Seriously good pastry!! The almond croissant is to die for, i ended up takeaway 4 of them 🙈 not very proud of my diet but worth it! Everything looks so delicious! Wish I can try them all. They also open earlier than other cafe. Makes a perfect place to grab a quick coffee before out trip to cardrona

How do you choose among all the delicious options. From pues to sandwiches and doughnuts to sweet treats, they all look so delightful. Love the outdoor and bar style seating. Today I went for the lemon meringue pie and was not disappointed.

The best breakfast in WANAKA! Full marks on the vibe, the seating arrangement outside and the food. A good way to start the day with a hot chai latte, a sausage roll, a custard pie and the lil strawberry tart that was "mind-blowing"! Will visit again to try out the rest from the menu because everything looked so tempting :) good show!

Very busy Cafe, hard to find a seat. The variety of bread and sweet looks yum!! I wish I can try everything.

Absolutely loved this place! All of us found it to be delicious. It was worth the wee trip out of Wanaka and I would happily go back there again on my next trip south. The coffee was beautiful as was the pastry. Thank you for wonderful service at an epic location. This place was full of life and customers.

Our favourite bakery in the region ❣️🥐🍰 We are locals and always see coming here as a real treat! Even though the patisserie get's super busy at times, the staff is always smiling and friendly. All the food is absolutely delicious and made with love, the small cakes and treats not only look like art but taste very similar to what you get in France. For me as a European in Wanaka, coming here reminds me of home. Thanks guys for your great service.

Amazing pastries! We were honeymooning at Kanuka Cabin and was advised to visit this place. We tried the beef pasty, Mexican mince pie, ham and cheese croissant and cheeseburger pie over the course of 2 days. The pastry was flaky, buttery and absolutely delectable! Best pastries I've had in NZ!

We stopped over here on recommendations from our mates. The place was really busy with lots of customers coming and going. We ordered 2 almond croissants, a pot of tea and a flat white. The coffee was OK but the tea was really nice and strong. The almond croissant had a hard crust to it but the inside was softer. It was quite tasty.

We read the review in the local QT lifestyle magazine and decided to check it out. Had a lovely coffee and Danish here before leaving Wanaka. Sooooo.... delicious. Coffees were perfect and danishes really scrumptious. Wholeheartedly recommend you go to this bakery. We will be back next time we are in Wanaka.

This place is actually a patisserie, with great food. Really enjoyed my almond croissant and my latte was excellent. Service friendly and prompt. Parking a little limited but in front of shop, since construction next door. Really worth a visit.

I’m French, so I don’t get easily lured into “popular” places according to foreigners when it comes to patisserie… Well seeing the selection and trying a few items, the owners could only be French too. Turns out they are Australian yet have spent years in France! This is why you can even find Kouign Amann which is a delicious local specialty from Bretagne!

Very busy during NY holidays. Line out the door. Service was very quick, they had the counter worked out to be very efficient. Pastries, pies and filled rolls all top class. Above and beyond your usual big city suburban bakery.

In my 38 years on this planet - this was the BEST mince & cheese pie I've ever had the pleasure of eating ... coffee was a solid 10/10 too - this is hands down one of the best Patisserie's I've been to. Will be returning A++++

Absolutely amazing food and service! If you get a chance this place is definitely worth a visit.

First up, the food: the vanilla slice/custard square is divine. The custard was silky smooth and achieved the epitome firmness. Next, the coffee: my Americano was just right and the flavour of the beans was well rounded. Finally, the staff: just on closing time they came across to let us know they were locking the door but there was no need for us to rush because they still had to clean. Next time I'm down that way, I'm definitely going back - especially if I have my Pembroke Welsh Corgi with me.

Lovely staff and lovely place to get a coffee and which ever delicious pastry you choose. We had the ham and cheese croissant, a quiche and a pain au chocolat which were all delicious. However the coffees were 2/10 and let the place down for standard flat whites. I’m sure it wasn’t the way the were made but maybe the beans.

After a incredibly nice ride on the lake you end up on this beautiful patisserie. We were 6 of us and we all try different things and they were all very good. We didn't resist to some sweet too and probably some of the best I try in NZ

Wonderful food and great place to sit and eat outside. Custard squares are impressive as with all their cabinet food. Definitely worth a trip out for lunch.

Stopped here twice on our short holiday. The pastry is so light and deliciously buttery. I will be longing for, and thinking about that ham and cheese crossiant for some time to come!

The cakes and pastries were incredible, there is space to sit outside or in. You may have to wait a little as it can be busy but it is worth it.

Super friendly staff serving delicious cakes and treats. They also have a good selection of tasty hot food including a different specialty pie flavour! Obviously they do great coffee too. Everything is yummy so I suggest you get a few things!

Great place. Sourdough loaves are amazing. Pastries are awesome. Coffee is good. My only complaint is that it's so busy, but rightfully so.

Food was absolutely divine! Only down side was trouble finding somewhere to park, then having to wait for a table to sit at to eat. Definitely a place to put on your "must stop-in" list when near by - YUM!

Excellent bakery

Exceptional! Great allpress coffee, bring your own cup or buy a stainless steel reusable one with a deposit there. Yummy bread and almond croissants. Always busy but the que doesn’t take too long.

