Reviews of Willowbank Wildlife Reserve
A.
Fun experience seeing all the animals, easy to get around with the pram. Nice cafe and seating areas to eat throughout. Heaps of parking, even if it’s busy the place is large so you don’t notice as much. Spring is such a nice time to come with the tiny ducklings running around all over the place, really enjoyed seeing the Kiwis too, considering getting a annual pass.

Wow. We spent the whole day here. The place really is top notch. Animals are clearly will looked after. They look shiney and healthy. Only one kiwi was active but it was worthwhile. Most people walk out before their eyes adjust. If you have patience, it will be the best experience as long as one of them is awake. We will come back again.

Lovely weather. $3 per bag of food. There are buckets of food too. Pathways pretty wide, watch out for the occasional tree root. Monkeys, capybara, goats, horses, otters, macaws. 32.5 for adults and 12.5 children. Not too bad a day today

An absolute must-do for all visitors to Ōtautahi Christchurch and locals alike. I have been many times (and also did some volunteering because I enjoyed it so much). The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable. The native birds are the highlight for me but there are lots of cute, cool and unique animals to see who are well looked after. It's also nice wandering through the natural feel of the trees etc. sometimes you forget where you are. Great for families or individuals looking for something fun to do. You can also learn about some Māori culture which is an important touch. Highly recommend you check Willowbank out if you haven't already.

I've not been here since i was a kid and boy has it changed. Amazing place to visit!! It has been well laid out so that you follow a meandering trail through different areas and enclosures to see the different animals. Highly recommend a visit.

2 to 3 hours of great entertainment. Able to feed some of the animals and pat them. Natural environment with a stream running through and Native to Nz section. Lots to see and enjoy.

Great experience. Lots of amazing animals. Loved all the birds. They changing a few enclosures around but its looking good and coming together well. Would definitely go again.

I highly recommend everyone to visit this attraction. The staff here are very friendly and know a lot of things. The little animals living here are very happy and they are very well taken care of. I felt the Maori and their culture here, the money is very worthwhile, and the experience here is really good. We watched interactive performances and learned some history of Maori people. The experience of having dinner here was also great.

Lovely friendly staff
Lunch from onsite cafe was very nice & excellent quality.
Loved the diversity of the animals, from all the ducks following you round to feeding eels and getting up close with the parrots, & farmyard.
Following the path around was like a treasure hunt & kept from too many people at each animals home.
