J. B.Beautifully set out. Many lakes, great restaurant and always something happening on the big lake.
D. W.Rocks can be an issue on your prop and lake can get crowded at peak times. If you're not first to the bbqs people tend to stay at them all day. Great spot otherwise.

S. C.Have been here for the national dragon boat championship. It is well maintained river with some stunning views.
A. C.Awesome lake for jet skiing/water skiing and other water sports/ boating. BBQ facilities and very clean toilets. Swimming not so good as there is weed in the lake but good for kids near the shoreline. Great for walking, relaxing, and taking a leisurely putter around the canals.
S. B.Great place to go for a BBQ with friends and family. Any of your guests visiting Ashburton like to see the area as interesting drive out through the country to Lake Hood. Also theres the restaurant for a coffee or a meal. Go and have a look!
G. J. D.Peaceful nice place to visit. Would like to more greenery ie plants flowers around an in New streets sub divisions. The high calaba of housing development and cost to buy or build there effort and funding l feel needs to be put into this area also

l. w.What a great place to run our little boat, park it on the bank to picnic then watch everyone ski,use the donuts,wake boards and just swim and all round great fun. Lovely

M. H.Lake Hood, the lake at the Ashburton Aquatic Park, is a great facility for boating, jetskiing, kayaking, rowing, paddleboarding, walking, biking, fishing, running, windsurfing, picnicking, relaxing.

A.(Translated) Very good place to go on hot days. When I went the temperature was in the 30ºC, and the water was like to get in. On not so hot days the water is quite cold. You can practice water sports, there were jet skis and people doing water skiing.
The lake is surrounded by a very large park, you can practice sports and have picnics.
There is also a restaurant that looked nice.

Muy buen lugar para ir en días de calor. Cuando fui la temperatura estaba en los 30ºC, y el agua estaba como para meterse. En días no tan calurosos el agua es bastante fría. Pueden practicarse deportes acuáticos, había motos de agua y gente haciendo esquí acuático.
El lago está rodeado por un parque muy grande, pueden practicarse deportes y hacer picnics.
También hay un restaurante que parecía agradable.
