My appointment with Ben was my first in 8ish years after a couple traumatic haircuts and I can't recommend him enough! I have incredibly curly hair that I find difficult to work with but Ben listened to my whole hair story and gave me really helpful advice to work around my lifestyle. He walked me through everything that he was doing and how he was doing it as well as recommending great products for my hair texture. Will be coming back regularly :)

Such a friendly place to visit. And I was given advice on all aspects of styling my curly hair. If it wasn't for the post covid rules, I'm sure I would have received some treats too (I had my eye on their drinks menu). I'm supposed to be going out now and I want to because I've just left Ryder and I look pretty damn good...😏 I'm so relaxed after that experience though, I might just need to take a nap.

Highly professional yet down to earth with a full team of highly experienced staff. Went for a men's cut and left more than happy. Talked through what I wanted to achieve and was given advice about what would be best to help me along the daily/weekly journey I have with my hair from washing and styling. The coffee and a great chat with my hair stylist was a bonus. Ps their hair care products are second to none.

I had my hair cut and coloured today by Brooke and Kya. Amazing service, would highly recommend. I am so happy with my hair, was in there for almost 4 hours (they had a lot to do) and I felt very comfortable the entire time. I had a consultation two days ago and Brooke managed to fit me in this week as I go back to the UK on Sunday. If I ever come back to Auckland I will be coming back to Ryder Salon for sure.

This salon looks and feels simple yet luxurious. They haven't over complicated things and you really feel like you are in a professional stylish environment. I had Ben do my hair and he was fantastic. You can tell he gives his all and is enthusiastic about his work and he enjoys where he works. I had a wonderful time at Ryder last weekend. I was a first time customer and I had a great experience from when I walked in to when I left. I commend the lovely lady from South Korea whom did my hair - she was efficient and also great to banter with. My only downfall is that I felt it was too pricey for a blow wave but other than that, overall experience was good.

Arrived here today after a bizarre experience earlier in the day at Ministry of Hair, who refused to cut my hair despite me turning up for my appointment! I won't go into the nitty gritty but it was just plain weird. Although very upsetting at the time, I eventually and thankfully ended up at Ryder Salon with Lisa and was very impressed. The staff were lovely, Lisa was lovely, my hair is lovely. Thanks MoH for turning me away, your loss, my win because Ryder treated me with the respect I deserved and did a great job.

I've come to Ryder on a few occasions now and cant recommend it enough. After returning to Auckland/NZ spending several years living overseas I was keen to find somewhere in central Auckland that was quality without it being overly expensive. Ben is a great stylist, super attentive and really takes on board your vision and how you want your hair. If you are looking for a good salon, Ryder is your place.

Fabulous. Professional, from reception who try very hard to please, to terrific stylists. While we expect great cuts from experienced stylists, and that is what I get, I have had wonderful cuts from the juniors too. They listen to what I need and then get inventive. Pricing is great for a top Cbd salon - juniors are terrific value. I love the product Ryder use, I love the contemporary elegance and art, I love the service, I love the all care, no nonsense attitude.

Have always struggled to find a hairdresser that knows how to deal with my thick, curly hair. Ben was amazing and even gave me a follow up phone call a week or so later to make sure I was happy with my cut. Best hair dressing experience I've ever had!
