D.Rented mounts bikes for me and my friend, to enjoy the outdoors and stretch our legs (or should I say spread our legs l😂) we did the Old coach road trial and had an epic time.
Service as amazing, the guy who take care of our bikes was super friendly and gave us some info about the track. Bikes were also really good.
Very recommended. We will definitely be coming back.

E-bikes were so fun; mechanically everything worked, had no issues whatsoever.
Return transport was reliable and prompt.
Icing on the cake was the great customer service from start to finish, Nate and Ben are so funny and so kind!
Don’t bother going anywhere else, the team at TCB are legend and THE best in town! 💯% recommend. I will definitely be back for another adventure soon 😎🖤
M.WOW Matt was amazing! Told him we were riding 42 Traverse and he made sure our bikes tyre pressure and shocks were all good. Spent time with us giving us some bike maintenance tips. And the young lady working there was also amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend
N.Great outfit in Ohakune. We hired bikes for our family (including an 8 and 3 year old) and did the Old Coach Road. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful! It’s also reasonably priced and the equipment was well maintained and easy to use. We definitely recommend to all!

With a range of riding experience in our group those that needed extra attention got it! Excellent tips on what to look out for on the trail and also in town made for a great day out. S.I booked transport for the Old Coach Road. As I was the only one doing the trail, they took me up. Pleasant ride up with nice conversation. Once there, they gave me some advice. Great day, even though I froze on the bridge, I don't like heights. I had my own bike, but they have plenty to hire, each has there own name,. The team are very friendly and go above and beyond helping. I went back the following day and they gave advice on other rides and directions. I would use there service again. Only problem my holiday was cut short.
L.The TCB gives great E-Bike and shuttle service for a group looking to get out with no hassle. They also have plenty in stock for your trip up Mount Ruapehu, selling ski's, snowboards and a plethora of snow-wear.

H.The team here never miss. There are a few ski shops in Ohakune but none of them provide the quality service and advise that TCB have. I dealt with 3 different staff while up in Ohakune for the weekend and all of them went the extra mile to give useful advice and information about ski gear. Special thanks to Nate who adjusted bindings on skis that I had purchased second hand from my hometown and gave me a run down on how they worked and provided lots of other tips about the gear that I'll be sure to use.

The 2 hour exploratory trail was fun and relaxing. Easy to navigate with sights to boost. Do take note the pebbles path and slopes (in the forest) can be tiring.

In March I called, before going on a multi-day holiday stay in Ohakune. I arranged for my e-bike (smart motion pacer, no suspension and "city tyres") to get new tyres. I also had asked for an e-bike hire to enjoy the Ohakune Old Coach Road with at least front suspension. I loved my hire bike and the saddle with dropper seat. Never used one like that before :-). Suspension definitely made sense on the cobble stone road parts. Ah, and did I mention: it was an e-bike! We had a splendid day out.
D.Exceptional and knowledgeable service. Oliver and the whole team did an incredible job looking after our large group, catering to both our experienced skiers and newcomers.
Also super flexible and friendly when the weather called off our first day on the mountain AND gave a very generous voucher to one of your group who had some (very understandable) issues with their snowboard towards the end of the day.
All around an amazing experience, will definitely be back, and will be sure to recommend to everyone!

S.Had the best experience here on the 18th of September - we chose the busiest time to go after we got off the mountain! They were non stop but still managed to look after everyone. By the time they got around to us it was close to closing time - this didn't stop James though he looked after us, had a wealth of knowledge and even a few jokes! Some of the best customer service I've received in a long time. Will definitely be back!

I went into the store and the highly talented, James Bell assisted me. He sized my foot, asked about my skiing level and determined that the boot would be ideal for me.
This guy is a very knowledgeable boot fitter and takes the time to ensure a perfect fit. They feel absolutely brilliant. Thanks James. Your skills are really appreciated.
a.The whanau went up recently for a weekend ski trip and the team here couldn't of been more helpful! We originally came just for skiis and snowboards but a few of us also forgot jackets, gloves etc (as per usual) and they helped us out with everything we could want - for pretty great prices! Not only this but (being us) we very almost missed our bus up the mountain, and a staff member Ben DROVE US HIMSELF to the bus stop. Insane customer service, will defo come again !

