Reviews of Kiwi Journeys Bike Hire Nelson CBD

Aaron and the team were very helpful and sorted us out with 3 E bikes at very short notice. The bikes were well serviced and performed well. The team also gave us a bit of advice on the track conditions which they ride frequently. Great service all round!!

Staff were lovely as we hired our bikes to begin the Great Taste Trail. They told us about the Spooners Tunnel and were the parts would get tricky on our self guided tour. The location of the store is excellend as it is in the heart of Nelson City. The only downside of this service was that the panniers they offered were not very strong or sturdy, but in the end thay were fine.

Wow! We had an absolute blast with Kiwi Journeys setting us up on a fabulous adventure trail (Great Taste -Nelson)! Nothing was too much trouble as they customized part of the tour for 2 of our party! Friendly efficient and knowledgeable crew, including our fab drivers and accom providers (places we stayed were amazing also!!)
Thanks Kiwi Journeys for special memories!
Love my Tshirt and drink bottle too !!!

Centrally located in Nelson. The onsite bike technician Ralph was very friendly and helpul. The cycling experience itself was awesome. Suggest hire an e-bike if your fitness level is of average since it is fairly long distance to Mapua. And it can be scorching hot in the summer. It was 31 degrees when we did it.
I forgot to mention the business owner I think his name was Glenn who kindly kept my wife's mobile who had fallen off her pocket and slid through the seats of the pick up van. We were already in Stokes when my wife realized her phone was missing. Glen patiently waited for us outside the shop for us to collect. We were humbled by his kindness. Respect!

Recently hired e. Bikes to do the craft beer and wine trail, and had a wonderful time, did about 50kms, thank goodness we got ebikes. Unfortunately all the vineyards were closed, would have been good to know that before we started. Would recommend doing a check before you head off.

Dropped in here on a whim, having never mountain biked before (although having spent tons of time on road bikes) but wanting to try it. Sean was super friendly and gave me lots of personal attention, sizing up my skill level and making sure the bike was set up for my height and weight. He recommended an excellent little trip up to Codgers MTB Park that perfectly suited me. One of the surprise highlights of my stay in Nelson / Abel Tasman!

Short staffed from Covid but made extra effort to accommodate our family. Bikes very easy to ride, would highly recommend.

Great customer service, friendly, supportive, great quality bikes. Only areas for improvement were the maps/directions, I got a bit lost at first. Need a way to make things easier to follow. Great price for bike hire too.

Rented bikes over the day for the amazing Dun Mountain track. The staff was very passionate and gave plenty of helpfull advice. A wide variety of quality bikes were available, suitable for all conditions.

We hired 2 e-bikes from here on a whim to get out to Pics factory, and had a great experience. The staff were really helpful, and helped us out navigating e-bikes which was a first for us. Whilst the e-bike hire was pricey, it was absolutely worth it, and we're hooked now!

Outstanding and friendly customer service, with very short notice, Kiwi Journeys Bike hire went out of there way to accommodate our party off six. Bikes are in great condition and we had a fantastic time. Would highly recommend this company.

Kiwi Journeys organized our Nelson Good Taste Cycle day over 5 days including a rest day at Kaiteriteri. We also hired some bikes and equipment from them. The bike people were especially nice and gave very clear instructions. The bikes were in top condition and we had no trouble with them over any of the 5 days. The tour was great and the 8 of us, mostly in our 70s, handled it without too much fuss with just the odd walk up a hill. Two of our number had eBikes, and both worked perfectly.

We had a wonderful experience riding eBikes from Nelson to Rabbit Island and back! Friendly, helpful staff with good advice (and backup if it was needed). Good bike options.

My wife and I stopped in to rent two bikes for a day of biking to a few wineries and around Nelson. They were extremely accommodating and helpful, provided us with maps and directions, made some fantastic suggestions for places to stop, and the bikes were in good working order. All in all, it was everything you could expect from a bike rental.

Fantastic holiday. Andrew was superb. Whilst the fires caused some slight deviation to the planned route, we certainly did not notice any change. All the cycling was wonderful. A number one experience. Could not recommend these guys more highly, and if you do have a booking ensure you get to Nelson and enjoy your experience. An exemplary week. Thanks Andrew, George and Glenis for ensuring we had a memorable week.
D.
Fantastic adventure week for our group. The e-bikes made all the difference and despite the fire closures Andrew put together an awesome ride. Our group of nine thoroughly enjoyed every moment, every wine tasting, the meals, the trail, the river swim, the day in Abel Tasman....we rate it as one of our best. Keep on doing what you’re doing. So pleased to be able to recommend Kiwi Journeys.

I dropped in just to get out of the sun and Aaron was kind enough to shoot the breeze, telling me about the great trails in the area. Kiwi as and a great wee shop. Stop by if you're around!

Sehr freundliches Personal, Fahrrad (Tandem) bei spontaner Ausleihe in gutem Zustand (vielleicht Schutzbleche hinzufügen?). Sehr hilfreich bei persönlichem Verlust.

(Translated) We went to rent the bikes for the whole day, with the idea of reaching Mapua, crossing with the ferry, eating something and returning with the shuttle. It was an incredible experience, crossing almost 40 km of gravel roads, some of wood, routes, most of it with the headwind and an important sun that we had not taken into account. It was a tiring experience but it was worth it. It is true that part of the tour is through an industrial area and that at low tide it is not fully enjoyed and there is quite a smell of garbage, but it is worth having reached the beach on the other side of Rabbit Island and finally reaching Mapua. Luckily the day helped a lot. I still think it's a bit expensive for a bike rental. These are in EXCELLENT conditions, with cushioning and with all the safety equipment and protection in case there is an accident in the middle!
