Absolutely love the cut and styling I get from here. The owners - I get my cuts from Han and nails with his wife - are also just such warm, kind people! Highly recommend

I highly recommend this hair salon, Salon2020 !!! I have long hair comes up to my waist, and natural curly hair. I went for Permanent Hair Straitening. The result was amazing!! I experienced few failures from other hair salons. But He did great job and my hair didn't get damaged. I will definitely go back ! XD

Amazing!! Im not sure what those one star ratings are on about... Whining about how he got a bruise from a pair of clippers and how their hair colour turned back to their natural colors lol 🤣🤦‍♂️. But i guess it's their own fault for not taking care of themselves. I've been here 5 times now and listened to how I was supposed to preserve and keep my hair at it's best condition. And my hair looks as good as the picture I showed him. I highly recommend these people!

U can get everything done in one place :) Nails, Hair, Eyebrow, Eyelash, Massage..... Price is reasonable and Most important the service n outcome is Satisfying 👍I always get my lashes done by Jessie as she is quick n professional. I even had my eyebrows micro bladed 😍

This is my 4th year coming to Han's for permanent hair straightening and cut. The new place is amazing and very comfortable, and the customer service has improved beyond recognition (you can see a previous review I did on this). Straightening wise they always do such an amazing job, I'm very happy with the price and the quality of the job is amazing. I will continue to return to Salon 2020. Well done to Han's team for making such a beautiful new salon, you've come a long way.

My sister and I have been going to Han for our haircuts for at least the last 6 years now. He is very professional and we are always very happy with our cuts. Very reasonably priced too. Lovely decor in new salon- v friendly staff

I have been getting my hair straightened and haircuts done for the last 4 years from Danny and he always does a good job. Tried several places before - but was not impressed. Very happy with the great value and good quality service.

I have been back here to get my hair permanently straightened by Han 4 times now, and each time I was never disappointed. I won't go to any other place to get my hair straightened! Also lovely update with the new salon location, easy to get to :)

Han is talented hairdresser. He works hard and you can tell. He is busy and if you want a long leisurely, pampered process, he may not be the guy. But for very high quality haircuts at very reasonable rates he is one of the best imo

I went in to get my hair permanently straightened! And the result was a lot better than expected. Would definitely recommend and re-do when my hair grows. The hairdresser was friendly. I was also able to get a gel manicure whilst getting the treatment. Great service from the Crayon nail salon and Hans Hair Studio.

I’m not sure why Han gets bad reviews from the others. I had my hair chemically straightened (Groupon voucher) last week and the experience was great! The time consumed was less compared to other places and my results are as expected. The prices are also reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place for permanent chemical straightening!

Found this place on a Sunday when all the salons were closed and I was in need of a hair dresser ASAP. I was able to call them and book a time on the day, and they were able to give me the price as well. My hair was tragic walking in, with a bad bleach job. They were able to fix it and dye my hair the desired colour. Amazing job, Cheap prices, good service. I would recommend.

Did the hair color for the first time. It was a good experience. Happy with the hair color. May be one should be more clear about what they are looking for and it will make easier to change the hair color accordingly. I was not happy about the grey hair cover at the front root and Han fixed it when I went later after a week. So was happy overall.

When I first walked in it seemed like such a tiny and unassuming salon with peeling paint, slightly dated equipment and a floor shared with a nail salon on a forgotten corner of the cbd so I was very skeptical. But don't let that fool you. They did such an awesome job on my permanent straightening + cut. If you're looking for a top notch Customer experience this may not be your cup of tea but in terms of styling and treatments I haven't been disappointed and at a very reasonable price too. I have super thick, lustrous hair and have always had trouble finding a salon that understood Asian hair types (even at really upscale salons) and havent had good + permanent results that last beyond a couple of days or a week for permanent straightening. But Han and his assistant really understood, and their treatments actually last (6 months now) the way it should for which I'm so greatful beyond words and I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else. Thank you! I'm due for another straightening and I will be going back to Hans hair studio.

