Megan is the best hair stylist/ colourist I have had. I have never been one to continue going back to one hairdresser but she does blondes so well and has a lovely personality and I just keep coming back. Recommend highly

Went for my hair and makeup wedding trial this morning. Loved it, the team were very helpful and the vision/theme I had was brought to fruition. Looking forward to my wedding day and I would recommend this place and team to anyone.

I have visited the salon for years. Always great results...and professional, friendly, attentive....and delightful pampering (free) extras like head massage, hand massage, teas and coffees always served with a little tasty treat...and heated, massaging basin chairs 😀 Highly recommended

Ordered a Cloud Nine hair straightener yesterday and it arrived today... amazingly fast service! From CHC to AKL! Was packaged beautifully and with love. Will be buying from again when I have the chance! Amazing business.

H&B Hair Art is a very beautiful spacious salon, the team are very friendly and accommodating. Recently just had a set of volume lash extentions on by Maureen, she was very thorough and takes pride in her work, great result of natural looking lashes. Carla Thompson knows my hair very well and has great knowledge as well as the rest of the team on colour matching and delivering what you ask for and even better at suggesting ideas when you have no idea what you want or need. I have had many colour transformations, from my natural black to a vibrant copper red. As well as Great Lengths hair extentions. I love how there is also the option of sitting at a wide long table where I could work from while having my hair coloured. This is the type of salon that goes the extra mile, with hand massages while your at the basin and providing advice on product care and samples to take away to try. I love La Biosthetique products they are very high quality and smell amazing.

I use the team at Hair Art & Beauty for all of my la Biosthetique beauty needs, they have the BEST service ever. Absolutely beautiful packaging, speedy delivery times and the product itself is amazing. Grateful they are stockists & always look forward to my next purchase.

After moving from Germany to California we realized that La Biosthetique is not available on the US market. However, we were lucky to stay in Christchurch and Carla showed us this store. On our first visit we got shampoo and heat protection for my wife and I was provided with a lot of samples to try out. Great. Two weeks later I went there again and bought another styling product and got more samples from a "just released" product line for men. Awesome customer service. See you next year. You like german cars? Get german hair care and styling products! :)

Hair Art & Beauty was able to fix my hair after a somewhat disastrous trip to another salon. they were wonderful!! I was so happy, confident and relaxed when I left. They really go the extra mile to make you feel amazing and I won't be going anywhere else ever again!

Great staff, great service and excellent at what they do. Have been coming for a while and have never been remotely disappointed! Have had a wide range of services from fashion colours to bleach and tones and more recently a balayage and they always do a lovely job. The product they stock is also great and the team do an awesome job of recommending the right product for me wether it be hair or skincare. 100% reccommend!

Always a fabulous experience with Carla. I have so much more confidence since having my hair extensions. Absolutely recommend to anyone considering extensions, or looking for an amazing hair dresser and gorgeous salon.

This review is long overdue and there’s much to say. I started seeing Carla after 4 years of having wrongly applied Great Lengths hair extensions. My overlay (top layer of hair) was broken off to about mid head. My hair was in awful condition. I decided to start fresh with a new set of extensions to cover up all the broken hair, hoping it would grow out and then I could take out the extensions. A year later and my overlay is about shoulder length. My hair has recovered tremendously with the proper application and maintenance, and effective treatment products. Carla has worked with me towards the goal of removal, which has blown me away, as most hairdressers I’ve encountered were far more interested in what I’d spend in the salon, rather than the health of my hair. Carla is a total professional, well informed and up to date in her field, and her salon is a class act in every way. I’ve gone to some of the finest salons in the country and none of them compare remotely to the level of service, knowledge and professionalism of H & B. All the staff are welcoming and friendly, and you get treated to a perfect barista coffee and hand massage (or other special sensory treat), a warm blanket at the basin, and nonstop attention, without being fake or imposing. The salon itself is elegant and comfortable- I always feel like I’m having a spa day when I’m there. Also, their cuts and colouring are amazing! I am 51, have an autoimmune disorder that causes hair loss, and can honestly recommend this place with the highest confidence.

I love this place, I always walk out feeling incredible. The staff are very friendly and talented. I've always been 100% happy with the colour and styles they suggest. I love the fact that my hair style and colour changes with the seasons. None of my other hairdressers have ever bothered. I also like the fact their staff aren't pushy either especially when buying products. I don't feel like I'm getting the hard sell. All the products I've bought for my skin and hair have made a huge difference.Thank you so much team!

Modern facilities and friendly staff. New spa for 2018 looks amazing. On busy corner and could see parking tricky at times.

This was my first time visiting the salon and I am absolutely in love with the staff and the service they provide. The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, helping me to find a fresh haircut that suited my face and looks gorgeous. I was completely pampered with a facial afterwards and haven't seen my skin looking so great for a long time. Overall I couldn't recommend this salon enough!

Before moving to Christchurch from Sydney my then hair stylist researched hair salons in Christchurch looking for the best and recommended Hair Art & Beauty. In my 10+yrs of visits I am so glad for that recommendation. Carla and the team are so professional and knowledgeable about their craft. The salon is a hair & beauty sanctuary and I look forward to my regular visits. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming . By offering hair and beauty services it is a one stop shop for looking and feeling your best!!! I cannot recommend Carla and the team highly enough.

Carla and her team are amazing. They are attentive and create amazing styles and colours which are perfect for skin tone face shape and state of mind. I recently went in feeling drab and down in my 15 year old dark brown turned black hair with frequent over colouring. I was stripped back to blonde then turned into a vibrant redhead with hair feeling in much better condition than when I started.

Great service, staff are extremely friendly...offered coffee, water and magazines throughout the appointment. Was booked in for cut and colour and walked out with the exact look I was after, beyond happy! The most relaxing and enjoyable hair appointment I've had to date. Will definitely be back! What a beautiful experience I had in H&B! From the reception to the hairdresser and beautician, everything was great. Fantastic service, the best I have ever received. First time booking with H&B and they sat me down for a free consultation to go through all the options I had for the result I was wanting to achieve. I was only booked in for a toning treatment initially, but changed my mind when I was there to get some foils. They were more than accommodating, I was spoilt to a hand message, under eye treatment, coffee from a barista machine, sachets of treatments to try at home, annnnd I left with my hair feeling the healthiest its EVER felt after their treatment too. Thanks again, and I look forward to my next appointment!! Can't recommend enough.

A wonderful hairdressers, amazing products. Keep an eye on the price charged though this needs to be checked for at the time prior to treatment because little extras creep in and add up. Shame about the phone which is never answered by a person, always a machine saying that they will call back however days go by and they do eventually TEXT back! Asking for you to phone them and so the cycle goes on! Just call in and make an appointment or change hairdressers :-)

This was my first visit . I had a colour and a cut , I am over the moon with both . It looks trendy and edgy !! I even had a scalp massage , hand massage and a blanket over me when the colour was being taken off . Oh I nearly forgot the lovely herbal tea I was served ...sigh ..it was bliss . And the staff were lovely as well !
