R.While I was paying for my Biltong today an unmasked person entered the store and refused to wear a mask. They asked him to wait outside until we left but they still served him. The guy was in a small confined space with us and touched common surfaces, then stood right in front of the door so we had to walk past him when we exited. We are currently in red. His attitude suggested he was being deliberately defiant. I regret my purchase now and won't be going back.

P.Dropped in here for the first time yesterday. Beautifully presented produce that looked to be great quality and prices were reasonable. Very prompt polite service too. Bought a shoulder of lamb that was delicious, Will definitely be back.

J.Meat is of the best quality. Being from South Africa, I haven’t had better biltong since I’ve gotten here. All their South African foods are always fresh and delicious! The best I’ve had in New Zealand.
M.The Meat Room staff is always very friendly and welcoming. They are always happy to have quick chat or to offer advice for how to prepare meats, sausages, etc. We've been getting the food for the BBQ here for several years now and have never been disappointed. They also sell specialties like boere wore and biltong. The quality is really good. Give it try!
J.I'm a visiting South African in NZ until borders are again open for me to return. I can vouch that this establishment makes the best boerewors in NZ and even better than what I can get in SA. Their biltong and droer works is excellent. Lovely people to deal with and I wish them every success. Try them you will not be sorry.
G.Best meat around for all meats. Biltong meat is best you'll find. Not tough or stringy. . I bought from somewhere else recently and had 2 bites and threw away and sent here again. Nice meat. Hired staff super friendly.
B.Always a great shop for all your meat requirements. They have such a big variety of different sausages, steaks, chicken, salami's, vacuum packed meats etc. Spices and different condiments and lots of treats to make the "Braai" (Barbeque) special. They have Biltong Dry Wors / Sausage, Chilli Bites and then on Fridays they get in some traditional eats such as Milk Tarts, Rusks etc. The display of their different types of meat etc. is of a very high standard and great cuts.
The staff are great and very friendly and as a regular they learn to know you. Very highly recommended and will definitely be back again, very soon. It is always worth the long trip to do the meat purchases here.
M.You come here for the meat but you leave with more than that. You leave with an experience and a smile on your face. These guys are friendly and the store is so well designed. As a born South African I can confirm this is the best biltong in Auckland.
