I could not be happier! A week ago I went and got a digital perm, Sho was the one who attended me. The whole time he was very kind and attentive, needless to say he is incredibly professional! I let him decide on the perfect length to show off the digital perm more. I always wanted to have wavy hair that looked natural and that is exactly what Sho achieved. I definitely recommend it! thanks Sho! I'm living my fantasy with my new hair!

My first ever cut at a Japanese salon... it was easier for me as I've always been an admirer of the Japanese attention to detail, the way they tell beautiful stories with their work. Not so easy for the hairdresser, as my hair is probably among the frizziest on the planet! Aya is a very talented hairdresser & I couldn't be happier with my cut & the styling advice. :) Big ups for hygiene, service, hospitality & professionalism.

Fantastic hairdressers, service, and price! It is important to note this is a Japanese salon and the hairdressers have specific styles and aesthetics. It's always helpful to be very descriptive with what you like - when I asked my hair to be thinned out I should have just said layered, I wasn't too happy with the result but this is my own fault (I really just meant layers). Last time I went the hairdresser did an AMAZING job, I got a green tea to drink and I was extremely happy with the service and quality for the lower price. I highly recommend this place and particularly if you have East Asian hair!

I am always going to get my hair cut once it is super long, and I do the usual short hair cut but this time around I felt like a complete change. I booked an appointment at Style Garage, using their efficient, easy to use online booking system and I chose to have a random hairdresser as I wasn't fussed on who I got. I had Yuki do my hair cut, I showed her a picture of a cut I wanted, it was very short and out of my comfort zone. She explained to me that hair cut would require upkeep and need to get cut again in a few weeks to maintain the specific length. I told her in return, I trusted her and happy with any low maintenance hair style. She recommended a different style which too was out of my comfort zone but easy to maintain. I am so glad I trusted her, because I couldn't be more happy with the result, I highly recommend this place. Yuki was incredible! already excited about going back to get this cut and maintain this style . Thank you team at Style Garage!!!

Very professional and friendly service. They understand Asian hair and actively consult while in the process of cutting your hair, not just during the beginning. Would definitely return again

This is a very friendly team from the boss Sho to the team members. I felt I was treated like a valuable guest once I entered the salon. Sho not only provides professional advice but also includes me in the decision-making. He listens to customer carefully and pays particular attention to details which I really appreciate. I highly recommend this hair salon.

We are on holiday in Auckland . My daughter(4) and I were really happy with the new haircut. The hairdressers are awesome and it was my daughter’s first haircut since she was born. They were really good with kids. Highly recommended. The price is a bit high, but since I don’t get haircut often, so it’s acceptable.

I booked an appointment for a hair trim. Sho really knew his stuff and after having a good chat, he made great suggestions. My hair looks great! I am so very happy and will definitely recommend this salon to my friends. Thanks so much

It's my first visit at Style Garage and I had cut and retouch with stylist Maki! She is very good and understands what I want for the hairstyle. I am so happy with her and definitely, I'll be recommended her to my friend's :)

The place is easy to find, the interior sweet, clean and bright. I loved the location of the shop. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The stylist who handled my hair was Yuko and she was very skilled. I walked out a happier person for the day.

I had my hair cut and colored by Yuki today. She was so lovely and sweet and did an excellent job! Everyone was so friendly as well. I previously had dark brown-box dye hair but she was able to achieve a medium ash brown without bleach! She made sure that the color and cut was perfect and what I wanted. My hair feels so alive and I feel really confident and pretty now haha. The price was also not too expensive than what I expected!! I had their cut and color $169 combo and only had to pay a little bit more cause my hair was long. Also loved the free drinks and chocolate coins! 😋 Thank you so much Yuki and Style Garage!! I’m so happy!!! I think I found my go-to salon in Auckland. 💓

Yuko is AMAZING :) I have super thick hair and a lot of it and quite wary when getting cuts, but she really understands how to make Asian hair look its best. The whole salon is so cute and clean! I’ll definitely be coming back to her ❤️

been going here since 3 years ago. Despite having a lot of customers everyday. Sho remembers my name whenever i walked in. Because he is hard to book and not available everytime. i go for Yuki. Like Sho, she is also good hair stylist. As long as i live in NZ. i will always get here to have haircut. Regards, Mark

Just got my haircut at Style Garage by Sho and absolutely love it!!! He was able to assess my curl pattern and my lifestyle and gave me a cut that made me fall in love with my curls again!! Highly recommend the place... great style and won’t break the bank.

After struggling to find a decent hairdresser in Central Auckland, I finally found a place that no only knows how to cut hair, they also take great pride in service. Tomo knows his stuff and shows very strong attention to detail when cutting your hair. Definitely returning and happy to say this is my new hair dresser!

I've come here for three years now. Despite trying numerous other Asian stylists and high end franchises this place has been the only one that can cut my Chinese hair properly. Bonus points for the great atmosphere, music and service.

Came here about a year ago for a digital perm. Sho styled my hair first which almost made me forget about the perm! My hair is still not completely back to normal so it has lasted a very long time. Very lovely people!

I’ve had Sho and Akane cut my hair before. Undercut, short haircut, haircut to allow hair to grow long. Just had my long haircut by MISA today. Wasn’t too pleased with the result after blow dry but maybe I was half asleep. When I got home, looked in the mirror again and I love my new haircut!! Thank you Misa :) Great Job!!! This is my favourite Japanese hair salon in Auckland. I am super picky because I have very fine hair and Need volume. 95% of the time female Japanese hair dressers give me the best haircuts. So glad I found them

Got my hair coloured by Maki along with Sota and she was so thoughtful to figure out ways to help me achieve my desired hair colour and the result turned out so well. Loved the hospitality provided THANK YOU SO MUCH

Always 100% happy with the service. I explore my options here and there but always find myself going back to Sho and if anyone asks for a hair stylist recommendation it'd definitely be these guys.

What a fabulous hairdressers, I believe both Sho and Tomo are one of the best hairdresser ever. I went to get hair cut last time, Tomo reminded me that hair style was a big deal for me. When I attended to my brother's wedding party, everyone liked my hair style. Sho has really good taste to design and indicate what hair style suits for me, and I even like an interior of this hair salon. I have been here over 4 times since they opened in August as I just love them. Plus, my wife and two daughters love them too as they are so kids friendly.

now i found this saloon. i can look myself at the mirror with satisfaction. they really doing a good haircut. unlike the cheap barbershop, hair gets ugly after 3 weeks. when i go to work, my workmates always ask me where i get my haircut done. Thank you Rika san kind regards -Mark T.

"YUKO" was AWESOME!!! I had very long hair and wanted a Big Change as my hair was dry and brittle. I asked for a Bob cut and during the cut she explained every process while cutting...Yuko gave advice with how to care for my new style with what prouduct's to use,she even showed me how use to the wand/thong for curls.With having my hair so long for many years I thought i was going to come out crying..but Yuko listened and I LOVED the end results!!. Thankyou STYLE GARAGE!! Your team is the ZUUUKOYA!Best salon I've ever been to, highly recommend to anyone, LANGUAGE is no barrier. I hate hair cut before, that is one of the reasons why i kept my long hair, I only trust one place (although it's far from my home): style garage. Nice people, great knowledge and sense of art. Infact, I will go there shortly when I have free time :)

Yuko did a great job on my messy natural curly hair, she did some neat cut and show me how to do daily style myself. highly recommended, beautifully designed interior.
