T.Great staff, friendly, welcoming and accommodating! Clean facilities! $1 per 5 minutes in the showers but great water pressure. You can't drink the water as its not treated but 5 min down the road in Wanaka there is a natural spring with beautiful fresh water! Also some awesome mountain bike tracks, we followed one all the way round the lake into town for a drink. Had a great time, thank you!
F.Very friendly and helpful staff, the bathing facilities are good (remember to buy a coin for showing in the office / shop). We where given a spot for our campervan on the "Plateau", and what an amazing view we had! I highly recommend trying to get a spot here as it's a great place for stopping during a trip.
P.Pros: powered camper van sites are huge, flat and easy to get in and out of. The view is amazing. No lights at night so you get a perfect view of the sky. Showers reasonable. Staff really good.
Cons: showers cost $1. Road in/out was very bumpy thanks to vehicles with tracks destroying the surface while building a new subdivision near by.
Would happily stay here again though. The view... Wow.
R.Stayed there for four nights with my family and we had great time. We stayed in the cottage. It was off peak so the place was very quiet. Great that we were able to have our dog stay with us. There is fantastic access to the lake and lots of trails to explore. I love running and these trails are perfect but it also seemed like there were heaps of good mountain bike trails. A very good spot if you are into fishing.
J.The camp sites are quite large though everything is dusty due to the lack of grass, (mid summer) this is a nice place to camp. The hosts are friendly and helpful the facilities work though basic, $3 per wash load $3 for the dryer $1 per 5 minutes hot shower. This is a large camp right on the lake
A.I enjoyed a great night in a cabin at this holiday park. Warm, friendly hosts, cabin was clean and located near the kitchen shower block.
The cabin stayed warm all night too. Bed was firm and comfortable. No issues with my overnight stay. Showers were clean and plenty of hot water both evening and morning. I'd definitely stay again.
D.Great site, well-designed, over 100 some sites but design and signage of campground make it feel more intimate. Quiet and picturesque with views of lake and mountains. Need to pay $1 for showers but paper towels and soap are in bathrooms. Not enough refrigerator space for the number of campsites, though. Paths to bike and walk, close to other town features. Would stay here again.

Y.Lovely friendly staff, very clean facilities, just a little dated but fine. Wonderful views but the rabbits leave there mark on the walkways and not a lot can be done to address that. Very quiet at night.
J.This was my favorite campsite in all of New Zealand. The view was gorgeous! We stayed up and star gazed and with no light pollution it is magical. I would definitely recommend staying more than one night here to take advantage of the trails and lake in the area.
O.Great place with beautiful view. Dump station and water for caravan was very convenient. The showers very clean. We got there after hours when they was already closed but they left instructions for what to do and where to go. Great staff!
S.My wife and I took our Campervan for a one night stay while in Wanaka. The caravan park is set in a stunning location, the staff were well organised, friendly and helpful. Also, there were no sand flies - though that might just be due to the location. However, there were a few things which we were a little dissatisfied with. The ammenities, whilst clean and well maintained, seemed a little overwhelmed by the size of the park and number of guests. Moreover, the lighting in the toilets didn’t work late at night for nighttime toilet visits which was disconcerting to say the least. The showers with their single lever were difficult to control and the lights in the bathroom went out part way through showering. You would think with the money the you pay for you to shower would at least cater for the electricity to be provided to the lights throughout the duration of your shower. There weren’t any benches or shower curtains in the shower cubicals, so anything that couldn’t be left on a hook got wet. We have been very impressed with the internet availability throughout our New Zealand trip, including free wifi at some free camping sights. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Lake Outlet Holiday Park’s Internet; where in the year 2020, charging extra for access to wifi, and then charging incrementally for usage seems a little like something that belongs in the past.
Overall, it’s a beautiful spot, and the river that you can walk along is delightful. It’s lovely to be woken by the sounds of birds. There are plenty of rubbish bins and the staff were fantastic, however the amenities and internet left something to be desired. Three Stars
K.This place was perfect for us. We tucked into a comfy (beds-only) cabin for a few days to take a break from the campervan and ended up spending 3 straight days on the beautiful lake's edge, swimming and reading and playing Backgammon. It was so hard to leave! Facilities were basic but comfortable and clean, seemed to cater to a lot of mountain bikers since it was right on the main mtb area. No playground but no need with the lake right there. And no sandflies!
A.Lovely staff made the stay so enjoyable we stayed an extra night here. The camp grounds were confusing to navigate, so be sure to pay attention.

J.Being a Local at the other end on the lake it was great to stay at the Outlet Camp ground. I was with a group of friends on a biking tour from Aspiring and we all decided to stay there as it is located right above the lake walking/biking track. The views are breathtaking and we stayed in the cabins which I would highly recommend. They were clean, comfortable and give you great privacy. Stay here as you will not be disappointed !!
V.We came to Wanaka and found this place based on the recommendations from the i-site. We arrived rather late in the evening but were welcomed very warmly. The staff overall was super nice and very supportive. Because we really liked the campsite, the marvellous view, the decent amenities etc., we decided to stay for an extra night. Really great place!
S.This is a great place to stay. Just beside the beautiful lake in Wanaka. The camp is well organized and clean with nice facilities. Glen, who runs the camp is very friendly and helpful willing to solve any problem with a smile.
We had an electricity problem in our campervan and Glen helped us quickly and efficiently. We had a wonderful experience - 2 nights, highly recommended!!
Plenty of things to do around the camp and the town.
R.Great views from the powered sites and lots of space to be had for each spot. Facilities are spacious and adequate for several people to use at once. Only downside for me was coin operated showers. Bring some 1 dollar coins with you!
D.The park is showing signs of over use. It is a great location on the lake, but to many users and limited facilities. Rabbits seem to have eaten all the ground cover so expect that it will be dusty.

