E.I hadn't had my hair cut at a hairdressers in 6 years, just trims at home, so was looking for a big change. Georgia washed my hair and was lovely. I had Sarah cut my hair (on her birthday no less) and I love it. She listened to everything I said and took it all into consideration. Sarah made me feel so comfortable and I really recommend True Grit and Sarah. I'm really happy with how it went and how they took my hair type into account as well as my inability to return soon.
E.Libby was outstanding. I had grown my hair for 3+ yrs and she methodically styled it, never taking shortcuts, checking in with me all the while. So friendly and put me very much at ease. 10/10 service, and I LOVE my new do! Highly recommend.
A.I had my first visit to the salon today and saw Libby. She was fantastic, excellent at what she does and worked wonders with my hair. Going to a new hairdresser can be daunting but she made it really relaxed. I’m so happy with my new cut and colour, I would highly recommend. Thank you Libby!
D.Everyone here was great! I really liked the back 'color room'; very cool to have a separate place to sit while your get your color done. I was very happy with how my hair came out and that they were able to fit me in on such short notice.

N.I can't say enough about True Grit and Naomi in particular. I was searching for someone to create a unique vibrant colour look for me, using red as the anchor colour. Naomi knocked it out of the park. She created a look that has depth and complexity.
Every step of the way she made sure that I was comfortable and taken care of, whether it was checking to make sure the bleach on my scalp wasn't hurting me or bringing me a glass of wine while I sat reading an issue of Frankie waiting for the dye to penetrate.
She also cut off six months of split ends and gave me a haircut that works with the natural fall of my hair. I have been to a lot of hairdressers who give haircuts that look great walking out of the salon, but are impossible to make look good without several years of hair school under your belt. It's been days now and my hair just falls right into place. When I wake up in the morning, it looks perfect!
When I saw how much it would cost to do my hair I was a little concerned, but I took a deep breath and decided to go for it. No regrets. I feel like I got way more than I paid for!

L.Absolutely love going to this salon! I never have had to wait more than 5 minutes for my booking. I’ve had a few hairdressers as I’ve been going here for a few years now and none of them have disappointed. They were all professional, clean, and friendly.
The head massage always makes me day too :)

E.I just moved to Christchurch 2 weeks ago from California and I was referred by a friend to True Grit Salon. I went in not know what to expect, other than a few great reviews I had read. I wanted blonde highlights, which depending on the stylist can either turn out awesome...or a disaster. But I am very pleased to say that I am absolutely thrilled at the quality of my highlights!!!! My color was done by Libby and Haley and they were both awesome. The whole experience was really relaxing. I've been to several Salons back home and my service today at True Grit was by far the best experience I've ever had at a Salon. I should also mention my boyfriend absolutely loves the highlights. I will be back for a hair cut in a couple of weeks and I plan on telling everyone I know about how talented the team is at True Grit. Thank you so much to Haley and Libby for making a girl feel so FAB!

L.Jen has been my hair stylist for many years and I wouldn’t go to anyone else, Jen is excellent with cutting short rebellious hair, the colour technicians Libby, Sailor and Natasha are well trained, professional and friendly, Lyn on the front desk is efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Jen, you won’t walk out of True Grit Hair disappointed.
C.I can't remember the last time I loved my hair this much. Naomi was incredible.
The professionalism and meticulous attention to understanding what I wanted and getting me what I needed was awesome. Seriously, get the conditioning treatment with the scalp massage... It is like a Heavenly slice of a spa day. Naomi is better at scalp massages than actual massage therapists I've been to. The only con is that you need to be ready for a few sales pitches for their pricey salon product lines. But overall, it was probably the best hair cut experience I've had, ever.
L.I always have a wonderful time at True Grit; all the staff are warm and welcoming and they provide an excellent service from start to finish including a complimentary hair wash, head massage and hot drink. I would definitely recommend getting your next hair cut there.

a.Totally recommend this Salon. I had my hair cut with Amber, a new generation stylist. I was nervous trying a new salon after jumping around stylists and walking out dissapointed more often than not. I walked out of true grit LOVING my hair. It exceeded my expectations! Very cool and comfortable salon that obviously keeps up with the trends.
L.This is the only hairdresser I have found in Christchurch that I can really trust to get my hair right 100% of the time. They have a great and relaxed atmosphere, the hairdresser always gets a thorough understanding of what you want before she starts and best of all they give a quote for the price before they start doing your hair. 10/10

Everytime you always get great service from beginning to end. My most favourite part is getting my hair washed along with a warm water head massage along with massage chair, makes it hard to stay awake! The whole team is always friendly and helpful. Keep up the awesome work team!
h.Ashley is great. It's hard to find a good hairdresser sometimes for short hair but she did SUCH a good job. And the location/business was really clean, friendly atmosphere and you get a complimentary coffee! Whaaaaat???

K.Probably one of the better haircuts I've had, lovely staff and atmosphere. However, it was not worth the extra $15 for me.
For those who are willing to spend a bit more I would definitely recommend.
