J.Michael and his team are very knowledgeable and friendly. They pride themselves on the best cuts of meat in Canterbury. Not only do the provide the best organic free range meat around. They also have a wide selection of other goodies. including rubs, micro herbs, glazes, sauces and even smoked salmon at great prices. Pop on down. you won't be disappointed.

D.Excellent service. My go to organic butcher when I want THE best cuts of red meat, particularly good steak for a recipe I do we call 'Japanese beef' or having guests. When I have failed to get down to the shop or order online & risked buying at Supermarket it is NEVER as good - plus everyone likely knows now& the kg price is same!
Oh - it's our go to for sausages,venison & bacon as well, 🥓 does nitrate free. I'm GF so don't have to worry about that here
A.Being a farmer’s son I have a high standard when it come to need and Beckenham Butcher hit that mark. Great cuts of meat and wonderful flavours to match. Knowing it is in-house made is reassuring that the Quality will be excellent. I highly recommend them.
S.I'm retired, so I have eaten a lot of dinners over my time. The pork roast I got from Beckenham Butchery was quite simply to best, most tender meat I have ever eaten - and the crackling was to fight for! I have another leg waiting to go in the oven. Mmmmm! (don't forget the apple sauce).

S.Not just top quality meats, rubs and sauces, the even better part is the willingness to answer questions and offer advice. My maple syrup cured smoked pork belly bacon is our incredible treat on Xmas day and the recipe and advice came from Beckenham Butchery.

My favourites are the organic and aged ribeye steaks sliced just right for a reverse sear and the whole eye fillet just magnificent beef.
The children's favourites are the pork & apple cider sausages 10/10.
We all love the smallgoods, sliced ham, smoked chicken, preservative free bacon and the wagyu pastrami, the favourites just go on and on.
The online ordering, "contactless to your door" delivery service is wonderful during lockdown and outside of lockdown for when you are just too busy.
I honestly recommend the friendly "everyone's a local" service and quality meats and that's why I keep going back.
I have NEVER once been disappointed.

G.Arrived a few weeks ago in NZ and new to Christchurch, just discover this amazing place, yesterday, friendly staff, organic products without nitrates possibility and just meat-salt and pepper keto sausages and all that at an affordable price, thank you guys for doing this butchery the way you are doing it, it does resonate with me, my values and what we believe the best for our family.

R.What can I say about Beckenham Butchery that hasn't already been said. If you want the best locally sourced organic meat in town or Black Origin Waygu, go here. This butchers is the best thing since sliced ham. My husband and I would argue every week about where we'd buy our meat. Now we fight each other just to make a visit to see Mike & Julian (who's French and sometimes hard to understand but sounds kind of cute). I used to be a vegetarian (honestly) but I just can't get enough of the bangers here. Top notch.
