Highly recommend Sunrise eBikes. They kindly delivered the bikes to us and then picked them up from us. Brilliant service. We had a fun day biking round the Island.

A big thanks to Peta, awesome service and bikes are perfectly suited to the task. We went all the way out to Man O War winery and back. Would recommend this company to anyone considering riding ebikes on Waiheke.

My son and I have cycled on Waiheke before on conventional bikes but this was our first time on e bikes. What a difference! No need to worry about the hills but still plenty of opportunity to get a bit of a work out, especially as you need some pedal power to compensate for the extra weight of the e bike. Everything was hassle free and relaxed. Jamie met us at the wharf and we just left the bikes where we picked them up and texted to let him know. I am aware there are cheaper e bike options on Waiheke but these were good quality up to date bikes and the whole experience was very positive. Would warmly recommend.

We had a great experience. We were provided with everything we needed: we were met at the ferry, given a GPS powered map for our mobile, new helmets and equipment, and a long lasting battery to help with the many hills on the island. We experienced rain while riding and decided to cut our visit short. E-Bike Waiheke met us where we were at and transported us and the bikes from the far side of the island back to the ferry. They really displayed to us super customer service! We would rent with them again.

If you're reading this review stop now and book these bikes ASAP! My wife and I rented these bikes for our day on Waiheke and could not have been happier with the experience. Peta met us at the parking lot first thing in the morning, gave us a rundown of the operation of the bike, made sure each bike fit us perfectly and provided us with a fantastic map with recommendations and highlighted routes she suggested. She gave us pointers on which beaches were best as well as the wineries that she highly recommended. Peta is quick to respond and help, and when we had a flat on one of our bikes she was there in 10 minutes to swap out our bike with a new one and we were off again. I highly recommend E-Bike Waiheke for an exciting experience and the best way to get around Waiheke!

Hired an E-bike with my friend, I’m from Melb & my friend is from New Zealand. We hired the E-bike for half a day for $70. Peta met us at the ferry with the bikes ready to go. She hand prepared a recommended day bike tour and highlights the best spots to stop, like Palm beach and all the best wineries. This was my first time on an E-hike. Peta gave us the run down of how it worked and it was very simple and easy. We got caught up having so much fun exploring the island and wineries that we were running late to return the bikes. Peta was lovely and said the bikes weren’t hired out in the afternoon so we could take our time coming back. Overall it was the perfect way to experience Waiheke and I’m so glad we got E-bike instead of regular bikes. There are some steep hills and therefore rewarding fantastic views (like from the rooftop bar at Mudbrick winery). I would highly recommend E-bikes Waiheke and I’ll be coming back and hiring the bikes once again.

Best activity on all of Waiheke Island! I spent a day on a brand new set of bikes with my family, and cannot speak more highly of the bike quality, exceptional service, friendly demeanor of Peta, and the freedom of the electric assistance. Peta offered patient personal service, early morning bike delivery, and customized routes, all before 8AM on Christmas Day! While the numerous hills make regular biking a bit difficult, these bikes are fun and family-friendly for all ages. The electric motor allows for complete control over how strenuous the ride is. It's an ideal situation for anyone from casual day trippers to veteran bike riders. It was undoubtedly a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended for any and all that would like a hands-on, intimate experience of the island.

Awesome and professional service, couldn't have been better. We ordered the bikes by phone when we waited for the Ferry in Auckland, paid online and at arrival at the terminal in Waiheke the bikes were waiting for us. Helmets, GPS map and two folding maps and lots of inside information made our day trip on the island a great experience. The bikes are perfect for the hilly area, they are brand new, lots of power, all you need. We even had the opportunity to end our trip at one of the beautiful Vineyards and could have taken the bus to the ferry. All possible, Peta and Luca would have picked them up where ever we wanted. Thats part of the service. We can highly recommend E-bike Waiheke.

Had such a great day out with E-bikes waiheke. Steve was super flexible with pick up times and drop off point. He was knowledgeable on best routes to take. We ended up riding all the way to Man O war and back and the batteries on the bikes lasted well. Was a great day out I would highly recommend!

Booking and pickup was easy. We met Steve near the ferry. He was super friendly and knowledgeable and provided recommended routes based on our interests. We elected to spend most of our time at the mountain bike park, which was a blast. The e bikes made it much easier, but still have to work a bit. We had a great time and would definitely recommend.

Steve and Kat were so easy to work with in planning our trip to Waiheke Island. A delight! They're one of the only companies I could find on the island that let you take their e-bikes on mountain biking trails, which was exactly what we were looking for. When I had a minor accident on a trail, Kat and Steve both jumped to action and helped support me getting out of the bush and even dropped us off at a clinic to get crutches. They're a great local family-run company. 10/10.

We had a couple of days on the island visiting local attractions and wine tasting. The company went out of their way to accommodate our needs like meeting us off the ferry, dropping off our bags at our accommodation and bike pickup at the end. The bikes were easy to ride with the electrics and in very good condition. Would thoroughly recommend hiring from this company.

The ‘Giant’ ebikes are incredible! No mucking around with sissy baskets and bike stands. These bikes are top level off-road ebikes. Peta and Luca went out of their way to cater for our needs with delivery and pickup and ensure we would get the most out of our day. We were able to spend a full day riding great single tracks and hopping between vineyards via off-road tracks and roads without breaking a sweat. It would be impossible to see all the beautiful hidden spots the island has without these bikes. We were even able to change our plans and leave the bikes at a vineyard for Peta to collect after having a few too many :) Great service. Don’t forget to bring a backpack for your wine.

That was so much fun. Easy booking online, direct to their bank a/c so not having to put all your personals online. Love that. Peta, the operator, so accommodating. Held a sign up for us at the ferry terminal, short riding lesson and a few directions in the carpark and we were off. We rode flat out for 3/12 hours and we only used half the battery. My only regret is that time passes so quickly. I highly recommend this operator and this activity. Thanks team.

Best way to check Waiheke island (especially with the hills)! We were given awesome recommendations from Peta on what beaches to see and what wineries to see and when we took a wrong turn and were running late, they were super understanding! I would highly recommend them!

Met up with Peta at Palm 🌴 Beach ⛱ and took off on 5 brand new top of the line Giant mountain e bikes. Mixture of bike sizes to suit our varying needs. Excellent safety briefing. Peta couldn't be more helpful.
