Had a excellent haircut by a seasoned gentleman. Value for price aswell.Will definitely come back. Thumbs up.

Great true gentleman barber. Takes time and care in the cut. Plus you won’t get charged upwards of $100 like in these other “modern” barbers that are springing up everywhere. Value for money with traditional charm. If you have time, get a shave. It’s an experience, relaxation and meditation in itself

The young man with the really good hair is by far the best. Always insist on getting him to cut you hair. The older man was on a phone call while cutting my hair and instead of fading the sides from a 1 to an 8 like I asked he just shaved the sides at a number 1. Come on dude that's really unprofessional. Have to go to a wedding looking like a road cone now thanks.

I have been going to these guys for a while... love their work, they spend the time to do all the finer parts of getting a top notch hair cut...professional. friendly and courteous.. they dont rush ... taking their time to get it right .. plus i get to learn about their journey to NZ and how they love being a member of atearoa.. :-) thanks guys

The guy who cut my hair was really awesome! I was a bit tired of my long hair and he did best for me. He was very kind and friendly so that I felt comfortable so much. I would go there again next month! He is the best barber that I have ever had. I strongly recommend him to y'all.

My go to barber at this end of town. Nice blokes who take their time. It’s set for three chairs but I’ve only ever seen two in action. They’re also open a little longer than other shops and on Sunday. I’ve always been happy with the result, but then again I’m bald. There’s a story in there too. One of the barbers is also folliclely-challenged which means he knows what is important to me and does a good job.

This is so far the best hair cut I’ve had in my life. I’ve had haircuts for 26 years of my life in different countries in the world like Japan, Australia , England , Sri Lanka, Saudi. The list goes on.. I’ve also been to a lot of places in Nz including barbershops in Auckland and Christchurch and some of them were Big brands like Rodney Wayne & My fathers barber from Christchurch. “Capital Barber” on Vivian st is small but yet homely enough to make you go there at least once month. The hospitality to customer service is beyond expectations. The staff is soo chilled and extremely polite. Mr. Ali I believe who is the owner has trained him self and his staff to perfect their client’s looks by taking their time and always going the extra mile. It was also very affordable, and I would say it’s the most economic barber shop I’ve ever been to.. I got a zero-fade and also got my beard done. They used all professional equipment and also threaded my eyebrows n facial hair too. They also pampered the face afterwards with different oils to avoid any irritation. Spent along time in making me look the best I’ve every looked. After everything was done and when I was about to leave they also offered me mint which was better than most of the Air line services these days IF YOU LIVE IN WELLINGTON THIS IS A MUST TO GO To.

These guys are great, real professionals, friendly and highly skilled. They did me a fade the other day that I am stoked with, and they do a good student discount as well. Definitely give them a shot!

Ali is great and really gives attention to detail when cutting your hair. And the shop also has a great atmosphere, nice and cozy. Highly recommended, definitely will come back for a haircut! Also super cheap, student price is only $22 and I didn't even ask for it.

Randomly stopped here, I got in a chair within 5mns. The guys are really good with the blades and the clippers. Really happy with my 0 fade. Highly recommended!

After seeing the same barber for the last 8 years in the south island it was hard to try someone new, but Capital Barbers is a clear 10/10. Excellent service, great environment and amazing cut even after my vague description on what I wanted. Will be making Capital Barbers my new regular

Great barber shop. I always walk away very happy with the cut. He somehow knows the exact cut I want from my vague instructions. No other barber has been able to do this for me before. Very impressed. Definitely my go to barber.

I visited Wellington for a few days, and randomly stopped in here for a haircut. Ali is fantastic – one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten, and the conversation was even better. Ali just bought the shop a few months ago, so now’s the time to come meet the guy before he has lines out the door. He’s that good. If I lived less than 10,000 km from Wellington, this would definitely be my regular shop!

The person spent no more than 5min cutting my hair (no exaggeration) and rushed me out of the store. Still 20min left before store closed. The quality of cut matched the effort the hair dresser. Wasn't bad. Wasn't good. I don't think I got the main hair dresser.

Super friendly staff, lively and professionnal. I arrived just before closure time and expected to hear I should come back the following day, but they welcomed me in and were very nice. The result was perfect too. Would definitely recommend.

I've been to Barbers all over Wellington trying to find someone I like and CB has been my regular for about a year now. They always do an awesome job and are super friendly. Highly recommended to everyone.

Outstanding haircut, the attention to detail was ridiculous. I couldn't stop smiling the entire cut. I walked out a new man, a better man. I didn't know what the price would be, but I was thinking.. even if I'm charged $80.00 I would still pay for it.. and it was $25.00! I didn't catch the guys name but I took a card and I'll be going back every time for the rest of my life.