Lovely campground with fantastic views and friendly staff

If you love bread then this is the place to be! The desserts are also fantastic. We deliberately stayed in Wanaka (having stopped in the previous day and were too late back on our trip that day) just so we could buy more bread the following day!

We came here during our stay at Wanaka for the croissant and quiche and boy it didn’t disappoint! Definitely worth a quick drive here for breakfast to grab your coffee and lovely pastries! There’s plenty of indoor seating including outdoor benches as well for larger groups! Excellent service! Highly recommended!

The most superb patisserie I have been to.

I have always had such a great experience at Pembroke Patisserie. Their staff is always very friendly and helpful and they make the BEST bacon quiche in the entire world!! I love quiche and I just cant get enough of theirs; and never feel any guilt in indulging because it always tastes like it was made with real, whole ingredients and love! Thank you Pembroke

Perhaps actually the best pan au raisin I have ever eaten. To have such a queue in a small town is also evidence of the deliciousness. Do not miss this one.

Our lunch break at Pembroke was very nice. The team was welcoming and smiling. Even if the bakery was very busy, they took time for recommandations (Thank's Mel)... The croissant cheese and ham was delicious and the betroot salad as well, good surprise )).

Great pastries and cakes. Some of the best we've found in New Zealand so far. But why not 5 stars? 1) Dulce de leche seems incomplete to me. It's not the full sweetness. My boyfriend prefers it this way, but I want the original. 2) Quite rare to find unfriendly staff and this is one of the few places.

I bring folks into Wanaka from all over the place through Queenstown Airport. TWO separate clients who live in both New Zealand AND France commented that Pembroke Patisserie is BETTER than anything they've had in France! High praise from French/Kiwis!! Unbelievably good, straight from the ovens. Will blow your taste buds away!!

This is a seriously nice place. Last year my family went on holidays to New Zealand, and we were staying in Wanaka. On two of the ten days we were there we went on a really beautiful bike ride from Wanaka Lakefront to Albert Town, and on both days, after having ridden the lengthy way, it was such a great experience to sit down in such a lovely little cafe and enjoy a hot chocolate and a croissant.

Such an unexpected find! Authentic, fresh from the oven French pastries along with some Kiwi favourites in a contemporary cafe with Melbourne style. It's a bit off the beaten track but well worth searching out. We chose the Bacon and Onion Quiche and Almond Croissant. Both were outstanding. On leaving we bought more quiche, a Paris Brest and a Canale to have along the way but we hadn't gone far down the road before there was nothing left. We plan to return and next time will make sure to arrive after the baguette sandwiches have been made. We'll also buy some of the wonderful breads to take home.

If i think of 'bakery' Pembroke is the only store i think about. Outside of the tasty sweets, amazing sandwiches and lovely bread. The lovely french girl at the counter makes a mean coffee and always serves it with a beautiful smile!

Phenomenally good pastries including the best almond croissant I've ever had. As an added bonus, they poured the best decaf coffee I've had in NZ.

Best custard squares ever. Real custard no geletine, real flake pastry and yummy citrus icing to balance the sweetness. Resulting in perfection. Biked back for more next day.

The best custard square I have ever tasted. the light flaky pastry, the lemon flavored topping. I doubt I'll ever taste the likes of it again until I return. Perfection.

On a bicycle ride from Lake Hawea to Wanaka, we stopped in Albert Town to "coffee up". A long black, almond croissant, and spinich feta philo later, we were hooked. The staff was so friendly and the food so amazing, we went out of our way the next day to stop for another brekky treat! My wife and I simultaneously said to each other, "could you imagine living accross the street from that??!! Would love it! Congrats on creating a treasure in paradise. Pembroke Patisserie is an absolute must-see if you are in Wanaka on a Thursday afternoon! They are based at the Weekly Wanaka Farmers Market, and sell delicious French pastries and baked goods. High quality and authentic food.

My boyfriend and I got a bit overexcited at this place and bought a whole selection of goods. We now regret not buying more because everything we tried was so delicious!! Highlights of the highlights would be the tasty beef pasty, pain au chocolat with beautifully flakey pastry and proper chocolate filling, and the moreish, not too sweet florentine. We will be back!

The bakery is the most delicious except the cafe, offering coffee, tea, and soup (only winter, onion soup is really amazing, and the supporting sourdough is also delicious)~ I ordered it for the first time and fell into it for two weeks. I bought the Stick Bun on the return trip, full of caramel sauce and almond slices, and a cup of American... It perfectly offsets the ‘pain’ of Chuanshan~👍 For the second time, I happened to encounter Cinnamon Bun, which I did not buy on the return trip. The cinnamon sugar on the surface is balanced to the extreme 🎈 with the homemade Marmalade fruit jam in the store. The third lightning puff...the cream inside, really, although driving is faster, it’s more satisfying to cross the mountain~ Every time I am surprised, the truth about going to work~ I feel that it will be worth a few laps ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❣️ Provide Vegetarian Sandwich, but go early ~ basically sold out after 12 o'clock (vegetarian friends went with us twice and only drank coffee with bread 🥯) The holiday is over 🔚 I bought the Stick Bun on my return trip. I didn’t intend to hear the customer ask the clerk if there is a Cinnamon Bun on the same day. My lady said that it will be available the next day.
