L.Good variety of sweet and savoury options, and friendly customer service. The food tastes good, but not on the same level as Fergsbakery. Still a good breakfast/ lunch option if short on time and wanting something simple.
e.Vegetarian spinach/ feta roll was dry and tasteless. The vegetarian bun had lettuce, tomato and a small amount of chutney...not worth the money. The donut was delicious, with fresh cream and well made dough.
J.4 savorys and 2 pies in my 36hour stay in Wanaka, fair to say these guys produce some of the best pies I have ever tried. Be warned, very addictive
L.Very satisfying Vegan Pies! I had the vegan curry (mild) and the roasted veg. Both were yummy! Hit the spot on a cold Wanaka morning
A.The Doughbin is iconic, and for many international tourists, the 1st time they've ever had a meat pie. Honestly, the pies are the star here. The sweets and sandwiches are okay, but the pies have a range that will allow anyone to find something they like. They're only 3*-4* pies; often a bit light on filling, but the sheer range of flavors make up for a lot.
Their cheese rolls are awful. Don't get cheese rolls here.
J.Decent pies at around 5 dollars. As someone who has eaten many pies I wouldn't really class them as 'award winning'. Pastry was nice. 50 cent tomato sauce was a bit steep. Good for a cheap snack on the waterfront as most other eateries in the area are pricey.
P.Steak and cheese meat pie was delicious and the Danish was amazing. Just watch out for the begger birds outside the shop or else you'll get swarmed.

I.5/5 for consistency! All winter I’ve been getting and pepper steak pie and a soy latte before work or a board and never have I been disappointed. I definitely need to keep better track of my loyalty cards though.

B.YUM what a great cheap meal! We had the steak and pepper pie and the venison rosemary (bit gamey but hubby liked it). Flaky pastry, thick sauce, what every good pie should have. We love that the prices are fair and not a rip off. The almond croissant was also delicious and crispy and the cheese scone nice too. Wish we were here longer to try more!

O.Amazing pies, they really are worthy of all the awards received! Steak&mushroom, that's my personal favourite. Very helpful and friendly staff too, I would definitely recommend visiting. I have been there several times already and will gladly return. Keep up the great work!

L.Flaky, slightly crispy and fluffy pastry - best pastry I've tasted here in NZ! I had the steak and cheese, and venison, and the fillings are tastier than the others I've had - you can taste the marination of the meat, and the fillings aren't gooey. Wish I had taken a photo before gobbling it up!

R.Absolutely 100% hands down THE BEST coffee I have had in my life. I also got a croissant but that just wasnt very nice 😭 didnt have that buttery taste like croissants do, tasted more of oil.

N.Wanaka is a popular tourist destination, and of course with that comes overpriced food. However this bakery we stopped in for lunch was not. For a fiver, you can get a delicious award winning pie, with many flavours to choose from. The chicken pie was my favourite!
J.I've been in NZ for 4 days in Queenstown and I've been to this place twice now for a pie haha...hands down such good quality pies, and cakes. Not a bad view.of the mountains either, if that's your kind of thing haha

We had bought a famous South island mutton pie else where when we first started our trip, it was YUCK, but I thought I would try again from here, I'm glad I did, it was delicious 😋
