I booked a couples massage for my wonderful partners birthday/our two year anniversary. From the phone call to the payment they were nothing but welcoming and kind. The room was ready upon arrival and everything from the candles to the ambient music created a relaxing and safe environment. The heated towels were a definitely a highlight and we walked out feeling brand new!

I was gifted a GrabOne voucher for my birthday from a friend for the one hour massage + 30 minute express facial. They were really lovely in that I couldn’t make a time before the voucher expired so they accommodated me to come in afterwards while still honouring the voucher. The massage by Kate was great and I would highly recommend. However I was really disappointed by the “facial” which definitely did not last half an hour, more like 10 minutes. The therapist came in without a word (I didn’t know who it was as they said nothing and the masseuse had put a towel over my face). They were extremely aggressive after I had just had my relaxing massage, I felt like they were trying to get it done as quick as possible. They didn’t remove my make up so left with mascara all over my face. The most disappointing thing to me though was that they had all of these Dermalogica products yet used St. Ives facial scrub on me! I had a feeling when they put it on me as I recognized the texture and smell from when I used it years ago, and when I got changed after I saw the bottle. Definitely unlike any facial I’ve ever had. I would recommend a massage with Kate - which is why I’ve given it 3 stars - but not a facial; I unfortunately did not catch the name of the person who did it.

I had my pamper package here for my bridal shower and let me tell you guys and gals, Jini and the team did a fantabulous job! I cannot express how amazing and relaxing and one of a kind my experience was on the spa. From the beginning I got greeted with warm smiles and I got sent to the massage room where Kate did a 11/10 job for my relaxing massage. The pressure was just right for me I didn't know how she knew what I liked but I really recommend her for massages. After a nice refreshing drink, I got sent to the facial treatment room where Sanjini did an amazing exfoliating facial on me, and she was so lovely and had amazing conversation. Afterwards I got treated by Glory to a foot spa and massage which was heavenly. She's also superb with full body massages as she did my pregnancy massage in the past. While I was getting treated to a royalty experience, Kate was doing my sister-in-law's manicure which looked so cute and professional. I cannot thank the team enough for my absolutely queen experience on the spa for my bridal shower day/night. My body and mind felt so relaxed and I felt refreshed thanks to the team 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I highly highly recommend Rising day spa to everyone that wants to get the ultimate relaxing experience.

Best in Wellington: I have been coming here for years for Facials, brazilian wax and eyebrow threading and it is one of the best beauty salon i have ever been. Everyone is excellent at what they do. The staffs are highly experienced with great customer service. I highly recommend you should try them out.

Enjoyed a beautiful Balinese Massage by Glory. Was extremely surprised by the hot towel finish on the back and legs - it went down a treat and had never experienced something really amazing like that. Will definitely be coming back. Very professional and lovely team.

I had the best time at Rising Day this morning. I bought a voucher online for an hours full body massage, body scrub and facial. It was beautiful from start to finish. Calm environment, nicely timed with no interruptions. Friendly and skilled staff too, it was perfect...I will definitely be visiting again! Can’t recommend enough :)

This is what i call a Five Star Service for a Beauty Salon!!!!!!! Sanjini is very knowledgeable and informative about what she does. You can see she is very passionate about what she does because of the way she takes care of her clients. Sanjini was very cheerful and hospitable.....she knew what my skin needed......I absolutely loved the services... I must acknowledge Wendy!! .....she was soo kind and gentle with my skin ....i felt very relaxed on how Wendy took her time to make sure my skin got the right treatment. The team is friendly and very easy to have a laugh with. Very kindly atmosphere in a cozy setting. It’s nice to escape for the day during your lunch break or just because. Booked a Grabone voucher, there were good reviews but I wasn’t counting my chickens. But I was really pleased!! My mum and I had a couples massage and both masseurs were excellent. I highly recommend the hot towel finish.

Jini and her team are totally committed to making sure you leave 100% happy, and the dozen or so times I've had my back, shoulders and chest waxed - NOT something you entrust to just anyone, I learnt that the hard way! - I've gone away COMPLETELY satisfied. They're as flexible and accommodating as possible, hard working, and lovely to talk to if you fancy a chat, but equally happy to let you relax in silence - I honestly can't imagine EVER going anywhere else! I have been seeing Sanjini regularly for eyebrow threading and tinting for a year now. I love to go for what I call "The Triple" - threading and tinting of my brows and tinting of my lashes. I am very particular, especially about my eyebrow shape. When I walk out, I feel a millions bucks and people often complement me on my eyes. I just cannot recommend Sanjini enough for these treatments.

If you want to move over to Brazilian wax and is to scared about what can happen, please do yourself a favor and visit Rising day spa and ask for Sanjini. This lady is so gentle with this type of waxing. She takes your mind off the experience and makes you relaxed. She is the best ever at Brazilian waxing. I will always return to her for my beautifying waxing.

I have been going to Rising Day Spa for more than a decade. Sanjini and the girls are so friendly and make you feel so comfortable. Good: Good massage, convenient location Bad: located in an office block My girlfriend and I booked a couples massage here (with a voucher). It was very relaxing. The staff were very friendly. The two masseuse had vice-like grips, and really worked our muscles. I had a (good) ache the following day. The spa is located in an office block, which was a surprise at first. It was my first massage so I have little to compare it to, but I would probably visit again.

As a man of a certain age I find that I need to look after myself a bit more. I have tried various day Spa's in Wellington and finally settled with Rising Day. Weekly massages and a monthly "male pamper session" as I like to call it :) with a massage, body wrap and scrub and a facial to finish off. Been doing this for a few months now so I feel qualified to put a male perspective on Rising Day Rising Day is very conveniently located at the Beehive end of Lambton Quay and I would describe the rooms as cosy. However, what really matters to me is the quality of the treatments and the quality of service and here I can unreservedly recommend Rising Day. What really makes my experience go from good to great though are just how nice the team is. As a male I have come across some fairly disdainful beauticians when I investigate having a treatment. Right from Day One at Rising Day they have always made me feel extremely welcome with the bonus of great communication when organising appointments. The team of Sanjini, Loli and Keiko are all different personalities but are all dedicated to ensuring that me, the client, is satisfied with every visit. I have had many massages in my lifetime but can easily state that Rising Day are up there with the best. All in all, I thoroughly recommend Rising Day. It's more than just a massage, body or facial treatment, it is the quality of the overall experience that keeps me coming back.
