I have been going to Ricky at hèlmut for over 5 years now and have never been disappointed. Ricky can always deliver and vision the look I’m after. I am always satisfied with the outcome and receive plenty of compliments on my hair. I usually go lighter but I asked for a dark blonde beige mix this time :) Beautiful place and quality talent. Highly recommend!

I went here for a post-lockdown tidy up - and I can say that I will go back! Carlos is incredibly skilled and was able to style my hair (which is currently half fried from my own doing) in a way that totally suits me. He's very honest and will easily give advice/recommendations (especially helpful if you're a little unsure and in need of an experts advice). The salon is lovely as well - very minimal and clean. I definitely recommend this place :D

Carlos is aaaaamazing!! He was honest about the look I had a picture of that I thought I wanted and said "I will create something prettier" and he did!! He knew what would suit me better and I walked out happier with my hair than I have ever been! Amazing colour and cut, beautiful salon and amazing customer service. He is also extremely passionate and proud of his craft which inspires total confidence when in his hands. Its taken me over a year since I moved to Auckland to find a salon that I am happy with and I can now say I have found my new permanent stylist, wouldn't go to ANYONE else. 10000% recommend.

I had a wonderful time at hèlmut under the care of Carlos, who took me from brunette to a lovely shade of blonde in one session. Could not be more pleased with my first salon visit in many years, and am excited to return ✨

very nice colors. Jimmy did for me. A Very patient barber. Took me 5hours but apparently worth it. The owner is French, all materials including shampoos and conditioners used for customers Are French. Nice shop and most importabtly coffee is provoded!😀 I'll definitely come back again. Recommended!

Ricky is absolutely the best, been going to Ricky for my hair since 2015 and never looked back. His cuts and colouring are amazing and all the friends who Ive recommended to say the same. I think you can really tell if someone is a good by the way your hair grows out, no matter how long my hair gets it never looks messy or out of place because of the way Ricky cuts and styles my hair. You’d be crazy not to go to him !

Ricky started cutting my hair approximately a year and a half go, and every time i walk out feeling completely transformed! Not only are his skills exceptional, but the service is also on par! I’m already excited for my next visit 😁❤️

Ricky is a great stylist who always listens to what you want and wants to make you look your best. I just get my hair bleached blonde and he still makes it look unique and I always get asked about where I get my hair done. I’d never go anywhere else and would definitely recommend

I'm so in love with my new hair style!! Thank you Carlos for the beautiful work that you did. Definitely worth the extra $. I have finally found a place that I can go to without worrying if they will mess up. I will keep coming back to you and I'm glad I finally found a place that knows what they are doing. I can't wait to go back to my Bob. When the time is right I'll return for a makeover 🙂

Ricky at Hèlmut is by far the most extraordinary hairdresser I have had colour and cut my hair. The finished look is consistently polished, with impeccable attention to detail. Not only is Ricky highly technically skilled, but he offers a personalised service that ensures you get precisely what you want. My hair stands the test of time, looking groomed and loved months after each appointment. I savor the time I spend at Hèlmut and look forward to every visit.

Stylish environment, chic and spare rather than commercial. Excellent colour, cuts and killer blow drys. My stylist Carlos is technically amazing and my cuts work so well long after I’ve left the salon. Totally recommend them.

Very elegant and sophisticated salon, I felt very comfortable there and the service was amazing. I had Ricky and he was very informative and gave me lots of styling tips, the haircut was really good and he looked after me very well. 5/5 would recommend. Thanks Ricky.

Have been loyal to Helmut for nearly three years, and my hair has received nothing but love and care since. Ricky is amazing for all you asian ladies wanting to go blonde 💁🏼‍♀️ and I promise he won’t bleach it completely dry! Not to mention they brew up some top knotch coffee on the house ☕️ Highly recommend x

I went there with my children, and didn’t feel welcomed. The look on C.’s face was just not friendly and welcoming. Maybe I am overthinking. But honestly wouldn’t recommend. Minimal spend is $120, and gets more expensive from there. There was no price list on their website, nor displayed on premises. I was absolutely shocked when I got my hair cut, and got charged $120!

Serene ambience, no clutter or ghastly Hello magazines and products are cruelty free. I always leave relaxed with gorgeous hair thanks guys and thanks especially to my lovely colourist Sarah.

Ricky is really talented, he always knows what I want even when I'm not sure at times - he will create a personalised style for me which I love every time. The atmosphere and other staff is great, highly recommend
