Went out of their way to source me a new wheelset to match my needs and get me back on the road before the holidays, repairs always spot on and very timely. They've made space for me to drop off and pick up my bike out of hours even which is honestly a lifesaver when you're a commuter on shift work! Bike running smooth as butter after service and repairs too.

It was built based on my measurements and was near perfect, followed by the odd tweak post lockdown. Great selections for accessories and clothing, have found Karl and Jared very helpful. l.I needed a few items for the bicycle -- including hard to purchase online items like full length mudguards due to compatibility concerns. Amid the Delta Lockdown 3 and the spring rush of cycling commerce I found shop rep. Jared to be quite friendly, thorough, and patient helping with my online pick-up and further contactless shopping needs. During this interraction I also met the owner, Karl and though he was busy with other tasks, made the effort to say hello, surveyed the items I was working with, and volunteered several helpful suggestions. These guys also shared local tips and cycling routes as I am new to the area. This is my first visit to Rouleur Cycles and fourth attempt at connecting with a local Auckland bike shop. As a 20+ yr casual cyclist, I rolled away a content customer and will not hesitate to contact them again when the need arises. They are detail oriented. They don't have time for BS. And their passion for cycling shows. Thank you, All. Cheers.

D.Really impressed with the level of service I got from the team at Rouleur Cycles. They were easy to book with (emailed ahead), and when I got there, they listened, were 100% transparent and I got a text message update when my bike was ready. When I picked up the bike, it was well under what they'd quoted - with them saying they only do the work that's genuinely required. A receipt was emailed instantly and they even offered plenty of advice on local rides, and safe transport tips. Support your local bike shop - you wont be disappointed.
I.Top team, top blokes and top job! Jarrod and his team did a fantastic job servicing my bike - repairing cables, chain, discs and new rear cluster plus tune up - the difference in ride quality was immediately noticeable and significant. S.Rouleur cycles maintained my cervelo s5 perfectly, people thought it was a new bike afterwards and good price too. They are good mechanics and know how to get your bike operating at peak performance.
Karl and the team are great to talk to and if you fancy a ride you can turn up on Saturday morning at 7:30 for a group ride which is always entertaining and you learn heaps.

G.Got a Bike Fit Done by Karl. I noticed the difference immediately afterward when riding home. Felt noticeably more comfortable in every way. I especially noticed I had more power in my pedal strokes. Good attention to detail & sound methodology was used to make the necessary adjustments to both the bike & my bike shoes. It was also no problem to get a quick tune & check on the bike done before leaving. Friendly & attentive staff. Plenty of great bikes, & other bits and pieces available. Well set-up shop. L.Excellent product knowledge, great service - these lads know their stuff when it comes to fixing bikes. We have taken two of our bicycles to them and have received outstanding service from them on both occasions. They're friendly and greet you on arrival, do a stellar job of fixing your bike and the turnaround time is exactly what they say. Easily the best little bike shop in this neck of the woods.

C.This review is coming rather late but better late than never!
I came into Rouleur after my bike was damaged in travel. Karl was incredibly helpful. He first scoured the shop to find a replacement part and when it didn't turn up drove to the warehouse to pick one up. They had the part installed and the bike ready to go in no time and I was able to hit the road on my cycle tour of NZ.
I am so grateful for the expediency and friendliness of the service I received at this shop and would highly recommend it to anyone. Much gratitude to you all. :)
K.I want to say thanks to Rouleur Cycles for great service. I recently bought a new bike from another retailer, for the interest free terms, but have had problems with the rear wheel hub. The other retailer wouldn't send the wheel back to the distributor under a warranty claim but Rouleur Cycles offered to help with this and have loaned me a bike to commute to work while the wheel is away being looked at. Always get great service from Rouleur and the group rides on Saturday morning followed by coffee are a great start to the weekend.
T.The team at Rouleur did a great job giving my Surly Disc Trucker a birthday. Everything feels tight & right & rides like new. Precisely fitted fenders and racks for me too. Quick turnaround with friendly, honest service. I'll be back.

