Pretty much everything you want in an LBS: Great service, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a shop dog :) I've been a customer for years and can't see that changing any time soon. The fact that they're walking (pushing) distance from the bottom of Makara Peak means they're handy for when things go t!ts up.

Super friendly team at Mud Cycles. Very easy to get to by taking the No 2 bus out of Wellington. Very helpful with great trail recommendations and very easy to rent from. Thanks again

Had the pleasure (misfortunate though it was), to visit here after ripping a tyre on Ridgeline about 40mins into what turned out to be a monster day on the bike. Thankful that such a place was so close at hand and both staff on were helpful and professional. Clean and open, this retailer has plenty of everything to satisfy the local rider. I do believe i could have sourced a cheaper version of the tyre i wanted online but beggars can't be choosers (least of all when you are running tubeless and are from out of town with no immediate spare). Gratitude for the service and will hopefully not have to repeat my visit (under similar circumstances)😁👌

I have been a customer of Mud Cycles for years and continue to be impressed by the service I receive there. Experienced and friendly workshop staff and great selection of bikes and accessories. Still the best bike shop in Wellington.

Popped in to get a seat post bolt 🔩 as we broke it up by the swing bridge 🌉. My quads will never be the same. The new clamp is working a treat. Thanks 😊😂

Recently got some work done to one of my bikes after trying numerous bike shops across the wider Wellington region. The guys at muds we’re incredible. Awesome professional yet laid back approach with awesome efficient service to back it up. These guys are my new shop of choice.

My experience here was so awesome. I was just renting a bike for the day, and it was quick, easy, and not very expensive! The man helping me was really knowledgeable and friendly, and he mapped out a whole route for me after getting to know my ability level. I would highly recommend this place to everyone! Arrived on the bus to hire two mountain bikes. Staff were very helpful to ensure my wife and I got the best bikes to suit our abilities and experience. They explained the detailed mud map they gave us before we headed out for a great day. Can't wait to visit again.

Spent a couple of days riding in Wellington and then onto Nelson. While riding at Makara Peak I broke the tension spring on one of my pedals. It was just after Xmas so could not order a replacement part due to supplier closed. Ricky to the rescue and he was able to come up with a working solution 🤙 Impressive customer service and very accomodating.

Good place to rent a bike and people work there polite. If you are an advanced mtb biker then few things to note. * Knee pads are not good and very stiff. * No shoes to rent for flat paddles. * No backpacks to rent. * They weren't able to swap the brakes (I'm used to front breaks on left hand)

By far one of the cheapest shops in town for most shimano spares and very close to CRC pricing which is nuts! Also fairly close to the bike park if you need so bits to get going again. Fairly good range of tires too

I was served by a young lady who really knew her stuff tried her advice first then I tried everything else and purchased what she had advised me to in the first place . Polite straight forward helpful and efficient service other sales persons could really learn a lot from het.
