Bella in the Wellington store was an absolute legend. I knew nothing and she knew it all and well - informed me properly of what to expect now and in the future for a variety of choices - helped me make my choice and catered to exactly what I needed. A true enthusiast, lovely gal and excellent customer service. Couldn’t be happier today with first bike purchase in 10 years as things have changed a lot and I needed a pro like Bella. Also Graeme who cared so much and carefully explained to me the importance of having the bike fitted, how to do it and then he did this all for me. Money feels well spent when you’re taken care of by professionals like these two. Thanks so much guys, much appreciated!

Visited Wellington store with the intention of buying 2x sets of front and rear lights for myself and wife's bikes. Greeted by staff warmly,asked if I needed help with anything. I discussed with staff member I was after lights for our bikes as had lost USB charger cords.showed her my old light she suggested I goe to the Warehouse and buy a USB charger and leave my bike with her to look after until I get back.Just for suggesting that I decided to by a set for my wife's road bike.Excellent service thank you to the young lady who served me Nacey Maurirere

I recently purchased a Marinda mountain bike from 99 Bikes Wellington, but I was not happy with the back derailer and cluster. The after sales service I have received from James and his team has been outstanding and were always there to give me advice until they could satisfy my needs. I cannot recommend 99 Bikes Wellington highly enough. My son had purchased a bike on Trademe and I had asked 99 Bikes to do a pack and send service (which was super easy and fast to organise) but James raised concerns about the safety of the bike which he didn't have to do but just shows how much they care about their customers and doing the right thing. Thanks so much James. You are a stand up guy and our family can't thank you enough! Only 99 Bikes for us going forward!

Awesome staff that are always super helpful. I use my bike for work and whenever I've had problems they've managed to help me near instantly, especially from James, the lead technician who is super friendly and great at his job.

Should've gone here instead of evocycles. My bad though I keep forgetting 99 bikes exists. Bought some clearance endurance bibs and a castelli top. Everything priced really well and cheaper than evo cycles. Polite service and really helpful staff too. Edit: been back a few times still good service, staff willing to open boxes and let me try before buying which was a relief

The lovely guy Dirk was brilliant in helping me choose a seat for my bike, was very patient when I asked to try out several seats. I would definitely recommend for others to shop here for a bike Dirk and the other staff deserve a pay rise.

Purchased new E bike. Michael and David both professional and helpful and facilitated supply, presentation, test and once lockdown is over – it will be delivery! Because of restricted supply this been a long drawn-out process, and Michael has stuck with it assiduously. He has kept in regular contact and provided pertinent advice along the way. Excellent service and communication from the Wellington team today. I dropped my ebike in for a puncture repair on the rear tyre and a tyre rotation yesterday. Picked the bike up all completed today. Staff called me this morning to let me know that it would incur extra costs due to the complexity of removing the rear wheel with the electronics and derailleur. Thanks Dirk and the team at Tory St.

Very happy with the service I got on the 29 of January.

I was given a detailed initial quote. Several changes occurred between the quotation and the work's completion, and communication about them was generally good. This is a positive. Some changes included very expensive parts (tyres 2.5 times more expensive than the cheaper, initial estimate); the expensive ones were advised by 99 bike staff on the basis that they can be 2 or three times more durable; only time will tell if the choice for the higher price range was wise, as they provide no guarantees. This is not so good. I experienced some issues with the bike the moment I was riding it after being serviced and had a flat front tube. While this was disappointing, I was however very satisfied with the promt and curteous response of staff to help fix and rectify the issue at no additional cost (tube replaced). RE- costs, they seem to be the cheapest in the city; however I am not quite sure I like the fixed costs for service approach. I ended up spending more than $300 for a "standard" service and to replace chain, front brake pads, and tyres of a city bike. This seems very expensive in hindsite, considerinbg a brand new bike of same type in the same shop is sold at $250. Also; my bike is of European style and all technicians who looked at it were not familair with the type of tube valves (I saw two different technicians applying the compressor directly on top of the loosened valve without removing the inner pin, possibly damamging them and causing the issue in the first place).

Andrew looked after me and made sure I got what I needed to get the most out of my shopping experience. The level of detail and knowledge is second to none. Really appreciate the customer service and devotion to ensure a positive experience.

Very efficient and fixed my son's bike at a reasonable price. Also replaced his broken bell free of charge. Great service.

The team at 99 Bikes were incredible! Everyone was really helpful, gave great advice, and got me sorted with exactly what I was after. Pricing is very reasonable, too. Strongly recommend giving the shop a visit.
