C.HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TEAM!
After mediocre service from 2 Wellington salons, I swore I would never go to another hairstylist and I would make peace with box hair dye and taking lessons from youtube videos for future attempts.
I was eventually convinced to give Rodney Wayne Queensgate a go. I am so glad I did.
My first appointment on Dec 2021 was with the lovely Jennifer who gave me the haircut I really wanted and needed. Such a lovely friendly manner and I got so many compliments about the haircut she gave me. .
Today I was looked after by Talisha (amazing senior hair stylist) who's technical skills, extensive knowledge and genuinely friendly approach made me feel so welcome and at ease. She was assisted by Sharna who was so attentive and extremely supportive with her colleagues around her.

Lahi is a great front desk & sales person and she deserves a lot of compliments especially when she goes out of her way to help every single client in the shop aswell as the hairdressers in the salon. I.Went in to get a haircut today, usually just go to a barber. They were quick to seat me. The entire process was very enjoyable, extremely happy with my hair. I had Dinesh as my hairdresser and will definitely be going back.
A.I saw Dinesh today and my hair is very long and was dry and split and hadn’t been cut in a year. He turned my hair into sleek amazingness and he didn’t even have to take off any length. He showed me how much he took off at the end and it could have been scooped up in one hand but all my splits are GONE. He is a magician. I highly recommend him, he really takes care with his work. All the best to your wife and sister, I’m privileged now that I’m now as fabulous as them 🔥 see you next time!
N.Highly recommended for thick Indian hair. I always find hard to get a good stylish haircut in NZ. Dinesh is super talented and a hair expert ( I should say others too from what Ive seen). Great experience with Rodney Wayne at Queensgate even though it was my first visit. The good things I’ve noticed are
1. No hassle to get appointments. I’ve booked online just a day before.
2. Warm welcomed. Good customer service.
3. Dinesh listened carefully to what I wanted and gave a nice haircut. Good head massage too.
4. Suggested some products to maintain the moisture, ended up in buying because they were not expensive.
5. Top of all this, the hour and a half mission didn’t rip my pocket, unbelievably cheap service fee (in 100 bucks).
If anyone like me out there looking for a stylish haircut as we get from professional hair salons like Naturals in India, book for Dinesh. He won’t disappoint you.

G.As soon as I walked in the staff were very professional and friendly (also on the phone was able to get an appointment quickly which I was grateful for), my stylist Lockie understood exactly what look I was after, and I trusted him as soon as he showed me pictures of his work and talking through the initial colour consult. Not only did the finished look surpass my expectations but I was also out earlier than I expected. I was happy with some products he used so looking forward to including them in my hair care routine. When I explained my goal was to grow my hair longer he made sure he only trimmed off what was needed to give me the look I was after and explained the upkeep required. Totally crushing on my look and will definitely be back. Don’t often write reviews but this appointment and Lockie’s approach really stood out from some other experiences I’ve had at other places. Thank you 😊

A.I have very dry, easy to tangle frizzy Indian curls and often on the look out for someone who understands my hair. Read reviews for Dinesh and he did not disappoint! C.Huge range of professional brand shampoos etc. Lovely and helpful staff member. Not 5 stars as the travel shampoo was gift bagged with two complimentary products. So my cheaper purchase idea went from $12 to $55.