M.Awesome shop! They always have loads of different stock compared to other bike shops and Karl clearly has an eye for quality! If your after a new bike you really should go and have a look. The bit I really want to rave about is the bike fits. My family and I have had a few bike fits at other stores and they just don’t hold a candle to Karl’s fits. Yes the seat and the handle bars might be in the right place but what is clear to me now is that there is so much more to it than that. He gave advice on how to sit on the bike correctly, he looked at things like how your ankles and knees track when you are pedaling, something that the other guys didn’t even mention. I was getting sore knees while riding Karl sorted that in no time! Getting a bike fit from Karl is money well spent and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending him.
T.My bike became so uncomfortable that it almost came a point where I considered not riding for a period of time if I couldn’t find a solution.
I initially went to Rouleur Cycles to buy more spacious and comfortable shoes. I then decided that Karl was so knowledgeable that I had to get a re-fit. I’d already had two bike fits before I went to Rouleur Cycles. The fit I got at Rouleur was much more comprehensive than the previous two. Karl noticed that one leg was longer than the other and inserted a shim under the cleat. This was one of many things that went unnoticed in my previous bike fits. As well as some other crucial adjustments, he gave me some valuable tips on how to stay pain-free on the bike.
Don’t hesitate, if you feel any pain on your bike, get yourself a bike fit with Karl and you won’t regret it. Thank you so much once again!

J.Rouleur is one of the best bike shops I have purchased bikes from and have taken bikes to be serviced in Auckland. They have a huge variety of bicycles from multiple brands plus stacks of cool bike related stuff. The Guys are always willing to answer any question and fix any problem. R.Took a bike in I bought off trade me for a service and booked in for deluxe services. When I came to pay was a lot less than I expected. Was told it needed very little doing so wouldn't be charged full price. rear brake which was reason I took it in was set up perfectly. Gears adjusted perfectly and all cleaned. Got to respect that honesty, great service and great shop. Will be using going forward now. Thanks
G.The Bont shoes and the way you set me up with the wedges etc has worked wonders. I used to always get hot spots wearing my old Mavics that made cycling not so enjoyable. But now no such problem. A good lesson in why not to buy online unless you really know what you are doing.

E.This place is something else other than just a bike shop. I mean it's a bike shop, but it's not like any other bike shop in Auckland. It repairs and sells bikes sure, but it's something more than that. It's actually feels like it's about the 'cycling', not just flogging off stuff to make money. Without blinking an eye, I was treated like a rock star - bike removed from my care (temporarily) and I was given a replacement bike for commuting purposes as well as a little backpack because my own bag is firmly attached to my bike's carrier.
Every time I go to this place (originally on a friend's recommendation) I am treated like a Tour de France cyclist.

T.Great service got my bike tube fixed here last week and it was the end of the day and pretty dark didnt have my helmet on me no lights on my bike so one of the guys who ran the shop said he would give me a lift home which is pretty great if you ask me, highly recommend A++

D.A wise man once ‘she's a hard road finding the perfect woman boy’, and I’d begun to think the same applied to bike fits.
I had already had two bike fits and was still struggling with sore knees and stiff hips. That was until I got a standard bike fit with Karl Murray at Rouleur Cycles.
As soon as I got on the bike in his Onehunga fitting studio he sized up my uneven hips. News to me. Knee angle measurements confirmed the difference. I described to Karl a serious right foot injury I had as a teenager over 20 years ago and showed him the result. He asked me to step on an interesting scales setup. One for each foot. I was leaning 5kg heavier to the left. As an aside he also confirmed that ‘unusually’ my legs were exactly the same length.
Karl explained that when I had my accident I had essentially ‘reset’ my balance, thereafter biasing my whole body to the left. In fact my whole right side was far less flexible than my left. This would be one of his recommendations, to improve my flexibility and consciously focus on my right instead of my left. Acupuncture may also be an option. Of course there were some tweaks to my seat height, bar stem length and bar height. But it was Karl’s insight and experience in noticing the problem, probe the cause, and suggest a path to resolution that was the real outcome.
In the three weeks since my fit I’ve been stretching and trying to build up my right. And now, three weeks on I’ve stopped having to worry about getting calf cramps when I wake up and stretch. I put that down to the better bike position though.
So yes, she’s a hard road to the perfect bike fit, but once you get a great one, the rest will be up to you.
