i got half a head of highlights and a hair cut which is $124 on their website that i booked through but i was charged $150 im not sure why and i asked for blonde highlights but the guy gave me ash blonde. the couple is very nice and talkative but i’m not happy with being charged extra and doing the wrong colour

Daniel is a fantastic barber. So skillful and takes time to get every cut right. My boys had really great cuts today. They have lots of stubborn hair which is difficult to cut and Daniel was just so patient and helpful in explaining how their hair grows and how to style their hair daily. And so reasonly priced too. Top qualily, highly recommend!!

If you’re looking for a kid friendly hairdressers, this place is amazing. Daniel and Rose were so patient with my 2 year old, letting him sit on my lap, giving him treats and plenty of toys to play with. Rose even held my newborn whilst I sat with my toddler. Great haircut but the service was even better.

Just about the nicest haircutters in Auckland!! We had top-notch service from a fairly obviously highly experienced hairdresser who did an awesome job cutting my son's long moppy hair down into a manageable much shorter but still cool enough surfy style!! I love this salon! And I’m a bit fussy with my hair and a great blow wave. My kids love this place too for the best fade and barber cuts. Rose and Daniel are the owners and also a beautiful couple. Best salon experience ever!!! Did some research and found this amazing deal on Groupon with super awesome reviews. I then decided to give it a try and it turned out to be the best decision ever♡ the owners are a cute Iranian couple and both hairdressers themselves. They are super friendly and made me feel like home. I was initially waiting for awhile cuz the last customer had some delays. But they kept apologizing and even treated me some tea and scone. On top of that, they did an amazing job coloring my hair! Rose was so attention to details on my highlights, unlike many other high-end salons, sometimes wouldn't even do it to this extent. I absolutely love the results! It definitely exceeds my expectations on a family owned hair salon like this! Plus the price is also very friendly too. A must try in Auckland.

I was looking for a kid friendly hairdresser in Takapuna but could not really find any till I bumped into the family barber. It was the first haircut for our 18 month old son. When we came in a 2 year old boy had his second haircut and he was a role model in the chair + the hairdresser was amazing with the little kid. Our son was a little bit less of a role model in the chair but the hairdresser was amazing! So friendly, nice and fun with the kids + very, very patient. And the haircut is perfect. I can 100% recommend this place for a haircut for your kids. Thanks so much, we will be back.

LOOKING FOR A CHEAP AND GOOD QUALITY HAIR CUT ON THE NORTH SHORE LOOK NO FURTHER!!! I've been coming to here for ages and I can not thank them enough. They always do an excellent and wonderful job and they always remember who I am - our conversations we may have had in the past and even the hairstyle I always go for. Super professional and easy to book my haircut with them. Also it's one of the cheapest haircuts for value for men here on the north shore - I've looked everywhere for a haircut here on the shore and nothing comes close to them. Do give them a try - you won't regret it!!!

I took my 6 year-old for an overdue haircut, after cutting it myself over the first lockdown. Best haircut to date by far! Perfect lengths right as my boy wanted it. Very thoughtful service, I really enjoyed my son being able to have wee talks during the haircut which was lovely as, from my observations, some stylists just avoid eye contact with kids and just do not talk to them. He felt heard about what he wanted and ended up feeling really great! Count us as regulars now. Thank you for the smiles and kindness.

I went in to probably just get my head shaved but they gave me one better. They cut and styled my hair very well and gave me a new style that not only am I happy with, I get quite a few compliments from it. They're very friendly and offer good info and advice for my hair.

Gosh where do I start? I've been a brunette my whole life (30+) and never dared to go blonde because of all the horror-stories online, but I finally made the decision and after reading some reviews from a lot of hairdressers in Auckland I ended up at Danial and Roses place. They wanted to see my hair first before making any promises, because (experienced as they are) they know every hair-type is different and will respond different to bleach and toning. Eventually I spend 5 hours (!) with them because Rose didn't want to rush it and risk damaging my hair (have very thick, dark hair), and she wanted to wait until it was just the right tone! How wonderful is that? Luckily the customer waiting for her appointment was understanding enough (and was probably happy to see the level of commitment) to wait. I was very well looked after with some coffee and biscuits in between and honestly had a great time chatting with Rose about her adventures and mine. These extraordinary people are not making any profit here with the prices they charge (like not even half of what other places charge to do highlights), it's a labour of love!! Thank you for a lovely morning Danial and Rose, and please charge a bit more so you guys can take some time off, you deserve it and I'm sure all those loyal customers would be happy to pay it.

Went there for the first time today, and Danny gave me a great cut, with great customer service. He put a lot of effort in to the cut, and it was great value for money compared to some of the other Barbers around Takapuna. I would highly recommend!

I came here a few weeks back for the first time for a groupon deal for a treatment, cut, and style. They were very nice and spent the time to talk to me about the treatment and cut, etc. The treatment was really nice, and made my hair very soft. But as soon as it got to the cut, I could tell that both of them were out of their depth. He kept reassuring me that he knew what he was doing and referring to his i guess 'guide smock' sort of thing.. seemed super perplexed by the concept of layers in my hair. I ended up having to tell him to stop cutting, that I would go home and fix it myself. I now have what looks like chunky steps in my hair instead of nice blended layers, and will be needing to pay a proper hairdresser to fix it. They were really nice, but I wouldn't trust them with my hair again.
