K.I have used this business many times before and am usually happy with them.
I usually ask to have my hair thinned out because it's very thick and heavy, especially in summer.
This time, however, instead of the usual technique of using hair thinning razors/scissors, the hairdresser just used scissors to cut clumps out of my hair. The hair dresser didn't even ask how I usually wear my hair, just assumes that I straighten it everyday.
I remember commenting on it but I suppose I was too quiet and the mask meant the hair dresser couldn't hear me. I didn't bring it up again because he was the professional and I thought the knew what he was doing.
However it looks awful and it's going to grow back terribly.
I'm really upset by this. I thought I could trust the hairdresser who is a professional but he didn't cut my hair correctly at all. I'm not sure he knows how to cut or style thick hair properly.
I feel awful. Usually my hair has been cut properly and very nicely and I have been treated so well here but this is shocking. It will take months to grow out the clumps of cut hair.
I emailed the business the day I got the cut asking for a refund because I don't believe it can be fixed, just grown out. However they never got back to me. Not even an apology. So disappointed and angry.
R.Marco did my daughter's style cut he was really really good!! I was nervous and I felt he could tell I was, which is why I left the store while he cut her hair. Didn't want my nervous energy to rub off onto him! Came back and he did an amazing hair cut very knowledgeable told me how it would work out on the style she wanted and I was very impressed. She was happy and so was I that's all that mattered. Thank you Marco.
A.I've been coming to Era for years now. Marco is always on point with his clipping / shaving & is always a positive fella. Highly reccomend to anyone in the northwest area!
H.Paid $55 for a dry cut. The interior of the saloon looks clean and professional. The stylist on the photos did a good job. The only reason for a 4 star was because the stylist was trying to rush the haircut throughout the time. There was no one else waiting so I'm not sure why she was in that rush?
L.Seriously the best atmosphere, service and results. I love booking my hair appointment with Era because they genuinely care for their clients. Reasonable prices and always done a good job on my hair .
E.Great service. Accommodating at a very short notice, excellent communication, excellent advise of color choice and style. Very pleasant and professional.
Some hear-dressers can be over the top chatty and you end up exhausted after your long appointment . These guys are attentive but they leave you to enjoy the experience. Lovely music choice as well.
I would definitely return. I love my look today.

C.I have been coming back to this salon for 4 years now. Love how senior stylist Michael always give me good advice on hair color choices and he does a great cut with layering to give volume to my very thin, very straight Asian hair.
Have to book him though cz he can get busy.
Through the years, my experiece here has been top notch, Mandy at reception has been really accomodating. Highly recommend this salon for hair cuts, color and other hair treatments. 👍😊
K.Average haircut. Stylist couldn’t speak English so it was very difficult to communicate what I wanted. Went there to fix an uneven cut and ended up with a shorter uneven cut. Won’t be going back which is a shame because the other reviews seem pretty good

P.I visited Era hair for the first time today after my hairdresser moved out of Auckland. I had Grace cut my hair and she did such a good job! I went in for a simple trim and reshape and she did it perfectly and meticulously. I highly recommend Grace and will be going back :)

K.These guys really care about your hair and listen to you. I went in with red brassy hair for a balayage and Marco just went straight in and transformed me, lightened and toned it all out (their toner is magic). Also noticed they all work together to make sure all clients leave happy with results. Thank you! And i will definitely be back!

Blow dry - I’m young and I don’t do blow drying, I always thought it was more for older women but I thought what the heck let’s do it and I LOVED IT! It really finished the look and match perfect with my haircut