D.We recently rented bikes for me, my husband, a 4 year old and shot gun seat for our 22 month old for the Old Coach Rd tour. Our rental experience was amazing, they were so helpful and we had such a great trip that when we came back we decided to purchase bikes of our own. James was amazing, he didn't try and upsell on bikes we didn't need but dedicated his time in making sure we had bikes that were perfect for us. He even told us to bike down the Carrot park track to test out the bikes, and brought down another one to test out. The customized the bikes the same day to suit us perfectly and by the end of it even our kids were fans of them. Possibly the best retail experience we've ever had. You will not be disappointed. We actually have to go back tomorrow to get our bikes shipped back home.
A.This store is amazing. James was awesome and very knowledgeable when it came to fixing the very painful problems I was having with my ski boots which I had purchased at another store last season. With a review of the boot and some adjustments I was out again the next day and was actually able to enjoy my time on the mountain. Thank you so much!

He was super knowledgeable and knew exactly what I was looking for. Went in for a browse and walked out with a custom pair of boots! Highly recommend!!

We had the best time on the old coach road . The bikes we hired were easy to use and the service and advice was great. We are planning to come again next year.

l.We booked bikes and a shuttle to do the Old Coach Road ride - they were very flexible and said we could shift or cancel if need be. The staff are very helpful, they gave us a good description of the trail and showed us how to use the e-bikes. We also rented some skis and boots from them in August and had a similar experience :)

J.Hired an E-bike from TCB. Firstly the service was fantastic everyone we talked to was friendly knowledgeable and extremely passionate. We got some great advice which lead to a fun morning exploring Old Coach Road. Second is the bike. The had 3 modes of eco, trail and boost. I am pretty unfit but with the use of trial and boost this wasn't an issue.
J.Got my boots from another shop and I could not get comfortable in them at all. After taking them twice I still had no luck. Couldn’t wear them for even a run after the last changers. I took them tcb they fitted them properly and took the time to make sure they were perfect. They really know what they are talking about. I would highly recommend them.
J.We struck it lucky. We took our bikes in and they repaired them on the spot after breaking a rotor and recalibrating the rear derailleur. Rory is a stand out bike mechanic. One the best in the business.

B.We rented our bikes for the Old Coach Road ride (absolute recommendation for decent bike riders; I had never done a downhill bike track before) from TCB bike rental in Ohakune, who've organised a shuttle service to the starting point of this tour on site. Less than an hour from arriving at the shop, we found ourselves at the starting point.
The bikes were perfect for the tour, staff was very friendly and helpful.
Plus: this is a suitable alternative in this area for more or less adventurous people who are not able to or don't want to do the alpine crossing due to insufficient weather conditions.
R.TCB hired out bikes and baby gear to us during lock down so we could stay active as a family. The service, products, and communication were exceptional. I highly recommend TCB.

J.Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Ben @TCB. Yesterday we had major issues trying to fit the chains to our motorhome at the chain bay. We went to TCB, and the amazing Ben spent an hour trying to help us with the chain fitting. Unfortunately our chains wouldn't go on - but Ben persevered, tried other chains, called out the boss to try and help. After an hour, we still didn't have any luck with our chains - but we are so grateful for the help and time that was spent trying to help us.
Have been into TCB a few times now, the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Way to go TCB
B.Highly recommeded. Purchased K2 skis from these guys 3 seasons ago and the marker bindings failed. They replaced them with no charge. Also had a hole shot on the edge which they repaired with a full tune for $50.00.

D.These guys are amazing; we had a bicycle breakdown in the middle of nowhere, and TCB came to the rescue in the form of Nick Love: knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and expert. I.Today I arrived at this bikeshop because my gears didn't work properly. Tim immediately started the job without problems. He did even more thanks I asked for: lubricated where needed and looked at my chain (he was honest I could cycle a bit more without it, but eventually replacement would be necessary. But he didn't push, like he wanted to earn money on my expense. Thanks you so much! I can continue my cycletrack in New Zealand! Ilona (the Netherlands)