T.Amazing lake views excellent facilities, clean toilets, showers great pressure, fully equipped kitchen and we can bring our dogs! Stunning location so quiet and peaceful and biking/running trails everywhere. Bring your fishing rod, Paddleboard or kayak a break away from the city life.
C.Great location between Albert town and Wanaka just a nice walk or bike around the lake into town reasonably priced for the area with happy friendly staff there to help accommodate travelers. We found it very fast and easy to get ourselves through checking in and escorted to our site to set up ready to enjoy the area around here
D.Great camp site. Even though it was a huge site it's on a contour and the trees made your area feel intimate. You're able to walk down to lake Wanaka and go swimming and there's also a scenic walk up the outlet. Only stayed one night on our way through but would definitely return for a longer stay.

One good point is the area is very shelterd from the prevailing wind that the town gets.
S.Great spot out of the way of the hustle and bustle that Wanaka can be during the summer months. Easy access to bike and walking tracks, nice sized camp sites as well as cabins. Communal kitchen with BBQs available outside.

Had to pay extra on top of an already expensive campsite for showers. Really dark at night as there are no lights and when it rained it was very muddy and slippery.
WiFi does not work and there is really bad cell signal.
However both the women employees were very nice.
C.We stayed on a tentsite for a night. Staff was friendly, it was a bit cheaper than other places in Wanaka, and communal areas were ok (showers are not included in the price, but only $1). Good location near the lake, nice views from the tent area.
T.Big campsite. 22 per person per night. Facilities are just ok. Nothing spectacular. One thing stopping me coming back is that they charge $1 for showers for 5 min. It should be included for the cost. Wi-Fi only works around the office and is $5 for 1gb.
M.Very nice and not crowded holiday park. Camp spots near the lake next to many trees but still with a great view over the lake. Facilities could have been better, but still good and more than sufficient. Good pricing for what you get.

The facilities are a little small but the lake right next to the campsite is beautiful and has a georgeos sorrounding of mountains with some good day walks.
D.Small group of friends arrived late after looking at other terribly cramped camp sites around Wanaka town. We were warmly welcomed by the managers. This site was really lovely, and our spot had fantastic views. We sadly didnt see the managers again it must have been their days off, so from the three Brits lads, many thanks!

V.A great camping side with a country lake-side location . 5plus mins drive to puzzleworld and not much further into wanaka. Bike/walk tracks frim the camping ground to wanaka township and also in the other direction. We stayed in our caravan. Great facilities and friendly service.

T.(Translated) Worth a stop !!! At the reception you will be greeted by a really cute couple. The night for 2 with power ed site only cost 35 $. The dear woman collects you and her husband tells you something about the area afterwards. At the reception you could buy small things like food, drink or washing-up liquid etc.
The place is huge and is right on the lake / river. Almost all of the pitches have a view of the water; each of the pitches (powered) has electricity and water supply. You get rid of your old water here too. On the site you will find 2x large wc / shower houses. Each has 3 shower cabins and 3 toilet cabins p. Gender. In the one yellow house there is also a kitchen and a laundry room for washing / drying.
You need change for a warm shower !!!!!
The city of wanaka is really worth a visit. Somewhat hidden at the Vodafone shop on the See Promenade is a really delicious ice cream shop, get one! Otherwise you have everything you need in wanaka ......
It is approx. 70km to Queenstown and approx. 250km to Milford Sound;).

Einen Stop echt wert!!! Am Empfang wirst du von einen echt süssen Ehepaar empfangen.die Nacht kostete für 2 mit power ed site nur 35$. Die liebe Frau kassiert dich ab und ihr Mann erzählt dir danach was von der Gegend. Am Empfang könntest du noch kleine Sachen kaufen wie essen trinken oder spülmittel etc.
Der Platz ist riesig und liegt direkt am see/Fluss. Die Stellplätze haben fast alle einen Blick aufs Wasser, jeder der Plätze (powered) hat Strom und Wasser Versorgung. Dein alt Wasser wirst du hier auch los. Auf dem Gelände findest du 2x grosse wc/dusch Häuser. Jedes hat 3 dusch Kabinen und 3 wc Kabinen p. Geschlecht.in den einen gelben Haus noch zusätzlich ne Küche und ein wäscheraum zum waschen/ trocknen.
Du brauchst Kleingeld für ne warme dusche!!!!!
Die Stadt wanaka ist echt nen Besuch wert. Etwas versteckt beim Vodafone laden an der See Promenade ist ein mega leckerer Eis laden, holt euch eins!!! Sonst hast du alles was du brauchst in wanaka......
Nach Queenstown sind es ca. 70km und nach milford sound ca. 250km nur noch ;).
