet have a lovely flaky top. They have large steak chunks. The fried chicken is average. The lamingtons are enormous.

Was sent here by a co-worker a number of years ago for 'the best sausage rolls in Upper Hutt'. Yes they are good, but I am in love with the steak and kumara pie. Always very busy, but fast efficient friendly service always.

Great food good price

Bakery with huge choice of bread rolls, sandwiches, pies, chips, fried chicken & a cabinet full of cakes & slices. Bread also baked on premises. Prices are really good. Been a favorite for a very long time.

Haha great place to get yer coffee and pastry in the morning, wish we had a bakery like this back home! Staff always chipper and helpful, even when I need more caffeine than is humanly possible to fit in a large cappuccino 😱 Yup, five stars well earned!

The best pies, sausage rolls and their cream raspberry buns are to die for. The queue is always out the door. Best bakery around. It won't disappoint.
