I Always get my hair cut from the owner Claire, I have been a regular costumer for a few years now. Claire knows exactly how I want my hair and I always leave feeling super happy 😄. Claire is really friendly and lovely I definitely recommend this place. 🥰

It is my first time to this place to have my hair cut. Great service, friendly and professional staff. I love my new hairstyle. I would like to book another appointment with them next time.

Claire at The Cutting Bar in Nelson (and all the team actually) are super skilled and super friendly. They take the time to understand the style you want before they start chopping. Then - after the lovely head massage and great chit chat - you're left looking and feeling amazing with a new hairdo and a stash of the gorgeous Keune products they stock (if you're smart). Wanted to start from the beginning with my curly hair after a lockdown haircut mishap. Managed to get an appointment with Yvette, the curly hair expert. She did an excellent job and I love my new manageable curly hair. It's really hard for curly haired girls like me to get the perfect stylist but this place is much recommended if your in the same boat as I am.

When I 1st visited Nz, was unsure about salons and walked in here and Siobahn just made me comfortable and gave me best and prompt haircut. They are timely and professionally cutting hair. Always recommended 👌 👍 How i wish though, the waiting period could be little less while booking ( shows they r preferred by entire Nelson community)

Awesome experience with the cutting bar! I've had my haircut here a few times and recently had it coloured with Claire, going from dry and bleached to a shiney copper, their aftercare products by keune are SO good too!! I wouldn't recommend anywhere else!!

Friendly staff and great haircuts, not to mention affordable prices. What more could you want in a hairdresser/barber shop? A clean and cozy space to have your hair cut? They've got that too. The best place to get your hair cut, without a doubt.

Have been going to the Cutting Bar since it was Clair by herself, now she has a staff all of which are friendly and listen. They give you helpful suggestions when you are just over your hair.