I will admit, i was nervous as heck after booking my appointment then reading the mixed reviews. I had bought a GrabOne voucher which was non-refundable and i hadnt obviously done enough research beforehand otherwise i probably never would have gone to Hans Hair Studio... BUT... im relieved to say i had a good experience at my appointment on 17/03/18! The GrabOne voucher i bought was a permanent straightening deal (wash/cut/treatment/straightening/blowdry; i opted not to get a cut) - i physically went in to the studio to book my appointment and didnt exactly have fears quashed as Han told me he couldnt chemically straighten my hair because it was bleached - i explained to him that i have never ever dyed my hair in any way, shape or form in my 27 yrs of living but i think a mixture of the language barrier and Han's somewhat misinterpreted sales technique he was really pushing me to get Keratin straightening done instead (which was going to cost me considerably more despite me shelling out over $140 for the voucher!). I booked the appointment and over night proceeded to do as much research into chemical straightening as i could. I took a chance to just go through with it but i stress to anyone who hasnt had this treatment done to definitely do thorougher research and absolutely no offence to Han but i probably would have felt more confident from the start if i could have all my questions answered by someone who understood me - i got the vibe from Han that he was offended at me asking for a test patch to be done, asking about the pros and cons of chemical vs keratin straightening - none of this was to cause any offence but again i think the language barrier didnt help! Fast forward to Saturday afternoon i ended up having my hair done by Sookie (sorry for incorrect spelling!) She hardly said a peep throughout the 3hr appointment but she did an exceptional job. Also i have seen a lot of people mention Han's roughness, he took over one of my hair washes and helped Sookie with a hair drying and i was a little anxious about how rough he would be but as someone who is very sensitive i was surprised he was very gentle with me, i felt very relaxed! Over all the result has been AMAZING, im super happy with how my hair looks and the coupon was overall a great purchase in my opinion and i would go back again.

Got an expensive looking haircut at a very reasonable price. The staff here were amazing. They were fast, made me feel comfortable and were great at having conversations which made the process much more enjoyable. Definitely coming back!!

This is a great salon. The service was excellent. I had a wash and blowdry. I'd go there every week if I lived in Auckland. The salon also does nails and waxing etc. I would highly recommend. It is also great value.

I'm a 25yo guy and have come here for a haircut about 4 times now after walking past one day and deciding to give them try. Good result and always nice and fast and professional. Friendly staff and always give you realistic wait time. Would definitely recommend.

5 stars!! i have been going to Hans since i was 20. i trust him with his suggetions for my hair. I got my balayage with a style cut, shampoo wash, head massage and blow wave. turned out amazing result as always. very friend and nice as always. will come back to hans again!!

Hi! I got the Keratin straightening done in the BEGINNING of last year (2017, March). It was a gift from my manager and I had to pay another $80 because of my length and very think curly pacific island hair lol. I was absolutely fine with that. NO LIES i have had so many of my family and friends ask where i did my hair and i have had a couple of people go to HANS to get the Keritan because they just LOVED it and loved how it looked right up to now (2018, August). Though i thought it would last 6months , besides the regrowth, i still have the other half of my hair 98% in tact (no friz). I thought maybe the reason why it stayed on for so long, was that i waited for my hair to grow back to all my natural hair colour. (thought). I always recommend this place to everyone who asks me. The lady and the main manager both straitened my hair and were very patient. The lady that did the rest of the work was just excellent! Had great conversations, sometimes its good for us who are quite sociable to start the conversation it really helps put them at ease as well. I have so many photos to prove it as well. Though at first i wasn't sure because of the look of the place inside, i slowly got over it. It was cute seeing a lot of the older ladies have their cup of tea and relaxing during their foot spa. Its important to build the relationship though the language was a barrier. It helps when we lower ourselves and become understanding of one another to help with the process. Anywho! Had permanent straightening done by a Japanese/Chinese girl. She was lovely although be careful of the owner as he always wants to charge a bit extra especially if you have bought a coupon online. The place is messy and very dirty. Equipments used are unhygienic so just be careful.

I’ve had my hair permanently straightened three times at Han’s hair studio. The results are excellent and the price is unbeatable. I would highly recommend this hairdressers.

Great customer service. They welcome everyone that comes in and makes sure customers are able to make an appointment or are seated comfortably. Keeps to timing very well and provides a great cut at the same time. Make an appointment if you are able to otherwise walk-ins seem to be taken if at an off peak time. Best way to contact is via phone or Facebook. Highly recommended

Didn't have a booking. They fit me in with only a couple of minutes wait. Fast and efficient haircut, though difficult to understand the staff member.

Danny is an exceptional barber at an affordable price. I often ask for cuts from reference photos of my own and he is able to match them perfectly.

It was alright, I can understand there is a culture difference and costing issues, but the salon does mean well. It just doesn't cover grey like I wanted.

I used to be a Charmzone regular and was disappointed when they disappeared recently and new staff and new name (and prices) appeared in the same salon. I had my nails done at the new place - gels and this was my honest experience. I had my old colour removed and Charmzone always did a 'soak off' - Salon 2020 use drills which i would never in a million years allow near my nails. I insisted on a soak and scrap off - which they did. When my nails were having the manicure, my cuticles were cut down WAY too low, so much so that 2 of my nails beds were hurting, which seriously freaked me out that germs would get in and infection would happen. Also a normal nail file was used as a buffer across the nail bed and was very painful when it hit the just-cut cuticles. The actual paint work is perfect, no issues there at all.
