B.A magical birthday cake. Ordered the large (30 cm round) Black Forest Torte, $100, which is approximately 20 large sized pieces. Cake looked amazing - photo is from Arobake website and cake was identical, with personalised chocolate message on top. Although I am not in general a big fan of cakes, particularly chocolate flavoured ones, the first delicious bite of this incredibly smooth and light cake made me go "Wow!". The layers of some kind of fancy melt-in-your-mouth chocolate sponge, whipped cream and stewed cherries have the perfect texture and a flavour which is much more pleasantly delicate and well balanced than I was expecting. I should have known it would be awesome because amongst locals Arobake is famous for putting the aroha into their kai and it shows in the food. Absolutely 100% the best cake I've ever bought, and made our special day that much more special.
J.I called from the South Island to order a selection of baked goods to be delivered same day in Wellington. Nekea went above and beyond to make this birthday gift happen for me. It was a pleasure to deal with them and some of the best customer service I have experienced. Highly recommend! Thanks again for being so awesome!

B.The vegan selection is absolutely amazing. There is a lot more selection now than when Iast visited. We keep getting requests from friends now. Birthday cake selection is phenomenal. Simply have to taste it to believe it.
Service: The new French guy is a bit abrupt and rude! I nearly walked out until Meena stepped in. If you need to order over the phone or in person I recommend speaking to Meena, she is wonderful & incredibly helpful. Thank you Meena🙏🏽
S.The food is wonderful. Our favorites are the spinach and feta quiche, pear and ginger cake, and swiss apple cake. The staff are responsive and helpful and home delivery is very reliable, even in Covid times.
N.Wonderful service and very cooperative team. I placed an order from Pakistan and had it delivered in Auckland the very next day. The customer representative stayed in touch with me via email and ensured to keep the delivery a surprise. Loved the cake and greeting card. Will surely be availing more of their services!

One thing I love about Arobake aside from their lovely food, they have great service. It’s my 2nd time ordering a cake for my partner, and for the 2nd time, he actually love it! He’s quite picky with his all time favorite carrot cake. But OMG. He absolutely LOVE it, and will be visiting the shop soon. Kudos to the owner, and to the staffs especially Ollie who has been a great help since from the start until the delivery day. Will definitely order again. Thank you so much! 💕

B.Arobake's rye and sunflower sourdough is in our opinion the best bread in Wellington, a city spoiled for choice with artisan bakeries. We have tried lots of the enticing goodies on their website... they are, without exception, delicious!... Can specially recommend the Gugelhupf, the plum and hazelnut tart, the ginger and pear cake, the almond sticks, the Zopf. Home deliveries from Arobake are a great service and those delivering are always friendly and cheerful. And the eggs they source are the largest, most golden and tasty I have managed to find anywhere... I could go on and on about this wonderful bakery, their products and lovely people!!!
J.Still amazing after all these years, my only minor complaint was that my avocado hating gf got a cheese and ham 🥐 not realizing the devil's food was ALSO inside. I got leftovers though so I can't complain.
If you like baked goods and you're in the area no reason not to go.
P.Arobake always bake with the special ingredient, 'LOVE'. Their baked goods are exceptional, delicious, affordable and well presented. Furthermore, the staff go above and beyond to ensure you're happy with your order. One of my most favourite bakeries in Wellington.

Ordered two weeks ago. Everything went great except the recipient didn't tell us! I thought it hadn't arrived and the staff twisted themselves into pretzels to get a lemon meringue pie delivered. The recipient ended up with 2 delicious pies. Excellent service.

We live in the UK and I wanted to have some cakes delivered to our son who is currently living and working in Wellington. I emailed Ollie the owner and he was more than happy to help, I ordered some cupcakes for delivery to his address on his birthday and it all went without a hitch, the cakes were delivered and Ollie even put a card in with the cakes to say Happy Birthday and who they were from. Our son (and his friends) said the cakes were delicious so thank you. Polite and helpful all the way through.

H.Travelled 20 minutes to try this bakery on Saturday morning. Really wanted to try them all to be honest as all of them looked delicious and fresh. A variety of choices from pastries, staples, sweets, pies, and sandwiches, (the list goes on) Limited seating and the place can get very crowded. Very friendly staffs. Reasonably priced. They also make their own peanut butter, probably I’ll have to visit once every week to try all their baked goodies. Overall excellent bakery, much better and more ‘genuine’ bakeries than anywhere else in Wellington :-)
M.This is a great bakery. Many hard working decent people toiling to create delicious and consistently brilliant breads and pastries. In times of travel we used to drop in on the way out or on the way home , now it is delivered. A pleasure to be sure in these challenging times. Thank you Max and crew!

L.Arobake! Have to admit the best smoked salmon and cheese pie I have had in NZ. Use to live at the top of Alameda terrace and I visited this place everyday. All the baked goods are of great standards. Though a little pricey for some items but when you try them, they are worth every single cent. My only issue is they close way to early

X.They have such delicious dainty breakfast-y things! The people who work there are always warm and sunny. Consequently, it's on the sunny side of the valley in the morning, and tea at the tables outside is lovely.
