This is the best butcher in Aotearoa. As soon as you walk in you’re met with kindness , good conversation and wonderful customer service. The quality & variety of the meat is exceptional and of such high standard. The taste and flavours are amazing. Always a happy customer and find it’s a whole experience when you walk in! You’re a fool if you shop at the supermarkets or anywhere else for meat. Come here, support your local!

In my personal experience this is an amazing place, there is a lot of variety so many high quality things to choose from, great prices, everything you may need for your BBQ, and the customer service is great and in my opinionthe prices are amazing, they really understand what you need, I strongly recommend them.

Avons Butchery has become my go to for a number of reasons. The staff love doing their job and it comes across as soon as you open the door. The know their product and are always happy to share thoughts on how to cook it. Dom (the boss) is constantly looking how to improve the service and what he offers to customers and will always listen to suggestions. He's actually pretty sharp on cooking advice as well. It has an old school feel with an owner that's constantly looking forward. Love it

Not only are these guys always extremely helpful - they offer the best bacon and ham in Auckland. We had given up on supermarket ham some time ago, but had forgotten why. We were given some this xmas after we purchased our xmas ham from Avons - and the difference is light night and day. Avon's is firm, smokey and delicious, the supermarket stuff takes like tasteless slightly salty ick. Their bacon is the same, its superb either by itself or mixed with a dish where you want to say "Hey, there is bacon in this!!".

Another place that i try to stop in when I'm in the area. Great biltong, sausages, or seasoned meats. Also have pig ears for the dog on occasion! Bacon's good, as you might imagine... Meat.
