I had permanent straightening from LAN Hair Design and the result is AMAZING!!!! I had permanent straightening in Vietnam before, and this place is by far the best place for hair straightening in Auckland. After one week of washing, my hair is still straight. I highly recommend this place.

When you arrive, your bags will be securely placed by them. After that you will have a consultation session. You can tell what kind of hair style that you wanted and whether it is suitable for you. For me, I showed a photo to the hairdresser. I was handled by Yumiko and she is truly a good listener, carefully styling my hair. Before you proceed to the payment, you'll be asked whether you are satisfied with the result or need more trim. I loved the result, just like what I wanted. The service is A++ too.

It was really nice and professional hairdresser, we have a little bit difficult in communicate but she still tried her best to make me happy. Probably recommend for everyone haha I love it and probably will come for the next hair cut xx

Very friendly and courteous staff. English might be a barrier for both of us, but the hairdresser is very patient and try her best to understand and repeat what I said to make sure there was no miscommunication. Yumiko-san had done a great job making my hair curled with digital perm yesterday. Despite the fact that I have a bit thick density hair, Yumiko-san was rolling patiently. I'm super satisfied with the result. Highly recommend you to try LAN's services

I've got my hair cut three times and never disappointed! In my opinion, the price is quite steep but it does make sense since they've been consistent bringing a great service. I always leave the LAN Hair Design with a smile! I highly recommend this place!

I’ve been going to LAN since I moved to Auckland, and I’ve always left totally satisfied! Every stylist I’ve had has been super friendly and has taken the time to listen to the style and cut I’m hoping to achieve. I’ve had different stylists and styles because I’m pretty eclectic and I’ve always left happy. LAN stock great products, my hair is often ruined from my own crazy colour experiments and when I leave it always feels super healthy. Today Chihiro gave me a super cute cut. ありがとうございます ! !

I came to LAM because I wanted a perm. My initial appointment was excellent and even though my stylist didn't speak English the manager was an excellent translator. My appointment today was no different, I was made to feel very comfortable and served a delicious cup of matcha tea! My stylist was very attentive and did a beautiful job of wrapping my curlers. The result is exactly what I wanted, a modern looking, loose wave perm with volume. Just perfect.

I've been a customer since 2008. Ever since that first experience I have quickly become a loyal customer. Trusting them to always give me the haircut I want and they have never failed to deliver. I really love how deligent they are (perfecting down to the last strand of hair) and will put all their effort into making sure you are satisfied with your haircut. They are also more than happy to give advice in terms of what style would suit you or what hair product to use and how to style it post-cut etc. The wow factor is always there and I have always walked out of there looking more confident and sharp. I highly appreciate all the work that has been done so far and I will continue to look forward to my next appointments.

Was great! Very happy with my cut. I was in hurry and was surprised how quickly they could fit me in. I was after as close a replica of an old cut as possible that I only had a few photos of. The dresser took a few looks at the photos and nailed it. I'll be back, probably in the same hurry again I suppose ;).

LOVE! I had Permanent hair straightening done and the results were amazing! They completely exceeded my expectation. I had curly to just frizzy hair (which is down to my bum) and really thought it wouldn’t be as great as it is now- dead straight. The photos are of the stylist that worked on my hair ... and it’s not the greatest photo of my hair but there you go. Highly recommend. They’re professional and give you true accurate advice about the treatment.

I am an extremely happy and loyal customer of LAN Hair Design, visiting this salon exclusively since moving to Auckland 8 years ago. I keep returning as the service (and price!) is second-to-none. I have very long hair and have been charged outrageous prices in the past at other salons; not at LAN, where I pay a very reasonable price for a hair wash with amazing scalp massage, blow dry and cut / style. I have no favourite stylist; all have been perfectionists in their style, all check I am happy with the cut/style and I always walk away happy. Everyone is so cheerful and helpful, and the salon is bright and modern. Online booking is easy, with a swift confirmation of my appointment and text reminder the day before. Shhh! LAN is the best kept secret in hairdressing in Auckland!

Great service and really skilled hair stylists, who are always friendly and accommodating. One of the best parts of the hair cut is when they wash the hair after the cut, you get a warm towel for under your neck, which is really relaxing. Would highly recommend getting a hair cut or style with Kazu.

Came here for permanent straightening. The process is anywhere between 4 to 5 hours. The ambience and staff are so good that I didn’t feel it took that long. Their customer service is superb from the moment you walk in and until you leave. The privacy one gets with the whole set up is also nice. What th their free consultations you can be assured that their hairdressers are real experts. Highly recommended

Having recently returned from overseas, I went in for a consult only, as I have/had long, thick hair and wanted to go short. I was taken aback when I arrived for my appt and was told that the stylist had a cancellation and could do the cut. I wasn't prepared for that as my daughters didn't want me to cut my hair but I chose to 'bite the bullet' and go for it! Taira was a-mazing! He listened to what I wanted - and didn't want - and my family love my new look. I can't wait to go back. Great salon! Fantastic service!

After doing a bit of research and, also after going to a hair salon where my hair was not cut the way I wanted (I said short, the lady wouldn't do short), I decided to try LAN in Newmarket. LAN has very competitive prices compared to many other hairdressers around the area and is very reachable by public transport too. I was given many different magazines with styles I could look at while waiting so I could decide and show my assigned hairdresser the style I had in mind. I was definitely blown away with the professionality and technique of the staff there. The hairdresser I was assigned used 6 or 7 different techniques while cutting my hair and ran through everything until he thought it was perfect. He understood what I was looking for and though my hair is by far the same hair of those models in the magazines, still got a haircut that suited me, my lifestyle and definitely my personality! Walked away feeling very happy with my new find and now that I have moved cities, still head to LAN whenever I am in the city to get my haircut done by them as I always know I will walk out feeling fantastic.

Thanks so much to Koji for my Japanese Hair Straightening treatment a few weeks ago. I have had this treatment several times in the past, but this is the best result I have had so far. Absolutely wonderful - the salon is immaculate, the staff are AMAZING and then what i'm there for is always achieved beyond my highest expectations. I had the most unruly, curly, afro hair that no keratin treatment would work on. The chemical straightening at LAN hair design gave me exactly what i was after and ever since i have not gone anywhere else. I make trips to Auckland just to go to LAN.
