K. L.I’ve been a client of Maple and Me since I can remember. In fact, in my entire life I don’t think I have been anywhere else. When people ask me why I have always said ‘I don’t know, I like it’. But yesterday I finally learnt how to answer that question.
It’s because it’s like visiting family. I see the staff more often than my family. They know when I have had a bad week or a great week and always follow up on my next visit. They ask about my family and they care about more than just my hair.
Yesterday’s visit reminded me of this. I went in after a concussion thinking I was okay. I soon realised I wasn’t. Charmaine went out of her way to make sure I had a quiet, dark and calm place to rest to make sure I was able to get home safely afterward. While Sarah took care of my little girl.
This is what makes Maple and Me a step ahead of the rest. They care. Not just about the hair.
A. F.Best cutters in Upper Hutt! If you want a proper cut, and a fabulous color, then I recommend you try Maple & Me. Charmaine and her team provide an 'on point' service, are very professional and consult with their customers to get the best look and feel for them.
K. G.I have been getting my hair done (by the amazing Vicky) here for approximately 30 years. But why rate now? Because I have a 7 year old who adores Sarah and Coco. She was a box of beans last night in anticipation of her school disco. Sarah kept her out of my way (and reasonably calm) so I could enjoy my hair cut. Miss 7 enjoyed being junior apprentice more than her disco.

Charmaine was knowledgeable and welcoming when I arrived with a hair crisis. Jamie did a stellar job with my hair colouring and gave me the best hair washing and head massage I’ve had in over 2 decades. Coco stepped in at the end for a perfect cut. Highly recommend this team, the whole atmosphere is amazing. Thank you so much guys!
P. S.Very lovely people, and Charmaine is always warm and friendly. Encouraged my boyfriend to go here after a long distrust with local barbers and the salon ensured that he was in great hands, giving him confidence that he was getting what he wanted. Coco was great and made him feel less nervous. Highly recommended!

She knows my hair, listens to what I am saying and cuts it in a way that it stays looking good between visits which are six-eight weekly. Hair is not my talent and she understands that I need a wash'n wear style. The salon is always friendly and interested in me - I would recommend it to anyone.

L. T.I would like to highly recommend Yvette beauty specialist at Charmaine on Royal. I have been seeing Yvette for over 6mths and on my recent visit Yvette noticed some sun damage on my face and recommend that I see my GP which I did. My GP was highly impressed with Yvette for noticing the sun damage and now I am being treated before the damage became more severe.
