Awesome experience. Group of 5 of us road round oriental parade, through to Mapuia prison, eastern and southern bays all the way round to Island Bay before heading back for 4pm along Happy Valley road. Multiple stops to picnic, cafes, etc.. Our GrabOne voucher deal made it great value for money. Riding uphill made it possible to get to explore hill, ridge line view points! Huge thanks to the friendly and very flexible team at Switch on Bikes. Always happy to please.

Rented mtb e bike. Rode to the windmill, vhf tower and red rocks. Bike had plenty of power for the time I rented. Only regret - not being more familiar with the trails from the windmills to Redrocks to see seals sun bathing. I got lost and hit some serious elevation. That was all on me, but made amazing memories!! Would rent again!

I leased an e-bike from these guys for 3 months then bought from them too. They offer a great deal where you can get up to 3 months lease costs off the full price of a new bike as a way to test out both whether you want to buy one and also, what kind of bike you want to buy. It was such a great value way to do this and I tried out a couple over the 3 months - one more a commuter ebike and one that’s one of their new EMBC range. Bought the EMBC from them. Brilliant customer service and advice. Great quality bikes. Highly recommend.

Great option to see Wellington in few hours! As our cruise ship arrived to Wellington, we got a message from the bike shop that the weather might cause them to cancel the tour. We did the tour anyway and it was great! Genevieve, our tour guide, was very informative and fun. As she stopped to tell us about Wellington & NZ history, we also learn about the social & political dynamics of this beautiful capital city. Most of the tour is on dedicated bike paths, so no need to deal with cars, except on few roads. There is a stop for drinks & snacks in a cafe, before heading to a hill that commands a 360 degrees of the Wellington harbor. Riding the E-bikes made the tour easy & effortless. The guys at the bike shop were extremely friendly & handy, making the whole checking process fast and easy. There are great eateries nearby to get good food after the ride.

Outstanding service! I had my bike booked in for some work before lockdown. I live out of town, so couldn’t justify coming in under level 3. Ryan and Eric kept in contact with me and proactively suggested a time that might work once we got to level 2. They managed my expectations and communicated exceedingly well. One part of my job did not work out, due to a fault with a part that I supplied. So they proposed to not charge me for that portion of the labour, until I could supply a replacement part. Since I got home, they have also been in touch with other ideas. I say again: Outstanding service.

I was initially going to just hire a e-bike for the day but was offered a last-minute place on the Electric Bays Tour - it was informative, easy riding and much fun on the e-bike! Our guide Jimmy was friendly and told us lots of stories about Wellington and Maori myths. You should ask him about Māui's death... We rode the bikes all the way to the other side of the bay, and had a coffee (incl.) before heading back into town and up the Mt Vic lookout. Blessed with great weather all morning. Would highly recommend!

This is more of a customer services review than a product review. I booked a session to use one of their electric bikes for the whole business day but I had unlucky timing, as I had booked for a session that would occur during an intense rainy and windy day. The guy working there at the time was very understanding though, and gave me a full refund. Their bikes looked really good though, I believe if I was able to ride them then I would've had a ton of fun.

Friendly people and a very convenient location. We appreciated the area to practise our rusty cycling skills before setting off, and the suggestion of testing out our gears and e-bike motors on the ramps at the stadium was very helpful. Hiring an e-bike for a day really is the best way to experience Wellington and we had a fantastic time.

A great way to see wellington, especially on a windy day. The electric bike is great option when contending with the headwind or hills. There are also some great cafes to enjoy, which will make the journey less arduous.

Great place to rent bikes downtown on the waterfront. My girlfriend and I both rented mountain bikes and were very satisfied with the quality of the bikes but also the excellent customer service from Jimmy! He was very informative about the various trails around Wellington but also setting up the bikes perfectly for us. Thanks again and keep it up!

Rented out high quality and very powerful Bosch bikes for a reasonable price and in an excellent location on the Wellington waterfront. The owner was friendly and didn't even mention is going a few minutes late on the rental. If you want to see the sights in Wellington, go here.

The bike itself is great, a helmet and a map on which I was marked for good cycling routes and places where the wind makes riding very difficult. I highly recommend :) (Original) Jeszcze przed przyjazdem do Nowej Zelandii bez problemu zarezerwowałem rower. Sam rower świetny, do tego kask i mapa, na której zaznaczono mi trasy dobre do jazdy rowerem oraz miejsca, w których wiatr mocno utrudnia jazdę. Bardzo rekomenduję :)
