L.Absolutely best service ever yesterday from young man who's name I unfortunately didn't get - attentive, friendly, knows his stuff (and I'm pretty sure where every item of stock is located). Had one item we wanted in stock, no trouble to order in the other item after he cleverly worked out what we were badly describing 🤣.
This was the fourth bike shop we'd visited yesterday and the only one who had what we wanted.
Got to say though the other bike shops all suggested other places we could try. Well done all.

E.Best experience shopping for a bike ever. Super helpful, built the bike I was interested on demand (in a few days), and every staff member I talked to was excellent. All around the best bike shop experience I've had, which is a stark contrast to the nearby Torpedo7 branch.
Edit: Wanted to add some info. I had issues with the bike that I recently bought wherein the seat post would consistently sink and twist, and also some shifting issues after a few days.
I brought it to the shop three times over the week trying to sort out the problem, and the Hub Cycles team was amazing every single time. Super helpful. The seat post had to be replaced because the problem was persistent, and they didn't charge me anything extra upon replacing it. They also fixed the issues with the rear-derailleur.
Very happy how customer-focused this bike-shop is.

Unfortunately I can't remember who helped us in store but we were shown suitable bikes within our requested price range with the features of each explained well.
Was great to have someone help us with our needs rather than pushy salespeople which we experienced at other competitor stores!

C.When I experienced issues with my new Trek Electric bike I purchased from them their response was just great working with Bosch to rectify my problem. A family company with first rate after purchase service - don't buy your electric bike anywhere else !
B.My one and only experience with Hub Cycles was great! Even though they are not set up for international shipping, Andrew was kind enough to stop by the post office in person and courier the item I bought to Australia for me.

S.Bought a great Norco MTB bike from here. The staffs were very friendly and knowledgeable. It my was first time getting a MTB and they guided me through the best range thats would suit me and the one that would be fit my size (Norco has a great range). I was leaving ChCh the next day and they had my bike quickly assembled to be picked up on the next day morning. They have great prices on their bikes as well.
M.Excellent service. Although just looking for a commuter bike and not a big spender compared to the majority pricing of the bikes in the store, I was treated with attention and courtesy. There was no hard sell, just help. They were willing to go well out of their way, making me feel like a valued customer. Seriously impressed, and thank you guys.
E.Excellent service, great prices, stand behind what they sell- and sort any problems that do occur. Trustworthy advice- they make sensible suggestions rather than pushing the most expensive or profitable stuff. I was recommended Hub by 3 different people and they were right. I will continue to buy bikes, parts and have repairs done here. They do get busy- but that’s because they do a good job. They are a family business and cover the whole range of levels, and it seems they can get whatever you are interested in even if it’s not in the shop. I’m glad I listened to people who told me to go there and I’m glad I listened to the advice Peter has given me since I’ve started going there.
