My first time here and I have to admit I'm impressed. The menu is simple yet sophisticated. The food is exquisite and full of robust flavors. Their take on the classic Surf n Turf is absolutely amazing. The scotch fillet was a perfect medium rare and melt in the mouth decadence. Their Braised Lamb Shank would just fall off the bone and melt in the mouth. Big bold flavors all around. Nice welcoming family atmosphere taking the palates on an exquisite flavorful ride.

Good cozy place to dine out. Have a good menu with reasonable or competitive pricing. Service is good and you could select your seating on different category of places that is not available everywhere. Gourmet burgers and their scotch fillet are great and better than nearby famous steakhouses. Awesome waffle brunch, seafood chowder and Nachos are one of best in town. Kids menu is a good bargain. Always love to go back.

If i could give a 10..I would! Menu offered a really good range of food, you don't need a heavy wallet. Colouring in was offered to the kids, to keep them entertained, very helpful. With the new way of "mask" life, it isn't easy. Table service did an amazing job, wore and spoke clearly through the mask, a real comfort and delight. Food to table was swift, presented so well, temperature was on point, huge bonus everyone ate at the same time and Devine. Forgot to take more pics..next time

Absolutely amazing! From the service to the ambiance and everything in between, this was the best meal we have had in a long time! Drinks were delicious and made promptly, dinner was cooked to perfection and full of flavour and it’s clear the entire staff takes Covid precautions seriously because I honestly think this place is cleaner than my house! Ten out of five stars - highly recommend.

The food was fine but the whole place looked tired and in need of some TLC. The menus presented were crumpled and stained. They should have been binned and fresh ones used. The music was too loud. A little bit of effort would help bring it back to its previous standard.

Nice place in the heart of Hamilton. I can’t call it a restaurant it is more of a bar which serves some restaurant food or a restaurant with a loud music and nice drinks. We ordered lamb-shank for 2 which was quite enough for two people. We also ordered as southern sty chicken for starter and broccoli and green been as a side. Southern style chicken was really nice and came with a little bit of salad and a delicious sauce. Chicken’s batter was delicious and wasn’t greasy at all which is a plus but the chicken it self needed a some salt. Broccoli and green bean was so simple. Well cooked but not overcooked. Almost with no taste! It could be nicer it served with some side sauce. Main which was lamb shank was ok. Nothing special. Just a normal taste but huge lamb shank whit good chunk of veggies and some potato purée. The lamb shank’s surface was a little dry but the inside was juicy and well cooked. It could taste better if some flavours (onion or a garlic clove perhaps) been added to it while cooking. Over we had an enjoyable time there and all these foods and two drinks cost us $82 which was reasonable to me. Staff were nice but could do better. Best part of the experience: Nice drinks and southern style chicken Worst part of the experience: No parking

The food is sensational. I could not fault one thing. To the extent that I normally leave the dry rabbit food on the side of my plate. With this meal, I demolished the lot. It was a salad without comparison. As for the garlic bread, the mashed potatoes and pork schnitzel - who famously said ‘I’ll bee buck’. Ne’er a true word was spoken. Thanks for a wonderful meal

Was a great night my first time going, during covid lvl2 and before the traffic light system. Personally found the crowds handled very well. Lady bartender who was serving drinks to the tables was amazing. Missed the kitchen so next time il be in line to dine! Thank yous (Not the foul security boss though 👎)

The restaurant is where a bank used to be, with the BNZ sign still visible on the building. We stopped by for dinner and it was quite empty so we had a choice of seats. We ended up on the bar side of the place so the tables were higher and we were seated on stools. The place did look quite nice and comfortable. they had a decent selection of items on the menu and I ended up trying the roast vegetable ravioli. The portions were decent and the flavours were nice. There were nice chunks of roast vegetables within the creamy, tomato sauce. I also tried the arancini and thought that the coating had the texture of raw, crispy rice. It did taste nice though. It is a nice place for dinner or for drinks. It was fairly quiet which I enjoyed so we could have a conversation.

Tonight, the food was ok. Lamb shank was dry and the flavour was abit over powering. Carbonara pasta was also abit dry but tasty! Roast chicken breast was bland. But the bacon and cheese wedges were yum!! Curly fries were very crunchy, would reccomend to ask for under done maybe? Considering it was 2 for 1 tuesdays (order 2 mains, get 1 free), it was worth the money. Nice enviroment, helpful staff!

Two of our party had the Moroccan Lamb Salad, two had the ribs, & one had the steak. All were very pleased with what they ordered. Good food at a reasonable price. One suggestion though- provide a finger bowl & extra napkins with the ribs. They are finger licking good, but the stickiness is hard to totally slurp off!

