Outstanding service. Had some issues with the payment method I was using, which was promptly sorted out by Shane. Very prompt dispatch and bike was assembled immaculately which surprised me given the bike was shipped inter island. Cannot fault them and will be back again for sure.

Burkes have been so awesome to me and my bikes this past year. Bike went in for a service and came out a dream!! Always super friendly and helpful. Definitely my pick for everything bike in Wellington.

I very rarely post reviews but the service at Burkes is outstanding. The knowledge and positive helpful attitude of the staff is second to none and the workshop team do amazing work in great time too! Thanks Burkes, keep up the great work!

I was very pleased with the service first on email by brent who guided me with the gear cassette installation and then on Easter Saturday on calling in for an emergency gear adjustment for my sons bike and Jason was very helpful along with his young colleague who helped tune the bike. It was done perfectly and it rides super smooth, so thank you for accommodating on short notice and helping out. Really appreciate it. Keep it up!! Definitely coming back and mentioned a good word on service & sales to my fellow MTB mates! 👍

I popped in to Burke's Cycles Kilbirnie today after speaking with Ben on the phone and the team were fantastic - absolutely supreme customer service. I had stripped a bolt on my Cannondal rim brake and they were able to not only safely remove it, but they even had a dig around for a replacement. While I waited, the friendly and knowledgeable staff talked Cannondale's with me and obviously have a great passion for all things cycling. They then politely declined any kind of reimbursement for their efforts. I'm leaving this review as a display of my gratitude. I will be going there for further bike needs to repay my custom, and will be recommending to anyone who is after reliable advice and assistance for any kind of bike!

What an awesome service I got from them, I order the wrong part and contacted them as soon as I knew. With in a few minutes I got a reply back to let me know the correct part was sent with a return bag for the wrong part. I highly recommend these guys to everyone I know. Keep up the good job guys

Great service by the team. They always manage to squeeze my bike in for a quick tune. They can get very busy so it's good to book in advance of an event for a full service. Also the shop has a good range of products and are quick to order something in.

Haven't been back at Burkes in several years since moving away from Wellington. Saturday's visit was absolutely fantastic! The shop was packed and staff inundated, the young lad Tom who helped me despite on his break dropped everything to help me out. Made sure I got everything I needed even though he was new and learning, amazing manners and showed a genuine interest. When not 100% sure of himself, Jason to gave him a hand who was equally amazing and knowledgeable. Well done Burkes! Keep up the good work.

Knowledgeable staff with fantastic service and a HUGE range of bikes and accessories! It’s great having this cycle shop as our local here in the eastern suburbs. We have purchased 2 bikes, helmets and accessories and on each occasion we have been there we have had great products and service. They also service your bike too!! Highly recommend this bike shop that has a very long history attached to it, which makes it more special to support a local kiwi NZ owned business.

Great service, very knowledgeable staff. I have been using Burkes Cycles as my "local" bike shop for as long as I have been riding. Over the last 18 years I have purchased every bike I have owned from them even though I haven't lived in the area for the last 8 years. I have never been disappointed by the service or products. Most recently I purchased a new 29er over the phone, the bike arrived promptly, safely and in perfect condition. Ready for pick up within time frame given. The staff are all avid riders who know the local area and local bike tracks. If your looking for someone to ride with they can often point you in the right direction as well.

Came in looking for a new bike and was a bit unsure of e-bikes but Rowan talked me through them and after a couple of demo rides to make sure I found the right bike, I was sorted with my new Levo SL! Rowan really went the extra mile and was happy to share his expertise to get me riding the best, thanks Rowan and the Burkes team!!

Our family has been using Burkes on a regular basis for many years. Great service, friendly and give helpful advice and often do small repairs on the spot on the shop floor without any labour charge.

Wasn't sure with some mixed reviews of the place. Got a dropper and few other things done on my bike. Really nice team and really easy to chat to. Workmanship is great and affordable. It's my local and am very glad about that. Cheers Burke's team

First time dealing with them and it was awesome! For me, the lesser you interact with people when buying online, the better - that's what online shopping is for anyway. Bought from them an IXS knee guard, got free shipping (unlike Evo's click and collect and you still have to pay a fee) and was delivered the next day. Will definitely buy again from them if the price is good.

Great quality service. I had a huge list of things needing to be done to my bike and was suprised at how fast the work was done and the quality of work and didnt even end up with a huge bill. Overall highly recommend this place.

My 1st time I've ordered anything , ( Axiom Journey Disc Lowrider Pannier Rack ) from Burkes Cycles . Was rapt to receive the product within 4 days. Considering the lockdown etc going on , I can only say a big Thank You for such great service ! . The Axiom Pannier Rack has been fitted to my MTB touring bike , & I'm well pleased with the outcome .

Went in today to pick up some parts from my road bike that Burkes had fitted an electric motor on a couple of months ago and was just made to feel like the staff couldn't get rid of me quickly enough! The guy serving me seemed more concerned with eating a sandwich than speaking to me! When I had the motor fitted in the first place, I received no updates and had to phone repeatedly to find out when the bike would be ready to pick up and even then nobody could give me any information. Also, when the motor was fitted, the cables weren't attached very well and have since started hanging off the frame. When I took in the bike to have them tidied up, the guy just put a cable tie on and sent me packing. I did want to ask about other products but just didn't feel very welcome. To be fair, I think it depends on who is serving that day as some staff in Burkes are exceptionally friendly and helpful but it's a bit hit and miss unfortunately.

After lugging my Cannondale Slate all the way from Australia, I found I had a damaged component (the insert in the front axle's exit thread). It was a non-standard size so I had no luck in Bunnings, Repco and Mitre 10. I figured you miss 100% of the shots you never take, so emailed two bike shops including Burkes as Google said they stocked Cannondale, hoping for a minor miracle. Brent Hoy from Burkes responded quickly, and unlike the other bike store, replied to my following queries to tell me they had the part and were pretty confident they could fix it. His chief mech Ben Marklew, despite a busy day, took pity on my situation and fixed it efficiently on the spot, explaining and showing what he was doing. Rest of the staff were super friendly too. Knowledge, skills and customer service = outstanding.

Ordered sunday night, arrived tuesday morning. Great products, great packaging and great service. Will buy again.

Bought my 1st carbon road cycle here. Well treated by staff, fitted and bike modified for my size. I actually ride here most fine weekend's to browse from Wainuiomata. Love the outdoor tool and pump posts, brilliant idea.

I was hesitant at first to buy products from there due to patchy reviews, however I can report that my experiences with them have been excellent- staff are patient, friendly and go out of their way to help out. Prices are reasonable and they have a very good array of accessories- the reason why I went there in the first place. I can highly recommend Burkes Cycles.

I'd just like to share some feedback from my son Finn. We dropped his bike off with you guys for a day last week, ahead of the Makara Creek to Peak event. He had been struggling with the chain bouncing off - and we'd tried just about everything to fix the problem with no luck. You manufactured a custom chain guard which worked perfectly - and got a good test on the day. Finn's is thrilled with the result and asked me to ensure you got the message that you are bunch of legends.

Definitely not the best shop in town but if you are in the area it may be convenient. Parking can be a problem as very little parking at all. There are places not far away that are considerably cheaper too. So not sure why they have such a mark up
