N.The decor is beautiful! The barbers are professional, a number system could work as they do walk-ins and customers have to rely on memory. Other than that, so happy with the cut from Antonio, he is wonderful and we will definitely be back!
E.We travel from Central Hawkes Bay to bring my little guy (2.5 year old) to get his hair cut at Maxim! They are so awesome with kids (even with a very busy toddler), always do an amazing job and he loves getting a lollipop at the end of his haircut.

S.Took my boy to get his first haircut, he had long curly hair and the young Antonio and the owner were so amazing with him, he wouldn’t get in the chair so the owner brought the lollipop jar over and convinced him with 2 lollipops, Antonio was so patient as my boy kept looking around and whacking his hand with his lollipop, he took it all in his stride and by the end of it my boy was having a blast, couldn’t be more happy with the service, thanks for making what could have been a stressful trip an enjoyable experience

R.I was having a really rotten day when I stepped into Maxim for a trim. I was greeted with a broad smile and a firm handshake by the owner, Max. I was directed to a chair and introduced to a young lady with more tattoos than was socially acceptable back when I was a lad. I was pleasantly surprised however by her demeanor and the calming affect of her voice. I won't wax lyrical about the deftness of her scissor-work or her delicate efficiency with the clippers, but I left the shop with a mullet so luxurious that it cured my achey breaky heart. Would give 7 stars if I could.

There so professional I love how you can have a friendly conversation well getting a hair cut and trim Well priced cost as well I'll definitely be back in the near future. Q.When a place doesn't take appointments but rather, operates on a 'Walk-In' basis only, it suggests a quiet confidence that they'll do ok. That's all very well but they then have to back that confidence with great service and professionalism to attract customers and inspire them to return over and over and over again. These guys n gals achieve this with ease led by the very humble, caring, chatty and professional man himself, Max!

T.Went to Maxim barbers today was a bit of a wait but thats ok asked for skin fade and was very happy with result as im quiet fussy when it comes to cutting my hair ( ie who does it) but again went awy feeling refreshed

R.Confident and capable staff cater for the clients without compromise - and even go out of their way to reassure new clients that they are in the right place to be cared for ;) Clean, well presented shop, great pricing, and a superb central location. Happy to cater for both booked visits and "walk-in's". Short wait times, and there were plenty of staff on duty on the day I visited.

N.Amazing service, people and attitude. 5 stars is simply not enough. Please read on, it’s worth it to see how good Maxim Barbers truely is. My father was in Cranford Hospice for a while and was in dire need of a haircut and shave. We popped in to Maxim Barbers to see if we could arrange someone to come to the hospice as Dad was unable to travel. Max, the owner, was only to keen to help out and was genuinely excited to come and give Dad a much needed haircut and shave. The haircut and shave (cutthroat) was top notch and made Dad feel like The Man. Also, Max busted out a surprisingly (sorry Max) good joke! This was not a once off (the haircut and shave, not the joke), which is why I truely cannot thank Max and his staff enough for what they did for my father during a tough time. If you are in need of a haircut and are in the Hastings area (or travel from Napier), I encourage you to swing by Maxims and get a quality haircut from a great bunch of people and a genuine local business that gives back to the community. Also, massive shout out to Natasha, she got me looking sharp with some professional flare. Ask her about spiders, she loves them..... haha. Thanks again Max and team, you truely are greater people.

They are exposed to different techniques and methods with the amazing argitine guy called Kevin...
They cut quickly and confidently paying close attention to detail ...
They have their identity with the war planes so there is always interesting convo to be had...
I have always left maxim as a satisfied customer...
D.Cuts are awesum..both my boys and I stoked over the way the young girls styled their hair to how they asked. .waiting time is long and having to keep track on when you are up esp if busy is a nuisance. Will Def go back tho 👌
