I've been finding it hard to find a hairdresser that could tailor the haircut exactly as needed to fit my particular hair - but Raylee listened to careful instruction and produced a fantastic result! The location is incredible with exposed stone and wood interior. Couldn't recommend enough, thanks again!

One of the best barbershop experiences in NZ. The owner has a fascinating life story and I really enjoyed our conversation as she gave me an epic haircut and beard style/trim. An excellent business providing top notch grooming services. Highly recommended.

Well I know who my future barber/stylist whatever you want to call them nowadays. The décor, seating, barber chair everything was comfortable and soothing. Tash listened to what I wanted and delivered on my loose definition of a hair cut. She has done a fantastic job.

I was looking for an a barber to cut my hair for the first time in ten years. I went to here for the experience and was very pleased. Raylee was very professional and skilled. She completely restyled me hair from well past my waist to a rather specific image I had in my mind. It took a long time, and I was very nervous to lose my hair, but I am glad I came here and I will be back. H

It was amazing. A whole in one package with hairwash/massage, haircut, beard trim and styling. You have to make an appointment online but what you get is worth the money. Nice advices aswell. 10/10 would come again

This gentlemanly barbershop, on the first floor of the stunningly renovated Standard Building (built 1875) in Dunedin's heritage precinct, has such great ambience that I would almost pay money just to sit in it. Getting a well-crafted haircut from the lovely Raylee is the icing on the cake.

The team at Schaartje are fantastic. They make you feel welcome are always fun to visit. The on-line appointment process is quick and easy. Thanks Raylee and Tash.

Had my loppy looking barnet washed, cut and came out looking a million dollars. Raylee (the barber) took the time to ask if I had any lumps on my head that she may nick during the cut (never been asked this before!) and did an excellent job. Highly recommend :).
