My very active 2.5 year old son had a haircut at Mermaids and Mullets and it was such a nice experience for both of us. From the second he walked in the door he was so excited to sit in the “race car seat”. His hair style is so cool and cute! The bonus lollipop and balloon at the the was the perfect way to end the appointment with a positive memory for him!

Wonderful experience for my Granddaughter, Louise was amazing, the hair looked great.. The salon was set up perfectly for children. would totally recommend.

My 3 year old girl had such a lovely first hair cut experience thanks to Mermaids and Mullets. They have created such a awesome space for children to feel relaxed, comfortable and entertained. My girl loved “driving the car” while getting her hair trimmed. Receiving a certificate, balloon and lollipop made it that much more exciting at the end. Highly recommend taking your little ones here! 😍

Great set-up for young kids hair cuts. A bright clean, fun environment with lots of distractions to keep kids in their seats. Louise did a great job of cutting my child's hair even though she moved around a little.

My son use to hate haircuts before we came here, but now he’s actually excited when I tell him we are going for a haircut. I will never take my sons anywhere else! Louise is so good with the boys and is so patient and really does a good job with their hair. Highly recommend any parent to take their kids to mermaids and mullets!

Louise is an awesome hairdresser and lovely with the kids. Her space is amazing and kids love it. Having a Screen with videos in front of them surely help keeping them still for haircuts and the fish tank and toys also make great entertainment while they have to wait for their turn. Easy access and easy parking. Can't go wrong!!!

Yes! We have a toddler’s hair cut finally! Totally recommend this place if you have a child resisting a haircut. Super patient staff who try all the tricks. Very happy mum 😀

Mermaids and Mullets is the perfect place to bring your child or baby for their haircut. Amazing value with a comfortable environment for your children (toys and play pen) you feel right at home. I love that its designed in a fun way to make this a experience for children, and the TV screen is an excellent distraction for those that need it. We cant wait to come back.

Took my 3yo grandson along who was vehemently against any hair cutting whatsoever! Kerrianne (sorry if wrong spelling) was amazing. So patient with him- the result was so worth it! Highly recommend.

Louise is lovely and patient. I find that the environment really caters to little ones. Lovely colours on the walls and even had a nice play pen I could put my baby in while waiting for his sister to finish. Thanks Louise!

We have two young boys who now both get their haircuts here. We had troubles with the 2 year old refusing haircuts at other hairdressers but not here. He sat still and came out looking great. All thanks to the relaxed atmosphere and skill of Louise.

Our son had his first haircut here (18 months old) and even though he got upset, the hairdresser was lovely and knew exactly how to keep him occupied. The haircut was great!

Absolutely amazing, well set up for kids with toys, TV and lots of space. Its nice and quiet so kids don't get overwhelmed with too much noise and people. Very professional and fantastic with a 21 month old who does not sit still at all

Amazing place for children's haircuts. Set up perfectly to distract. Very patient with children and understands them. Has plenty of toys, fish tank and even a TV set up to watch what they want so they stay looking forward. Best place ever!

My 2 year old had the best first hair cut experience. I was amazed how calmy she let the hairdresser work her hair she normally wouldn't let mum or dad do her hair. Super child-friendly and very accomodating. Will come back for more.

My five year old doesnt normally like haircuts but did really well here. The hairdresser was patient, professional and has set up a great environment for all kids to be able to relax while having their haircuts. We live in Hamilton but will make the trip over when a haircut is needed. Thank you 😊

Louise is amazing she knows exactly how to cut my sons hair seeing as he's abit of sensory processing. He just happily sat dwn and she cut his hair and chatted with him😊