Delicious yummy food. No words to describe. We have ordered for a group of five. Everything was vegetarian. The ambience was really good with heater. Especially the chai latte was awesome. Rainbow pizza is a delight. Only problem was the service was little bit slow. Highly recommend !! By the way prices are reasonable.

Had my 50th birthday in the private room last Saturday. Was really impressed with the venue, service and price. The food was amazing as well. We had ham, beef, cauli and cheese sauce, potato salad and and cauli and cashew salad. Omg it was amazing. We finished with a self saucing chocolate pudding and fresh fruit. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. We had 50 guests and everyone had a great time :) Thank you.

The food was really nice and the prices very reasonable. Unfortunately it was the service that let the place down. People who arrived after us got seen and seated before us, we had two different waitresses introduce themselves as our waitress so there wasn't very good communication between the FOH team. Drinks took too long to come out after we ordered them and a waitress had to follow up on where they were. We ended up waiting an hour after arriving to see our entrees, and a very long wait between entree and mains. It was a Saturday night so understand that it was busy but the poor communication and service was very disappointing especially since there were no apologies for any of the delays or errors in service.

Amazing place to sit and eat with friends and family. Great team with a wide range of delicious food on offer or maybe just sit and watch a game of rugby at the bar with a beer. Plenty of room for function, work do, birthday etc. Go check them out or give them a call. Definitely be going there for dinner again.

Went there for lunch on Saturday and it was fairly busy including a group of 8 or more. Place is spacious (former bank building) and has a pleasant rustic atmosphere. Staff is polite, fast and discreet. About the food, we wanted light lunch and Aranchini balls were just the right choice. My wife had double fried chicken with chipotles mayo. With side salad to share it was great. Coffee was average but that's easy to fix

I go there often for a quick lunch. The staff is quick, very friendly, and make you feel welcome. Sometimes I wished they were a little bit less interactive: For example, once I was asked thrice whether I wanted something to drink and, as a regular guest, I find it somewhat annoying to be asked whether the food was good. Their food is consistently good -- although I can only comment on their lunch offers.

The mens rest room, dont get me wrong it was very tidy and clean, only when i washed my hands the hand dryer was not functioning, i searched the near by walls for hand towles to my suprise there were no hand towle dispensers, had to walk out with wet hands and found handtowles in the disabled cubicle, 2. The fire place is a fire hazard, a piece of popping red hot charcoal flung out of the fire toward us, the fire place has no screen...not cool.

We weren't disappointed ..both dinners were first rate, goods portion size, we'll presented and very attentive staff. The only minus was that one of the staff seemed to be having a "hissy fit" about something. She should have been taken from the dining area and her issue addressed or she should have been sent home!

Was a nice place. Prices were good for what you get. Food was abit average, but still tasted good. Our waiter Ryan was very nice and friendly. One of the girls at our table ordered Sprite and because the machine wasnt working properly, instead of saying "sorry it's not working can I get you something else" our waiter came and told us that someone was going across the road to the dairy to buy her some. Yes we were paying for it, but still surprised me that they went that extra mile to get her what she ordered rather than saying we cant do it. Our waiter made it a good experience for me, so thank you Ryan, you are awesome. Over all, was happy. Will visit again.

Pleasant food at reasonable prices. Their Thursday night pizza special is a boon and they have happy hour every night (?). Gets very busy quickly though and the staff can get swamped. Outdoor area has plenty of heating and is pleasant. Could do with more lighting in the restaurant - the menus are difficult to read. Join the Laurenson Club for every spend and surprise bonuses that accumulate quickly.

The Bank is a decent place to get lunch in Hamilton. The food is not exceptional but the quality isn't bad and reasonably priced too. They used to have $5 steaks on Sundays but I don't believe that they still run that promotion any more. The staff are for the most part attentive and polite.

I had a burger yesterday for lunch and was having pizza for dinner. So I wanted something a bit different, not wanting a hash, I settled for fish and chips. They were really good fish and chips - the fish was fresh, although only one piece and the chips were cooked well. But I felt there was something missing. The menu was simple and the rest of the crew really liked the food. I look forward to trying more of the menu some other time.

Went to dinner at The Bank on 27th July 2013. Luckily we had a table booked as it was packed. A good sign for any restaurant. It took half an hour to be served, and then about 45 minutes for the food. I realise they were busy, but way too long a wait. The food when it did arrive met with universal approval however, one person who ordered chicken had to opt for fish and chips as they had run out... The alternative met with approval. All in all, a good effort. I would go again. The food was great and well presented, the restaurant staff friendly and accommodating...
