We had Deirdre and Theresa do hair and make up for our wedding in January. They were both so kind and knew exactly what would look good, even when we weren't sure what we wanted. They made the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend working with them for your wedding or any other special event!

I had a wonderful experience with Deirdre and would highly recommend Road to Beauty to anyone getting married in the Central Otago area. Deirdre's skills and experience shone through and she did an amazing job of my make-up and my bridesmaid's make-up for my wedding day in Queenstown. I felt beautiful all day and the make-up lasted well into the evening. Deirdre has a wonderful calming personality and all the girls loved chatting to her. Thanks so much!

Deirdre is not only a skilled artist at her craft but also a lovely, helpful, and warm person. She did my hair & make-up for our elopement and was extremely patient and accommodating with our many date changes due to Covid-19, as well as our 5am start to the wedding day! She knew exactly what would suit me and perfectly matched my make-up to my very sparkly wedding dress, while still keeping it natural like I wanted. She even helped my husband with his hair on the day as well, to make sure we both looked our best. Highly recommend!

Thank you to both Deidre & Theresa who did my hair and make up for our wedding recently in Wanaka. Both D & Theresa are very calm and passionate about their work. D asks many questions prior to beginning your make up to ensure she understands exactly what it is that you would like. I didn't have a bridal party, but both ladies accomodated to 6 others having hair and make up done the morning of my wedding and did an exceptional job. I would get married all over again and will certainly be using these ladies for renewing of our vows when the time comes! Thank you to you both x

Deidre was awesome. I was nervous because we decided to elope last minute & I didn't have time to do a trial run on my makeup... But two minutes into meeting her, I felt totally at ease. I wanted a natural glow & nothing too heavy and Deidre nailed it. Loved that she checked in with me as she went along & made sure I was completely happy with my look before I left. And it lasted well to the end of the day... so well that I was tempted to try to keep it til the next day, haha. I loved the variety of brands that Deidre used & the fact that she wasn't limited to a specific few. Besides being fabulous with makeup, Deidre is such a gorgeous person and was so calming to be around on the morning of a busy day. Cannot recommend her enough - thank you for being part of our special day x x

I booked Deirdre to do my hair, make-up AND nails for my elopement wedding in Wanaka and she was just wonderful! She really listened to what I was after, which I really appreciated, especially as I had a few particular requests. I was so happy with the result, it is my favourite make-up I've ever had! I asked for a natural, dewy look, and she absolutely nailed it. Really love your passion Deirdre, it was so nice to meet you and thank you again!

Deirdre was nothing short of exceptional. She not only made me look and feel my very best self, she kept me completely calm, she made the experience beautiful, and I just so enjoyed her company. I did not have a trial with Deirdre and yet she absolutely nailed it with not one ounce of practice on me. I found Deirdre through a Google search and after viewing her website and seeing her beautiful work, I was so happy she was available for my wedding. Deirdre is talented, personable and professional and I knew right from the start I was in great hands. My wedding makeup and hair were exactly what I was looking for, flawless and timeless! My makeup looked great all day and night and hardly needed a touch up. Overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend Deirdre!

Diedre did an amazing job on my hair for my wedding! She took one look at my dress and knew exactly what kind of hairstyle would suit. She created a beautiful updo, pinned in place so that it would be heli-wedding proof. Even with some wind up in the mountains, my hair stayed in place all afternoon, throughout all the photos taken and well into the evening, I didn't have to fuss with it at all at any point. Thank you so much Diedre! It looked wonderful.

I cannot recommend Deirdre enough! She did myself, my bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law's tans for my wedding and they were great. She really adapts them to each person. She also did the bridal party and my mum's makeup for the wedding and everyone looked stunning. Our makeup didn't feel caked on but lasted all day and night. Deirdre really takes the time to make you look and feel your best. I would recommend having a makeup trail with Deirdre also. Thanks again! Lawsyn

Along with a couple of my bridesmaids and my Mum we recently used Road to Beauty, and I’m so glad we did! Deirdre and Theresa were both warm and friendly to deal with but they also did an amazing job with our hair and make up! I was unsure exactly how I wanted my hair and make up done on the day but gave them some rough guidelines and I’m so happy with how both turned out. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for wedding hair/make up.

An amazing professional service, Deirdre was so lovely, I was so happy to have her do my hair and make up for my recent elopement! She took the time to listen and completely understood what I was looking for and was happy to personalize my look to suit my style and preferences and even did my nails in between! I would absolutely recommend Deirdre. She did both my hair and makeup for my elopement and she nailed the look I was going for - even without a trial session! She was super prompt at replying and very flexible on the day of (weather was bad so we ended up switching around the ceremony time last minute)! Not to mention, a very fun and relaxed person to chat with on the big day.

D & Theresa were the perfect combo for my wedding hair and makeup, and transformed my already beautiful mom and friends with stunning hairdos and makeup. Booked in Dec 2018 for a wedding in March 2020, to be postponed to 19 Sep 2020, I can truly say that D's support was phenomenal throughout the whole process. I had an awesome time at my makeup and hair trials with them both and even more on the wedding day. Everyone, including myself, was so astonished by how well the make up and hair stayed flawless for our 15 hour day. Deirdre was an absolute life saver when my hair and makeup artist bailed a month out from my wedding. She came in at the last minute, had amazing communication and absolutely NAILED it on the day without having a trial. My girls and I looked and felt stunning, I could not have been happier!

Deidre is a superstar stylist!! I think the calibre of her talent is easy to see, so I want to draw on her as a key person on our special day! We were unfortunately one of the many couples who had our original wedding day postponed because of Lockdown. Deidre was absolutely brilliant with rescheduling to our new date. Of her own volition she emailed us a very thoughtful message on our original date and when we eventually met her she turned up with a bottle of bubbles for us! So very kind. She is a person with a big heart and an authentic warmth which is soooooo comforting to a slightly frazzled bride.

I recently attended a wedding in beautiful Wanaka. Deirdre came to my hotel room and did such a great job with my hair & makeup. It was so relaxing, we chatted easily & she listened to what I wanted and gave relevant, helpful feedback. I was so happy with how I looked. Like me, but better! I loved the products she used and plan to purchase some of them to use at home. Definitely worthwhile having an experienced professional on such a special occasion.

Deirdre swooped in the save the day, after my previous make up artist couldn't make it last minute. I call it fate, with Deirdre being my fairy godmother. She did everyone's make up flawlessly and personalised it each time to highlight their own beauty. On top of that, she was brilliant to deal with, funny and easy to talk to. It was above and beyond anything I even expected. I have never felt so beautiful in my life. I can never voice how grateful I am to her.
