Best Barber Shop in the country! Such an awesome group of people wielding the clippers! Everyone st Maloney’s is so friendly & welcoming with great yarns. I’ve been going to Luke for years now, and the brother never fails to perfectly provide the goods with a cut. He knows my hair better than I know it myself and is very gifted with the scissors & the chat. The difference between me walking in and walking out makes him nothing short of a miracle worker. Wouldn’t get my cut anywhere else.

LUKE is the best barber in town. Have been going to him for 3 years now. When I first moved to Auckland I struggled to find a good barber that wanted to do a good job (instead of trying to do the cut as fast as they can). Luke always does every cut with care, consideration and very particular - which is hard to find in a barber these days. And the experience at Maloneys is always so inviting, they really care for all their customers. They know their customers individually and in a world of barbers on every corner it makes all the difference

I have long hair. It was getting frizzy and heavy. Went here. Adam did a great job. He pays attention to the details and really cares about the results. Took around 40 mins. My hair cut was better than I expected. Now a lot lighter and manageable. Thanks Adam👍

Ayoooo my boy Luke is blessed by the barber gods. Legit he always gets me the freshest fades and cuts in AKL for real. Luke legit a hair surgeon! It's hard to find a good barbershop in Auckland. I've found Maloneys to be one of the best. I see my man Slim Jim every 4 weeks and the results are always consistently great. Update 2020: now that they take bookings it's an easy 5 stars.

I’ve been going to Maloney’s for, it must be 18 years. When there was just 3 barbers. As it has grown, the quality has never changed. They never rush, you always get a welcome and the quality of the cut is immaculate. It’s the place to go in the community.

Fynn did a great job and staff was friendly too. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for the great barbers. Also, they get pretty busy on weekends. One of the best barbers I've been to, took me a long time and many bad cuts to find them. There's a reason why when I was living overseas, a visit to Maloney's was top priority whenever I was back in Auckland. The team are great and the banter and tunes they play all add to the pleasure of spending some time down here escaping the business of life. I've recommended to mates, both local and visiting, and none have been disappointed. It's also great that the owners are pretty much always onsite. They're really into what they do! They don't take appointments, only walk ins, but if you call ahead, you can get in line before you arrive, so as good as... no one else cuts like Maloney's, so I don't go anywhere else!

Ive been to Molaneys a number of times and have always walked out of there with a fresh cut and feeling fresh. I live in South Auckland so it can be bit of a journey for me, but I've never regretted the time I've taken out of my day to get a cut. There can be a bit of a wait but that's part and parcel of waiting for what you want and a testimony to there skills. Quality skills and service are always going to be in hot demand. It's a great atmosphere just sitting and waiting for a cut. The chatter and banter that you hear between customer and cutter are like two old friends catching up. It's adds to the warm welcoming and friendly place we all call "Maloney's"

Could be better for the time you spend waiting... My experience as a customer was quite poor, waiting for more than 45 minutes to get the hair cut, then my barber (young guy) was talking to me just pretending that he was interested as he wasn't even replying. Just throwing questions every 5 minutes... Then the haircut, was probably one of the worse ones I've got in New Zealand, once he finished I said to the hairdresser that I wanted it a bit shorter on the sides as it wasn't what I asked for at the beginning, but he decided to be in grumpy mode and saved the sides a bit shorter and said it was finished. Not even asking, he said thank you and good bye... That's it! You might be happy or not but it is what it is. As a customer the experience could be much better, the hair cut could be also better on this case, but they don't do bad for what I saw, It may just be this guy or this time but it wasn't what I wanted. Lot of things to improve regards customer service, you can't treat the customer as you want and say him is going to get a peanut head...

Maloneys Barber shop gives professional male haircuts. It gives great service, has a great fit-out and has reasonable parking. A short walk from the Victoria Markets and the "write your name on the board" as you enter system means you can leave for a coffee while you wait. 10/10
