K.I have a Chinese e-bike which I inherited from a relative who passed. The bike only had 220ks on it and it started cutting out. I took it to the bike repair shop in Clyde. They were not interested probably because it was not one of theirs. I asked if it was tip material and they said if you do take the battery out before you dispose of it. This didnt make sense to me that it could not be repaired with only 220ks on the speedo.There had to be someone around that knew how to fix an electric bike. It wasnt a rocket ship. I took it to Dunedin and found my guru. It was Kiss bikes in north east valley.The service was superb from anyone there that I was dealing with. The mechanic there called Lucas repaired my bike even giving me more power and a better range. If you are having trouble with your e-bike see these guys first.
E.Lucas was fantastic to deal with and really helpful when I came to him with my Milwaukee heated jacket. I wanted a battery that would last a 12 hour shift at work, but that wouldn't be too bulky that I couldn't comfortably wear my overalls over the jacket. Lucas came up with a 9.0Ah battery, that was slim line and conformed a lot better into my back in the battery pocket. We also decided on minimal packaging as it would be unseen for the most part and would allow us to maintain the largest capacity battery with the sleekest profile. Very highly recommended!
D.Fixed my electric bike battery, which I had thought I would have to replace! Lucas kept me in the loop every step of the way, and made sure he kept the price as low as he could for me.
